Dr. Sherman is very knowledgeable and explains everything thoroughly throughout the procedure. The facility is top notch and everyone that I came in contact with, including ny intake nurse (sorry, I forgot your name) was pleasant and welcoming. It is refreshing to have great customer service in this day and age.

The doctors are very nice and thorough and professional. The staff are mostly helpful and courteous. I have had an issue with the billing department but the Dr. Promptly took care of the matter when I brought it to his attention. The only other issue I'm not pleased with is the wait time. It is ridiculous and somewhat rude to keep patients waiting in a room full of people to the point that there are no seats available. If you're going to make us wait for hours at least have seating and water available for purchase. I'm very happy with the care I've received.

BEWARE! All about the money here. I thought I would give them a try, wish I didn't. First of all, the doctor was nice enough. That's why the 2 star. I didn't have an issue with him or the actual exam. I went in for my yearly. They told me they had to do a "contact fitting test" for new clients but the insurance would cover it. Never had a fitting test before but I went along.
After exam. they told me the insurance only covers "part" of it, my share was $55. I wasn't happy but they rush you through at checkout and I just paid it. Went to order my contacts. 3 people waiting behind me. Bought only 1 box to try. Was told each box was $89. I paid the difference from what insurance covers. Did research when I got home, found contacts online for $34 a box. Called them to ask for a refund, was told she would speak with her manager Monica and get back to me. Well. of course no call back.
I called the next day, was told they do price match but has to be at time of purchase. They would not refund the difference. So, they push you through check-out, don't give you time to research other prices, charge TRIPLE, refuse to adjust when asked, and charge for unneeded test. I was telling my friends about my experience and a couple of them said they had the same experience with Novis.
These guys have so many little side scams and get people for extra money day in and day out. Scammers! Beware please. Update: - after sending numerous emails for a week they reached out to me and refunded the price match difference. They did not do anything about the "fitting test fee" though.

I was told I didn't need an appointment to come in and get my eyes and glasses checked. I got in and was turned away, being told I need an appointment. Moreover, the women at the front desk did not make me feel comfortable or relaxed. I felt rushed, my anxiety shot up, and couldn't communicate my problem properly.

I have a new diagnosis of MS and I have been trying to get in since August. They have cancelled two appointments so far, both very last minute. This is placing extra burdens on me since I have to arrange for transportation since I am not able to drive myself at this time. My husband has had to put in vacation days to take me, so he has now wasted two vacation days from work for nothing. Not a good impression so far.

Had lasik surgery and dr accidentally left a recovery contact in my eye for over 6 weeks post surgery and neglected to tell me it was in there despite multiple post op appointments where they never saw it. Also someone in billing contacted me almost 3 months ago to tell me they overcharged me almost $400 and owed me money but never saw it. Honestly one of the most unprofessional businesses I have ever had the displeasure to deal with. Pain and everything else to which they never apologized for. You have choices where you go. Use my experience as a cautionary tale and stay clear of this place.

Outstanding service from scheduling the appointment to picking out frames. They were able to get me quick, I had no waiting once I checked in, the staff was friendly and explained everything as they went along. The Dr. Sherman was Outstanding! The prices were way below what I expected to pay, they knew what they were doing. Definitely will recommend them. Great team this facility has. Thank you, Carla

Started my experience with Novus Clinic in Tallmadge on Jan 26, 2021. I ordered new lens for my existing frames and order a pair of occupational glasses for work. The order/prescriptions on both pairs when ordered were wrong after waiting 2 weeks for them to come in. To make an extremely long story short, it's now May 25th and finally, after probably more than 10 or so visits, I FINALLY have two pairs of glasses I can wear.
Definitely shouldn't have taken 4 months to get your prescriptions correct, glasses adjusted properly! If you have nothing to do in life other than visit Novus Clinic then this place is for you. Will not be using them again. You can't just walk in, doors are always locked and they have to let you in the door. When someone is not sitting at the door, you have to ring a buzzer to let them know your standing outside. Absolutely crazy for a business. P.S. I will say the optical staff, as incompetent as they are, were always very pleasant!

After waiting over an hour for My appointment (while others with a different doctor went quicker) I was told I was having a routine test. Never being told if insurance didn't cover it, it would cost me over $700.00. Then blaming me saying it was my responsibility to know if it was covered. Despite the doctor never telling me this was an extra test. There was no offer to cut the cost. I do not recommend them. They also cancelled one of my appointments and did not bother to inform me.

I've been a patient of Dr Pirman for about 30 years, he's absolutely one of the nicest, friendliest and most efficient dr's I've ever seen. His office however, is.busy. That's an understatement. The staff is friendly but the place is an absolute zoo at times, wait times can be long and the waiting room is way too small, often leaving people standing while waiting.
Also I've noticed lots of hidden fees lately. Contact lenses come with a "fitting fee" of $50 or more, glasses has all kinds of fees that get tacked on, and overall it just feels like a shakedown anymore. I still see Dr Pirman (A+) but otherwise I buy my glasses and contacts elsewhere anymore, it's worth it for the savings I get. A+ Dr, C- facility.

If I could give 0 stars I would gladly do that. I have ptosis (drooping eyelids) and Dr. Todd Beyer performed a forehead lift to help improve my vision on October 8,2018. I went home following the surgery and returned for my bandage removal. After removing my bandages D. Beyer, his assistant and myself noticed several spots on my forehead that looked like sores forming. Dr. Beyer asked if the bandages had been too tight and I said that they seemed tight but I don't know what "too tight" is.
He said that the bandages being too tight was the reason for the blisters. I was given cream and told to return in a couple of days. I followed Dr Beyer orders exactly and the spots had now formed into blisters. Some of them had popped on their own. Dr. Beyer told me not to worry because there had been a girl four years prior who's forehead had turned black and he fixed it with more surgeries and he could fix mine down the road.
His flip attitude was horrible. By this time the blisters were getting more and more inflamed, oozing, and painful. At the next appointment the blisters were not improving and Dr. Beyer made several jokes about wearing make up, cutting my hair to hide the damage. I was appalled. I went to the emergency room and the ER doctor conferred with a plastic surgeon, took pictures, and told me that I had necrosis at the surgery site and also an infection.
The doctor cleaned out my wounds due to the dying tissue and gave me an antibiotic along with a referral to another plastic surgeon. After seeing the new plastic surgeon I was pleased that the infection had cleared up. I had to purchase silicone patches to put on the affected areas when they were closed over. This took several weeks to see them close.
I returned for a follow up appointment and the plastic surgeon had expected better results than I was showing after three months. I was given steroid shots into the scar tissue and was told that there would be scars on my forehead forever. He also said that there isn't a plastic surgeon that he knew of that would touch my forehead to fix it because Dr. Beyer has stretched the skin too tight. I'm left with pain in my forehead every day and I had to cut my hair to hide the scars.
This is against the traditions of my church and has hurt me terribly. Not only am I faced with my forehead being scarred but the original reason for the surgery (ptosis) was not corrected. The pain on my forehead is horrible every day. Dr. Beyer left a voice mail and also called me and told me he was losing sleep over this and was sure I was, too.
He apologized and promised to operate on me to fix the problem. There is absolutely no way that man will EVER operate on me. He should lose his medical license. Please do not go to Novus Clinic and especially see Dr. Todd Beyer.

This was the worst run physicans offices I have ever visited. After sitting 25 minutes in the in the waiting room, I was escorted to an examination room. My eyes were diallated by a nice assistant after which I sat for an hour. When the doctor finally arrived, I asked him what took so long. His reply was, "This I s how long it takes to diallated a person's eyes".
This is not true because on other appointments it only took 15 minutes! My eye examination took about 5 minutes, I was told that everything was normal and I went to the reception desk. When I complained about my long wait, the receptionist told me that these things happen and I should have been informed as to when I would see the doctor. I was supposed to receive a sun visor to protect my eyes but I never got one. Fortunetly wife was there to drive me home.
I am supposed to have cataract surgery in the near future and I will not go to Novus Clinic and highly recommend that others avoid this unorganized, non-customer oriented, place!

I have been a customer for decades & was very happy with my service. Unfortunately, in November 2017 when I went in for an eye exam it was done by an intern. I left with a headache & my eyes hurt for hours from both the intern & doctor both looking into my eyes with a bright light. When I took my prescription elsewhere to get a better price, the glasses came back incorrect & here the prescription was wrong. The Novus doctor did redo the exam & found it was indeed wrong, but it was such a negative experience. I'm not sure if I want to go back.

This was a bad experience from the get go. I went for a blephoraplasty and the doctor spent more time talking to another doctor in the room than he did directing anything to me. He talked down to me, even after I explained that my father had been an optometrist and I understood the medical terms. He didn't answer questions but handed me a pamphlet that had no info in it.
I experienced cysts forming on my eyelids after surgery and my concern about them were blown off and I was told repeatedly that they would go away. I knew differently. Then when they finally let me have an appointment to have them dealt with they charged me another time even though it was surgery followup because it was more than 3 months from my surgery.
This after I had complained of them at my last follow up and was told again not to worry about them. They are not good to deal with if you can't pay up front (and in this case the amount they told me I was responsible for was about half what it turned out to be). I was making payments because I am on a fixed income and missed one month. I tried to call to tell them that I couldn't make that month and couldn't get through so they turned me over to collections even though I paid by the end of the month.
Because I had missed that one payment, even though I had made the next one, I had to get nasty to get in to see Dr. Byers to have the cysts removed. The operation also changed the shape of my eyes and they do not match. I see one of their optometrist at another practice, Dr. Gunn and he is excellent. See him at JC Penny. Avoid Novus at all costs

I took my mother to have cataract surgery and she said that she would not go back to have the other eye done. Very unprofessional! They scheduled her surgery for the afternoon and she is diabetic so she couldn't have anything to eat or drink and couldn't take her medicine after midnight prior to surgery. We called to ask and they said that's just the way it is.
One of the girls went over her chart with me in the waiting room in front of others which is a violation of Hippa. They were training a new doctor and let them work on her but did not even ask for her permission! And it took so long that the anesthesia was wearing off and they had to as they put it "Hurry Up". They did not even let her have any recovery time (all the other patients did but because she was the last surgery of the day), less than 5 minutes after surgery they walked her directly from the surgery room out to the waiting area and said goodbye. Got her to the car and her hand was bleeding from the IV. Before I even started the car the person who walked her out was already walking to her car to leave. I would never recommend this place!

I decided to go to Novus because it was close to my house and it was a certified VSP provider. I just needed a annual eye exam and to rder a year worth of contacts. I came to my appt and filled out all my paperwork ahead of time, I waited 2 1/2 hours before I was actually seen by the Dr. Pirman. The trial contacts they wanted me to wear were not in stock so they had to order them.
I came back to my f/u to check the fit on my contacts and waited a 1 1/2 to be called back the dr never even looked at my eyes to check the fit. I let him know that my eyes were very dry from the new contacts and he than recommended I try a different pair of contacts. The contact room was full so they asked me to take a seat and they would call me up.
I was late to a previous engagement so I was unable to stay any longer but they insure me that they would order them and give me a call back. I never recieved a call and ive yet had a chance to order my year supply. He did give me a script from my contact exam and since I recieved such horrible service I thought I just go to Pearl vision, but since Dr. Pirman wrote the brand of contacts of which contacts he recommended I wear they wouldn't even order the contacts since that was on the script. Pearl vision told me I would need a whole new eye exam. I decided not to go back to Novus and just wear my trials till january and go to a new eye Dr. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

I was pretty much happy with my whole experience at Novice eye clinic, smiles and friendly greetings would be nice when you walk in the door. But as a whole, very professional. Dr Stephens was wonderful, patient and informative, very good bedside manner. Would recommend this office to friends and family!

My childhood eye doctor retired a few years ago, I was recommended by a friend to go to Novus Clinic. I got in quickly with Dr. Sude; what I love about him most is that is really explains your examination well. He explains how your eyes work, why it's important to do A, B, C and really goes into detail about what all these tests/results are really informing them. Let's face it, you go to a doctor because they've specialized in (eye) health, so when your doctor is using technical terms when discussing, it doesn't really help those of us to didn't also specialize in that field because we have no idea what any of that means!
Even though I loved my childhood doctor, I always left with my new contacts/glasses and had no idea what was actually happening with my eyes. I never walk out of Novus Clinic confused or concerned about the health of my eyes because Dr. Sude is so thorough and speaks to me on a level which I understand. Andrea King always helps me order contacts after my visit; she is always so positive, informative and friendly! I recommend Novus Clinic 100%, you'll always leave with a smile!
