Dayton General Hospital was established in 1960 with the vision and mission of providing high quality healthcare to the local communities. We are a Public Hospital District with Critical Access Hospital, Level V Trauma Center, and Level III Cardiac and Stroke Center designations. Our primary service areas include Dayton, Waitsburg, Starbuck, and surrounding areas.
We are located in Southeastern Washington, within the Touchet River Valley of the Blue Mountains and the Columbia County seat of Dayton. Dayton is the center of the charming rural community we serve. Located just 60 miles from Tri-Cities WA, Lewiston ID, and just 35 miles to Walla Walla WA, we are only a short drive to wineries, restaurants, galleries, and shopping centers.
By Proclamation 20-28, Governor Inslee authorized the Columbia County Public Hospital District Board of Commissioners to conduct regular and special meetings remotely (no in-person attendance) so long as the public is provided with an option for attending the meeting by remote access. Beginning with the District's regular meeting scheduled to occur on 3/25/2020 and continuing through the term of the Proclamation, the District's Board of Commissioners' regular and special meetings, and all other meetings conducted by the District subject to the Open Public Meetings Act, RCW 43.06, can only be attended remotely.
The purpose of the Columbia County Health System's Compliance (CCHS) Program is to ensure that CCHS operations are conducted in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations as well as all policies and procedures and in accordance with our mission, vision, and values. CCHS associates have a duty to report any actual or suspected illegal, unethical, or improper conduct.

Every time I take family or clients to Dayton hospital they are treated with respect and sincere caring. Have never been disappointed in the experience there with drs. or nurses.
