I have been Hospital here at FirstHealth Moore Regional since the 17th Easter Sunday! Today is theThursdayApril 21stThey have beenSome issuesWith me regarding housekeepingAnd after letting it go on deaf ears I decidedTo call the housekeeping Department directly. I was answeredI byThe housekeeping manager. If I'm not mistaking, his name was Marcus a very polite young man who took the time out of this day at 7:20 p.m. to come to my room 3307 and do some intense cleaning. FirstHealth should be proud to have him as partOf their management teamHe is aValuable asset to your organization

I normally don't give reviews but I was disappointed with the stuff in the Outpatient billing and the stuff that administered the covid test. My dad and I went to get tested for Covid in January of this year. They directed us to the building adjacent to the Reidheart center and I asked the people/nurses as we approached the line if the testing was for free and explained to them that my dad was just visiting from other county and was not a US citizen.
They said it was free. After a few days we got the result. Then after a few more days, I got a mail and said my dad owed them money since he didn't have an insurance here. I called the Billing department and told them that the people we talked to at the testing center lied to us! The billing lady I talked to first said she would speak to her supervisor and came back saying that people who are not from the US pay their test and offered me a 40% discount.
I was very frustrated of this approach and just paid the remaining balance. After almost a month, I got an email again saying that my dad owed another amount. I called again because I could not get to my dads mychart - the second lady that I talked to - she sounded asian - was skeptical in the phone that I was forcing my dad to open his mychart and kept saying "giver her a second" - Seriously not a good customer service!
Then finally a decent lady helped us get into his account. I asked to get transferred to billing and the lady explained to us that we still owed another amount from the physician who swabbed my dad! It's ridiculous! First, they lied to us, and second they didn't inform us of the real amount we owed! Well, they offered us again another 40% discount so I paid the amount owed.
It's VERY frustrating especially in these times of pandemic! I like FirstHealth in General. The labor and delivery people were awesome! The main lab was great. I just got frustrated about what happened.

Conflicting"policies"to follow and Hall monitors with nothing better to do than start a confrontation about said policies. Maybe clearly state what you would like us to do. Do not call security while you are helping bring things to our room. Start telling again about your policies and tell security he needs to be gone. No reasoning or explanation. Just, If he's not going to follow policy I don't want him in My hospital?
Then tell a lie about prior circumstances? No o no e ever tried to trade 50 times. That was your lie. So I'm kicked out. My son needs more care than they have manpower for. The staff is willing to let us help care for him. It's his RIGHT to better care than they can give. Now what? People need to switch. 20 hours is a long time! By your own policy there, nurses should stay in the room and never go to the bathroom or open the doorway for air. And forget about meals too. Need better rules and do not expect people to show you respect if you approach them with hostility. Meagan, karma.

On Monday, May 23rd, my daughter fainted at work and was taken to ER where she was diagnosed as being dehydrated. They gave her fluids and sent her home (NO COVID TEST GIVEN). On Friday, May 28th my daughter went back to FirstHealth with same symptoms from Monday. She waited 5 hours before leaving without being seen. Saturday Morning, I go to take her to ER, but instead call 911 to possibly by pass some of the wait at a different hospital to have her diagnosed with Covid because they tested her. She also has Pneumonia and currently receiving oxygen because even I not being a doctor knew something was off with her breathing.

I have been going to First Health of the Carolinas for 3 years now and the service has gotten worse not better! I refuse to go there, and would rather drive to Cape Fear Valley for better care! I went to the Emergency room at First Health in Raeford NC February after my father past away with severe stomach pains, and was told I had a hole in my stomach.
I was sent in an Ambulance an hour away to First Health in Pinehurst for Emergency Surgery. They did nothing but charge me almost 3,000.00 after 5 days I signed myself out and drove to UNC who had me on an operating table 2 hours latter! The Surgery was almost 60,000, and insurance paid more than half of that (I was billed 50.00). I tried to negotiate with First health stating they did nothing and charged me 3,000.00 then before they sent me a letter in the mail saying they would not help me they split the bill up to different Creditors who went after me and put it on my credit report! I have now cleared that up at additional cost to myself - Never do business with LAST HEALTH they CARE NOT FOR YOU ONLY YOUR CASH!

I went to First Health today because I called my surgeon's office and they said that since I am having pain in my chest and tingling and numbness in my arm that I should go in, I had surgery last month for two herniated discs and fusion. I went in at around 11, it was already almost 2 and all they did was the EKG test, the more I sat there the more my spine was hurting in the Emergency Room, tears were running down my face.
I was there for almost three hours and when I explained to the front desk that I was in alot of pain, they did not care, I guess spinal surgery is not serious to them. They had no sympathy for what I was going through. Finally my daughter who was there with me comforting me said, mom let's just go. I sat outside the Emergency Room crying from the pain, if I can help it I will not go back.
I guess if you are not having a heart attack or covid, they can care less. I called them because my surgeon's assistant said that it can be serious if I have blood clot going on. I called an hour ago to tell them what my Surgeon's office said, I was supposed to get a call from the on-call doctor, Dr. Frazier. Never received a call. I will be filing a complaint.

My daughter is a young adult. Seen in the ER on her own. Diagnosed with a issue requiring surgery. Released with 4 pain pills. Not given assistance to stabilize her foot after they discharged her. They didn't help her with discharge and she had to walk herself out on one leg without assistance. I wonder if she was white would her treatment had been preferable. So, when she runs out of pain meds until her appointment next week she will have to incur another ER visit for medication to help assist.

I went into the ER with pain and swelling under the right side of my rib cage. The doctor that finally came into the room asked just a couple of questions lifted my shirt and glanced at my ribs, said she was going to look at my x-rays and return shortly. 3hrs later the nurse comes back to discharge me saying I have a rib injury. 1 I didn't injure myself and told them that repeatedly. 2 what they are calling a "rib injury" is a small deformity of my ribs I've had since birth. I think I'm going to get a second opinion, then consult a lawyer.

We are from out of town and came here for care for my grandfather on the way home. Every single person was kind, attentive and more importantly thorough every step of the way. As someone who works in healthcare I strive to make my patients feel the way everyone here did and treat everyone with the care and compassion they had for my family. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!

The ER had me in, triaged, and treated all within 30 minutes. Staff, nurse, and doctor were all kind and attentive. I told the Doc I'd been through this before and knew how to handle it in regards to myself, he listened, added his professional opinion and had me good to go. One of the best, if not the best, hospital experiences I've ever had.
