I wish I could give Zero stars.they injected me with a cortisone shot that didn't help and didn't need.they told me that my custom insoles will be $300 and I paid the $300.when I came back I was told that it was just a deposit.also my Achilles is still hurting for the last 2 months.so I lost $300 plus they charged my insurance.in return I got no insoles and my feet are still in pain.so now have to find another podiatrist.

I have been a patient of Dr. Mermelstein's at Astoria Foot Care Group for over 20 years, and in all of that time, I have never been dissatisfied with his level of service. From when you first walk in and see the receptionist, up until his treatment of you, everyone on his staff is a complete professional, who handle your problems and concerns with the utmost care.
I had hammer toe surgery there yesterday, and the process couldn't have gone more smoothly. Dr. Mermelstein walked me through the entire process, and he answered all of my questions and concerns with the utmost patience. This is a great, humanitarian, practice. From the start, the receptionist, Georgia, is an extraordinarily personable receptionist; she made me feel, immediately, both welcome and important. DR. The staff is extremely friendly. Dr. Steven examine my foots. He thoroughly examined my foot and offered solutions. He even offers solutions without asking him. He is an extremely kind doctor. He listens to you and answers your questions. I am so glad that I found that place. I have a lot of issues going on with my foot. Dr. Steven will cure them step in step.

They discrimate against poor people. I took my EIGHT YEAR OLD daughter here for an ankle injury and even though they accept her insurance, they didn't treat her. The staff was very rude to me and my daughter and the doctor wasn't helpful. All he told me was to keep her home from school if she was limping and that it might be fractured but he doesn't know and that I had to wait for insurance approval for an x-ray. After a week I called the insurance company who said they already approved the procedure, but when I called the office back, they refused to treat her. Absolutely awful!

Excellent and friendly staff Georgia is very nice in the front desk and was nicely greeted by her, and Dr. Mermeistein is excellent. I went in with more than a problem and excruciating pain, and he was able t o treat my pain and was able to walk out of the office in a normal fashion. I will be going back to him for another problem soon. He is attentive and a wonderful person and answered everything i needed to know. Very happy!
