As a board certified, South Carolina plastic surgeon, Dr C. Brett Carlin has been practicing state of the art cosmetic plastic surgery in Columbia since 1998. His practice is limited to aesthetic surgery of the face, breast, and body, as well as reconstructive surgery of the face and breast for defects incurred as a result of cancer.
Loss of skin elasticity, gravity and other factors such as weight loss, pregnancy and breast-feeding ultimately affect the shape and firmness of your breasts. Patients who are generally satisfied with the size of their breasts can have a breast lift to raise and firm them, resulting in a more youthful breast contour.
Patients who undergo breast reduction surgery are often seeking relief from physical symptoms caused by the excessive weight of large breasts. Breast reduction can usually solve these problems as well as improve the size and shape of your breasts. Following breast reduction, your breasts will be more proportional to the rest of your body, body aches and pains caused by the excessive breast weight may be relieved, plus your clothes will fit you better.Very pleased with my results. A Brachioplasty, otherwise known as an arm lift, can remove the excess skin and fat deposits, leaving the upper arms with a more pleasing and youthful contour. As a person ages, upper arm skin can become loose and flabby. Dr. Carlin will consult with you about undergoing surgery for an arm lift if you wish to tighten your underarm skin for a fresher and more youthful look. To accomplish this look, an incision will be made that extends from the elbow to the underarm, and sometimes onto the side of the chest.

41 year old mom of 2 kids with prior and recent significant weight loss. I originally saw Dr. Carlin roughly 10 years ago after losing 100 pounds, but he suggested I wait until after I am done having kids. Fast forward and I am now 3 days post Tummy tuck. I could not be happier with my results so far. Even with the expected swelling, my tummy looks so much better.
The staff at his office has been exceptional. Always very friendly and helpful. The experience at the outpatient surgery center was phenomenal as well. Could not ask for a better experience all around. Thank you Dr Carlin and staff for everything!

I was so nervous walking in not knowing what to expect. Dr. Carlin is like being with a dear friend. He is kind, funny and most importantly professional. His office is beautiful, his staff is outstanding and you immediately feel that they care for you as the patient. I am looking forward to my procedure, the day can't come fast enough! Dr Carlin is an absolutely wonderful surgeon. From my initial consult, he was very honest with me, he listened to what I wanted, and was very polite and understanding. He removed saline breast implants I had prior and replaced them with silicone and I am so in love! I was so worried my scars would be worse, and he actually took the time to fix my previous scars and made them less noticeable.
I am only 4 weeks post op and they already look absolutely incredible. I am so beyond happy with how everything went, the surgery, the staff, the aftercare, the follow up appointment. I am going back in 2 weeks for another follow up and to talk to him about doing some more work. I recommend him to EVERYONE looking to get any cosmetic surgery.

Excellent doctor & staff. I've used him twice for a breast lift & bracheoplasty arm over the last 2 years. Very little pain, virtually no scarring & Dr. Carlin was not only pleasant & caring but called me back in minutes over a holiday when I had a concern. He's always helpful, pleasant, funny & definitely great at what he does. No hint of infection, little swelling or bruising & absolutely clean everywhere.
Excellent results, arms look great & breasts look like they did 30 years ago! Caring & consistent office staff always willing to answer questions patiently, feels like they care & want to help. Definitely would not go anywhere else!

I had an amazing experience with Dr. Carlin and his staff for my breast augmentation. After doing hours of research of surgeons throughout the state, I chose Dr. Carlin and I'm glad I did. He's knowledgeable, informative, and very helpful. I wasn't sure which size to go with for my body shape but Dr. Carlin was very helpful in choosing a size for the image that I wanted! I am two weeks post-surgery and I'm already healing so well. Great experience!

Dr. Carlin and his staff are absolutely amazing! The entire process from the consultation to the surgery to post-op was easier than I ever thought possible. It hasn't even been a week since my surgery and I can't wait for the results. I text Dr. Carlin whenever I have a concern/question between appointments and he is always so accommodating and helpful. Dr. Carlin and his staff are amazing! The doc's bedside manner and compassion is something you just don't find everyday. Dr. Carlin will make sure you are informed and prepared as best as possible for surgery. I had a lot of anxiety day of surgery and the entire staff at the surgery center and Dr. Carlin put me right at ease. I'm 3 weeks post surgery and my results are beyond anything I expected and I still have 3 months to go before I see full results. I'm a very happy patient!
