REFERRALS If your insurance or HMO requires a referral to a specialist, you must bring this with you at the time of service. If another doctor has sent you to us, we will provide a written report to that referring doctor. EMERGENCY CALLS If you have an eye emergency after hours, go to the emergency room at your local hospital, or call our answering service at 925-449-2486.
At Valley EyeCare Center we have always kept your health information secure and confidential. A new law requires us to continue those practices, to give you this notice, and to follow its terms. We may use or disclose your information for treatment, payment and healthcare operations. We may use and disclose medical information to contact and remind you about appointments. If you are not available, we may leave this information on an answering machine or in a message left with the person answering the phone.

I'd almost forgotten what great customer service was like, but this group really understands and practices it! I've been to both locations and the experience is the same - warm, friendly, helpful. I heard the staff, both on the phone and and in-person, help a patient with insurance questions/issues. The staff stayed at it until the patient understood - no matter how long or how many times the same answer was given.
Also with kindness. Dr. Gagnon did my cataract surgery and it was a breeze. Dr. Schrupp is doing my follow-ups, and she's amazing. She told me more about my eyes in 5 minutes then anyone else ever did. And she listened to me. It was an interactive appointment.

Dr Gagnon and the staff at Valley Eye Care Center were professional and very efficient in prepping and performing the cataract surgery. The procedure was quick and painless. A special shout out to nurse Marivic, who was very attentive, friendly and a great listener as that was putting me at ease prior to the surgery.

Dr Anita Ng is so nice. I was late for 10 mins on my appointment and she was willing to wait for me. This is my 3rd visit with her and I have no complain. She was so professional and always make sure everything went well with my cataract surgery and have nothing worry about it. Thanks Dr Ng for taking care of me. Thanks also to front desk staff, they are all so friendly

I really like Valley EyeCare group. I have seen Dr. Gagnon and Dr. Trentacosti several times before. They both are very good doctors, very personable and caring. Dr. Gagnon performed my Lasik surgery a few years ago. The experience was really positive. I experienced very little discomfort during and after surgery. My eyesight correction is working out very well for me. I highly recommend these dedicated doctors.

My experience with Dr. Lee was great! My previous optometrist said I wasn't a good candidate for contacts. He retired, so I tried Valley Eye Care. Had my introductory exam, and mentioned how I missed being able to use contacts. Dr. Lee was very patient with me learning how to put in my new contacts. And she really made me know if I had any issues or concerns she would be there to answer any questions. Now I've got the option to wear glasses or contacts.

I have been a patient of Valley Eye Care Center for years with Dr. Gagnon. He saved by vision by directing me immediately to a retina specialist. I was diagnosed with Macula Degeneration. I highly recommend Valley Eye Care Center for ophthalmology. Dr Gagnon and associates provide the best patient care, which is so much missing in todays healthcare.
This year I decided to utilize the Optometry Department at Valley Eye Care Center. I am pleased to say I am extremely satisfied with this department. A thank you to Dr. Nicole Lee OD who is working so hard to fit me with custom contacts due to my various eye diseases. The staff is wonderful.

I have been a patient at Valley Eye Care for many years. Everyone in the office is caring and professional. Dr. Michael Gagnon is extremely pleasant and knowledgeable. He has added various new machines to do more thorough diagnostic tests on his patients. He is very compassionate with his patients. I highly recommend this office.

Dr. Shrupp is really excellent! She takes her time with you and answers all your questions. She looks at your whole health and how that relates to your eyes. The front desk people are friendly and knowledgeable regarding insurance, too! The optical department is top notch - Kelley is fantastic! She really helped me figure it all out. All in all a good experience every time I've gone to the pleasanton office.

Just had my second cataract eye surgery both by Ophthalmologist, Dr. Michael Gagnon, Valley Eye Care Center in Pleasanton. Cannot say enough great things about this man. Wheeled out of Pre-Op at 11:40am. In. Post-Op at 12:10pm. Went from "Double Vision" by Foreigner to Johnny Nash "I Can See Clearly Now" "Eye" highly recommend Dr. Michael Gagnon. Five stars! Had a 10:30 appt. at 10:55 went back for prelim exam and to get eyes dilated. At 11:25, back to the exam room until Dr. came in at 11:50. 10 minutes later I'm outta there. IMHO, no respect for their patients. Been going there for a long time, this was the first time this happened. May need to look for an new Dr.
