My husband had his Ray Ban frames break while he was in the middle of a 12 hour nursing shift. We had to bring him his old prescription glasses very late at night and this is the correct protocol according to Lisa the manager at Wilkinson Eye Center. Everyone should have their "old" pair with them is what I was was told told by Lisa. While my husband struggled to read patients charts, IV bags and Meds, and his glasses that cost nearly $400 were falling apart he was "supposed" rely on the old pair.
What an insensitive way to run a business. I asked for a new frame to be ordered so they ordered a new frame, but nothing else. Didn't offer a different frame, or a backup frame. Nothing. Will not be returning after this.

Messed up my script and "corrected" the wrong eye. When brought to their attention, they became offended and acted as though I didn't know what I was talking about. I then had a worker try to "trick" me and take me out front for an eye check to make an example of me in front of other patients in the waiting area. Very unprofessional and rude. I've never gone back and now HAVE to wear glasses at all times, rather than just reading because now, the good eye has been ruined from this script.

I recently had cataract surgery with Dr. Wilkinson, and am very pleased with the results. Also, I got new glasses needed with the changes after surgery, and am so happy with these glasses. Now my mid-range, close range and distance are all very clear, something I hadn't experienced in awhile. All the staff have been very kind, and they accommodated my need for getting the glasses quickly, since we're moving out of state soon. I am totally happy with the whole experience.

I just called to make an appointment. I remembered going to this place maybe 25 years ago, only at the Pontiac office. I can only describe it as a vivid nightmare. To the doctor was in a hurry, and angry about something. He took his anger out on me. I was having problems with dry eye and he decided I needed plugs. They are placed in your tear ducts to keep moisture in eyes.
I remember him yelling at the girl helping him. She brought the wrong plugs. Apparently he was in such a hurry he used plugs that were too large for my eyes. I cannot describe the pain I endured for the next 3 days. My appointment was on a Friday afternoon. The plugs were sticking out of my tear ducts. You could actually see them. Every time I blinked.
I wanted to rip them out myself. The following Monday I returned and they were removed. When I called today, I was informed I had a balance of around $140.00 and could not make an appointment until it was paid in full. I didn't know how I would have an unpaid bill and not know about it. When I hung up I remembered what happened and why I refused to pay.
It's actually a good thing I was refused. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone I can't believe after all of the pain and negligent treatment, they had the audacity to bill me for a procedure that was done incorrectly. It's too bad we have a statute of limitations. They are so busy keeping track of their cash flow, they forgot where their priorities should be. On their patients.

Be sure you know what the price will be for your exam. I was quoted $50.00 and charged $120.00. Twice someone promised to contact me from the business office but no one ever called to explain. I know there was a misunderstanding on both sides of the appointment phone call, but the $120.00 amount NEVER was mentioned. I could have gotten a simple eye exam at many other places for substantially less so why would I spend $120.00? Feeling very frustrated at the lack of communication by the staff.

What a horrible experience. I called on a Friday after speaking with 3 other places that could get me in the same day, they just did not take my insurance. When I asked Wilkinson about when they could get me in after finding out they do accept my insurance the lady on the phone said next week sometime. Normally not a big deal but when I asked if they had anything available for the same day, she laughed at me and said it's Friday.
Not sure what is funny about someone asking a question but she was rude about it. As a Clarkston resident I will never step foot in there and will drive for a eye appointment with a place that does not find my questions funny. Shame on you lady for making people feel that way. You sounded older and should know better.
