SCENT's board-certified otolaryngologists utilize years of specialized experience and advance treatment options to relieve and resolve ENT issues, from childhood tonsillitis to thyroid issues and ENT cancers. We work closely with referring physicians to ensure a well-orchestrated continuum of care.
I was suffering from a terrible deviated septum most of my life, Dr. Ossoff and his team have done a wonderful job for me. After getting an Open Rhinoplasty I have a new life. Thank you so much! At SCENT, we provide a full range of ear, nose and throat services to treat conditions ranging from chronic sinusitis or ear infections to damaged vocal cords or throat issues. We also treat cancers, thyroid, parathyroid and salivary gland conditions. In addition, our physicians employ in-office diagnostics and are able to perform many procedures, including CT scanning in the office as well, making SCENT the preferred choice for many Midlands patients.

Finally got an appointment after calling and leaving messages with no return call. It takes me 45+ minutes to get to the office they scheduled me at. I call them a few minutes before my appointment to let them know I was stuck in traffic behind an accident and was told it would be fine. I get there and am told I was marked as a no-show because they have a very strict late policy and I would have to reschedule.
I explained everything and asked if she could let the doctor know my situation. She then got a really nasty attitude telling me that she would not talk to the doctor and that I should have scheduled for a later time since I have trouble getting there on time and there was nothing she could (or would) do. Then she tells me that after 2 no-shows, I won't be allowed back.
I haven't even seen a doctor yet and I'm already fed up with this place. I had to take a day off work (the only day I can for months) just for them to tell me they won't see me.

The staff was very friendly and welcoming on our first visit. The doctor was thorough in explaining before and after hearing screening expectations for our newborn. The visit was quick and the office was clean, which is very necessary during COVID-19. I am very pleased with the level of care and expertise that was given to our little one during the screening.

I visited the Irmo walk in clinic. I was informed there was a minimal hour wait, which I understood and waited. After waiting about 1hr 20 mins I was called back to the exam room. The assistant was pleasant, took my information and then told me someone would be with me shortly. I waited, I waited 40 mins and still no one. I opened the exam door and called out into the hallway "Hello?!", nothing but the smell of a Lean Cuisine.
I then opened the door back to the reception desk. I asked where was the staff since I've been waiting 45 in the exam room. I was told they were at lunch. I then asked how long was their lunch break, it was an hour, they had 15 more minutes left. The website doesn't say the office closes for lunch. Promptly at the top of the hour the PA came into the exam room.
Including my exam, and telling her I had been left in an exam room for an hour, my time with her was 8 minutes. The while checking out I asked for the office manager. I was told she rotates offices, the receptionist took my name and email for the manager to call me (two weeks later and I'm still waiting). I went to get my prescription, the ear drops were over $200. I called their nurse line for a call back, it's been two weeks and I'm still waiting. I am disappointed in SCENT customer service. I would not recommend.

As bad as I hate needles and I get 2 shots sometimes 3 a week, I love this office and the staff. The Doctors and staff are very friendly. They always seem to have a great day and enjoy what they do. When I enter I am always greeted by my name, a smile and/or eye contact if they are not with another patient or on a phone call.

I've been super happy with my treatment here. The staff are all professional but personable and the doctor has never, once, felt rushed and was incredibly kind about answering the 1000's of questions I asked about care options. While he was completely open to stating his opinion on the best course of action, it didn't feel like a mandate. Definitely recommend them!
