From my wife: I saw Dr. James Miller throughout my pregnancy with twins. Dr. Miller has been the best doctor I have ever had so far in my life. He listen to my concerns, he personally called me on the phone to discuss my concerns, he was by my side all the way through my pregnancy that made me fill comfortable that my twins were in good hands. The staff at the office was 100% great, caring, and also listen to any concerns I had.

The ultrasound tech is absolutely amazing as well. Dr. James Miller even called me personally to check on how my babies were doing after birth, that meant the world to me that my doctor cared so much to call me personally in an evening to check up on me. I can't thank Dr. James Miller enough how appreciative I am of him throughout my pregnancy. If you want an outstanding doctor and care, please call Wooster OBGYN, and ask for Dr. James Miller. Thanks again to Dr. James Miller and his staff.

Was diagnosed with PCOS and was trying for a baby for 14 years, and it finally happened. Was a shocker, but thrilled. Dr Holmes Mason is my OBGYN. Since I'm older with a few other issues, I was considered high risk and needed to be monitored a little more. I never had any issues with my Dr, the nurses. If I called the nurse, or was a their office with a question, I never had an issue getting an answer. The staff is friendly, caring, and a few have a great sense of humor. I never felt unsafe, neglected in their office.

Horrible experience overall. My daughter had an emergency cystectomy done at Wooster Hospital and unfortunately we were given a GYN from this facility. The biggest regret we have is trusting them with her care. Terrible before and after care when it came to the surgery.what a scary thought to know that a surgeon will only bother to "skim" the first page of medical history/results before performing a surgical procedure on a patient they have never seen before.

Could have been potentially deadly. Didn't properly care for or observe my daughter after surgery, and now she is continuing to suffer complications months afterward. She is still in pain every single day. Rather than actually taking some time and effort to look into the reasons behind all the pain/discomfort or admit fault in the sense that the surgery itself is the true cause of her ongoing pain; the surgeon we were given (Dr. Holmes-Mason) was far too eager to perform surgeries they are perhaps not qualified/experienced enough with (especially when it comes to patients under the age of 18), and far too eager to prescribe pain meds which only complicate the situation further.

She felt neglected as a patient. Since the surgery, we have been to a handful of other doctors and Specialists just to help correct the mistakes the GYN's at this facility made. We've been in and out of the ER for various complications. To this day we are still trying to get our daughter back to normal. Something else to keep in mind if you are considering this facility: They are NOT accredited by the same place that accredits the Wooster Hospital itself (DNV GL Healthcare).

Our family personally had a horrible experience with this clinic. A surgeon from this clinic, Summer Holmes Mason, was chosen to perform the emergency cystectomy on my 12 year old daughter. Had we known more about this business beforehand, we would have requested someone else entirely. She seemed distant after first meeting us, leaving for hours at a time with no updates as to when the procedure would be performed.

We were told this was an emergency, yet nearly 12 hours passed from the moment she was admitted to the ER to when the surgery was performed. Holmes Mason did not review my daughter's medical chart/history before the surgery, so she was unaware of the blood disorder my daughter had. My daughter had difficulties after the surgery, but we were simply given a prescription for miralax and pain medicine and told to go home.

The aftercare was even more terrible than this. Holmes Mason never personally followed up on my daughter, and it was very difficult to call in to have questions answered or to get an appointment. Sometimes the clinic would not even return my phone calls. We felt like we were abandoned after this surgery, which we are now beginning to wonder the medical necessity of in the first place. Had we known, we would have demanded a second opinion before. Holmes Mason's bedside manner was awful and did not make my daughter feel at ease at any point during this time.

She ordered a procedure which later sent my daughter back to the ER with anaphylactic shock. She never resolved my daughter's chronic pain or digestive issues which arose immediately after the surgical procedure. Every laxative or medicine she prescribed worsened the condition or added more conditions to what she already had. My daughter missed weeks and weeks of school in total.

We went to countless other specialists after this. After a formal complaint was made, a meeting was called in between myself, my daughter, Dr. Anne Shriner and Dr. Summer Holmes Mason. It was inappropriate for my daughter to be there discussing serious medical issues and complaints about negligence. The doctors forgot my name and called me by the wrong name more than once, which was humiliating.

I was asked if I measured every cup of water my daughter drank, to make sure I was giving her enough. I felt debased as a person. They also tried to humiliate my daughter in regard to her sexual orientation, making a terrible joke during all of this. I was appalled by their behavior and the surreality of the whole experience. After this we all mutually decided to end care.

The nightmare didn't end there, though, as we recently also found out their clinic did not file insurance claims correctly and were now being denied due to their errors. If your child is told they need emergency gynecological surgery at Wooster Hospital, please ask for a second opinion if you are given a surgeon from Wooster OB/GYN. It's nearly eight months since my daughter's surgery and she is still recovering and still experiencing chronic daily pain and ill health, neither of which she had before the surgery.
