Bunions are due primarily to genetic factors, but can become painful over time due to trauma, ill-fitting shoes and poor foot structure. What happens, is that the bone connected to the big toe starts to drift outward pushing the big toe sideways into the other toes which can also lead to painful hammertoes, corns and calluses.
Diabetics are prone to poor circulation, have a weakened immune system and impaired nerve function in their feet. Due to poor circulation or lack of sensation after poor circulation, diabetic feet are more susceptible to developing sores, and non-healing wounds which may lead to ulcers. These wounds can also develop into serious infections which can lead to amputations, loss of limbs and even loss of life.
We treat a lot of heel pain or plantar fasciitis in our office. Many of the symptoms include pain when you first get up in the morning, burning, numbness and increased symptoms by the end of the day. The pain is usually caused by tightening of the plantar fascia ligament located on the bottom of the foot.
Many of my patients present with foot or ankle injuries. These injuries could be the result of simply tripping on the stairs, stepping on a foreign object while barefoot or from playing their favorite sports activity. As a podiatrist I'm specially trained to treat foot and ankle injuries with the latest treatment modalities and best outcomes.

I will say the office was clean and it was fairly easy to get an appointment. Nursing staff is very friendly. Not all people at the front desk were masked. I found this disturbing and should have walked out. Podiatrist did not even touch my foot.not even a look. Wanted to give meds right away. I suggested PT as I had done that once before for this issue. Not at all a pleasant experience. I will not go here again. My insurance and my copay are billed quite a bit for a specialist, I am annoyed with the appointment I had.

Dr. Robertozzi is an excellent Dr. I have been to him twice now and he is very professional, takes the time to listen to what is bothering you, addresses and takes care of the problem. I have no complaints at all. The reception desk and the nurses are great also. Very professional, kind, and down to earth. I definitely recommend him for all your foot and ankle needs and problems. 5 stars in my book! I wouldn't use anyone else.

Due to the encroachment of osteoarthritis my feet had begun to cripple worse than my hands. I was reduced to wearing shower shoes as I could find nothing that fit me that did not cause pain. Dr. Robertozzi operated on my right foot. It was causing me the greatest trouble. Now I have a "new" foot. I can celebrate the holidays wearing pretty shoes and better than that my right foot is pain free. We don't often think about our feet until they begin to pain us. I will be forever grateful for Dr. Robetozzi's kindness, care and surgical skill.

Very disappointed in this place I was told for my foot pain that I needed custom insoles that was over 2 months ago that I had them made and the doctor said it would take 3 weeks it's been a couple months. So I call up and the receptionist says she's been on vacation and said that they just came in. a 2 month vacation? so I just hung up and went with another doctor I think this place is just about the $$$ and insurance money and not so much about the patient.
