Scott & Christie Eyecare Associates is an extension of the ophthalmology practice of the late Dorothy Christie Scott, MD. Dr. Scott was a pioneer in the field, becoming one of only a few female ophthalmologists in the Pittsburgh area when she began her practice in 1958. We currently offer services at offices located in Fox Chapel and Cranberry Township.
Our offices are open for our patients; our offices are accessible, comfortable and convenient. In today's health care market, having access to care and building patient/doctor relationships is important. Being an independent practice, and not health system owned practice, we provide our patients with customized health care to meet their needs and the needs of their family.
Each day, your eyes act like a camera, using the lens to bring into focus the various images and words you see. A cataract develops when the clear lens of your eye gradually becomes cloudy, which can make your vision blurry and produce an increase in glare. While researchers have yet to determine the exact cause of a cataract, they speculate that several environmental factors influence cataract development. These factors include smoking, excess weight, trauma, steroid use, diabetes and excessive exposure to sunlight.

The team at Good Looks eye Wear are the best of the best! I arrived for my appointment early and they got me in early. The team at the Fox Chapel office are very very pleasant to deal with! I always love visiting the Fox Chapel office because of how pleasant the team is and how efficient they are. These guys are the the best of the best and I mean that from the bottom of my heart. I love working with these guys!

Very thorough exam with kind staff in a beautiful space. It took longer than I expected, about an hour and a half, with lot of wait time. I wish they had texted me a reminder about my appointment ahead of time. There was an auto dialed call reminder, but I like visual reminders. Overall, great, especially where it counts.

Wonderful staff and experience. I highly recommend Scott & Christie Eyecare Associates to anyone with eye care needs. The doctors are so nice and truly provide the best care. The staff is excellent. You will know that you made the right decision and feel great about trusting with all of your eye care needs. They are really impressive and can provide anything from eyeglasses, sunglasses, to corrective surgery, trust Scott & Christie with your vision and tell a friend. I was very impressed.
