We are a group of dedicated physicians who sought to fill a gap in pain care when we started our practice in 2007. After years of treating patients with chronic pain in a hospital setting, we came together to find a better patient-centric concept to treat and manage pain. We are extremely proud of our innovative, patient-centered approach and are the only pain management Patient Centered Specialty Practice (PCSP) in Massachusetts recognized by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA).Our team includes highly skilled physicians, board-certified in pain management, anesthesiology, neurology, psychiatry, and sleep medicine, along with behavioral therapists, nurse practitioners, and other staff members who work together to develop a successful treatment plan for each patient in our care.

Services
Depending on the patient's type of headache or facial pain, an individualized plan of care will be developed. This can include medication adjustments and/or procedures such as nerve blocks, trigger points, or Botox injections. In addition to the specific headache treatments, behavioral health support can be provided.

Boston Pain Care is careing from beginning to end. Dr. Barnes listens, he is attentive & he gives you options. I have had many pain injections at a hospital & none of it was like the great care I received at BPC. If you ever considered managing your chronic pain give BPC a try. They will not pressure you to do anything.

The staff are always very kind and attentive, really making the experience smooth. The treatment the doctor provides is the best I have ever have. I have had migraines for 35 years and have never experienced the relief I do now while seeing the Boston PainCare. I was extremely happy with the care, information and support I received from Dr. Silk. He didn't just throw meds at me but explained my options and listened to all of my crazy symptoms, helping me understand what I was experiencing. I wish more doctors were as supportive, informative and instructive as he is. I feel like I finally have someone that is on my side and will work to find the right treatment for me. I have been a patient at Boston Pain Care for several years. Any doctor I've encountered has been caring, compassionate, professional and very familiar with many types /causes of pain. I have had different treatments for my pain. Most often, I've attained a level of lesser pain. Marina is the NP I see. She is awesome! She follows my care and pain levels monthly. She follows up with suggestions, as well as prescribing my pain medication. I am very satisfied with all the care I have received at BPC.

I had a great experience with Boston Pain Care. The staff is super professional and the facility is squeaky clean. It made me feel very safe. I saw Doctor Barnes for the first time and found him to be very knowledgeable and empathetic to my shoulder pain. He suggested a number of options and we decided on one. I definitely recommend this organization.

I always have wonderful visits at Boston Pain Care! Everyone is friendly, caring and helpful. I especially am so happy with Doctor Silk. He has to be the most wonderful doctor that I've ever met! Everyone is so friendly and caring. The nurses are wonderful, always asking if I need anything ( such as a blanket to warm me ). Dr. Barnes is just fantastic, he has helped me in more ways than I can tell you. He is always willing to listen and he offers great advise. If it were not for him I would be in terrible pain and probably facing a big life changing surgery. He is my lifesaver and I am not exaggerating! Thank you to Dr. Barnes and his team!

I have been a headache patient at Boston paincare for over 7 years and they have never been disappointed in the care I received. Sarah Smith is an amazing nurse practitioner who always has time for me, returns calls and makes sure that I get the care I need. The staff, nursing and mas on the surgery side especially are wonderful. I've recommended the practice many times and wouldn't go anywhere else.
