My wife called in for an appointment and, due to her symptoms, was not allowed at the office which is understandable. Instead, the got her symptoms over the phone and called in a prescription. A couple of weeks goes by and we receive a statement where they charged $225 for an office outpatient visit for 15 minutes. She didn't visit the office and the fact that they billed our insurance for this amount for a phone call is absurd. This is what I would call greedy and a rip off. For this amount to be charged, an actual office visit will suffice next time. Otherwise, don't charge this amount.
