Avoid at all costs. They have a new billing company (Prism) and they are a true nightmare to deal with. No one returns your call and you are left to pay for charges that don't even make sense on your bill. I was forced to pay for contact lense fitting when I didn't even get contact lenses. Main office rarely answers the phone and no one returns calls. Sad what this practice has become since owners left.

Dr. Matossian retired and I am extremely disappointed with the replacement I saw today: Dr. Lesniak. I have never in my life had a doctor ignore my concerns and not include me in a discussion of the treatment plan. His examination was not as thorough and less testing was done than should have been. He was condescending, dismissive, and rude. When I asked questions he gave uninformed medical advice.
I knew better from prior discussions with Dr. Matossian. I'm on the hunt for a new practice and doctor. I feel like I wasted my time and co pay today. Edit: I was unhappy with my treatment but before I went to bed last night I examined my eye and he damaged the tissue. This morning it is thankfully healing but I will not risk seeing him again.

Stay away! Had cataract surgery and now I cannot see. I now need glasses for both close up and driving. Spent $3000 on implants. I understood I would need reading glasses but distance? Not one word was communicated to me this was a possibility. I should have been told. The worst part? The office! No one calls you back. Not Nicole, the office manager, not Heather the surgical coordinator. Even after multiple messages.

Matossian Eye Associates is a well oiled operation with an association with Wills Eye for their operating facilities. Matossian staff are trained well, friendly and care about your eyes with competent knowledge and follow through for every step of the way. They treat you like a real person. Dr. Lesniak was my physician, a real pro who also has a background in research on eyes. Yes, A real pro.
This operation is also known for their other experienced physicians, and key support staff. I had cataract surgery, lens implant and other minor work on my left eye. I have 20/20 in both eyes now! I couldn't be more satisfied. I also run a large medical facility so I understand the staffing challenges during our great Resignation! Matossian provided care and support at every turn! A+ operation!

I had cataract surgery done by Dr, Lesinak. He was great. The staff on the other hand leaves a lot to be desired. They would schedule appointments for me and when I arrived I didn't have any. Another visit I waited 2 1/2 hour to be seen. The surgical coordinator I dealt with would make an appt. for me to come in and do paper work before my next cataract surgery then not show up and no one in the office knew why I was there? Two times she explained her daughter needed her! What? Then stay home with your daughter and don't work! I am tired of this nonsense. Decided to go elsewhere

Today, after arriving 15 minutes early, at 10:35 for my 10:50 appointment. I was told to go sit out by the elevators because their waiting room was at maximum capacity. After 40 minutes, at 11:15, they told me I could come into the waiting room. While sitting there, I spoke to others who told me they had been sitting there for 90 minutes. Another person told me me it has been like this the past 2 years, at least.
They said it would do no good to contact the owner, that they wouldn't care because they have so many patients. I sat there another 50 minutes. At 12:05, I decided to leave. I asked for my money back. I told the staffer this was no way to treat people, especially with so many elderly in the waiting room. I think more people should do this. I am now looking for another doctor.

I have been going to Matossian Eye for 40 years, and think she was good. She hires great doctors, but the technicians have literally NO experience as she pays them NOTHING! I will be going for cataract surgery with Dr. Rosenbaum in the Fall as he did my sisters, which came out GREAT! Literally needs some bedside manner help! He is a little on the arrogant side, but personalities don't change!

I would like to give them a NEGATIVE 10 score. Please if you don't want to be ripped off your precious dollars, Do Not Come To this office. FRONT DESK ARE RUDE! Billing refused to tell you the breakdown of your bill. I never had to pay $300 for and eye exam even if I was a new Patient in other eye offices. The reason I came here is we just moved and this is close to me. I wish I NEVER HAD TO COME IN THIS OFFICE EVER!

Dr. Matossian and her team are excellent. I had a poor experience with another doctor and she was recommended to me. I am so glad I followed through. Her expertise with dry eyes is impressive. She, herself, is warm, very precise and a real professional. I also must compliment those who work with her, from those at the front desk, the person who helped me with my insurance issue, to her assistant for my procedure. I would not go to anyone else.

I had been to a eye surgeon to have cataract surgery done in NJ. It was a disaster, so I had to find a "new" surgeon for the other eye. Dr. Rosenberg was my ophthalmologist when I lived in PA. In fact, I was one of his first patients when he joined the Matossian practice. It was my lucky day. So, I decided to go back to PA, to Dr. Rosenberg knowing it was a long drive, but felt it was well worth it.
He is very, very thorough, answers all your questions and makes you feel at ease. He definitely is 5 star. And Matossian Eye Associates is professional, I never have to wait, and the staff could not be more friendly and courteous.

Now owned by Prism Vision Group. Same great doctors, new higher prices! I've been going here for 2 decades. The doctors and staff are excellent. Unfortunately an eye exam that formerly cost $117 is now $294. My insurance has not changed - this is just the new rate apparently. The billing department is also now through Prism and it takes several days to get through to somebody. Be careful!

Update: Despite their response below, NOBODY from Matossian has reached out to me regarding my review, or more importantly to get additional feedback from me so others are not treated like I was. This just further confirms their incompetence and/or lack of care. Treated very rudely by staff for a mistake their office made in scheduling. Also had major problems with their billing, which they say is not their fault either, since they outsource to another company.
What happened to taking responsibility for mistakes? The closest I got to an apology was, "I'm sorry you feel that way." I had been a Matossian patient for over 15 years and that loyalty was met with extreme rudeness all in front of my kids. There are plenty of other eye care centers in area.time to look elsewhere!

I feel similar to a previous patient comment. The staff were considerate and professional. The doc wouldn't; win a personality contest but seems to be knowledgeable. However, a procedure was performed on me that was explained and seemed to be necessary. No one in the office explained to me that this "necessary" procedure would not be paid by my insurance!
I called my insurance company and they reported that the office never tried to report to them for payment. I am now in the position of having to confront the billing office over an expensive procedure. Needless to say, I am not happy and hesitate to return to Matossian Eye Associates

I've been a patient here for a couple years. The doctors are knowledgeable and friendly, and I've always had a good experience. Unfortunately, it's nearly impossible to get someone on the phone to make an appointment. I've been receiving several calls and emails a week - sometimes multiple times a day - reminding me to schedule an appointment, but when you call the office, no one ever answers.
After leaving about 5 messages over the past several weeks requesting a call back to schedule an appointment, I decided to find a new doctor and made an appointment elsewhere.

Had been a patient for years but need to leave. Doctors are wonderful. However, the ability to get to them and get past the front desk lets you see that the customer service is less than desirable. Also, why do the automated calls continue and tell you to call back to make an appointment. So you call, but no one answers. You try to leave a message but the mailbox is full. Don't worry, the automated call will come the following day!

How this physician ever got a license or became board certified is a mystery beyond explanation.first of all I question Dr, Matossian's ethics and honesty as she will do anything to avoid responsibility for her egregious incompetence.in addition to being incompetent she is, in my opinion, a greedy narcissist who cares little about her patients and is only interested in money. her demeanor is so insincere as to be offensive.after being her patient for several years, and due to her misdiagnosis, I am now blind.stay away at all costs unless you like guide dogs and want one.

I saw Dr Disanti in this practice in July, 2019. She was very professional, very caring, and very thorough. She went to great lengths to describe what was happening with my eyes in a language that I can understand. She never tried to push me into buying anything. Overall, she was an amazing eye doctor. I have seen other doctors in this practice in the past and all of them are very good. The location, inside the Capital Health, is very convenient (close to Rt 95/295) as well.

I've been using Matossian Eye Associates for several years. My DR. Is Doctor Desai. She is intelligent, thorough and accessible. During a yearly exam she detected a problem and immediately referred me to a. Retinol specialist in the practice. Dr. Brader she is also a caring and very careful Physician. I have utmost trust in the entire practice.

On 10/23/18 I had an appointment with Dr. Matossian to evaluate my eyes (after being out of hard contacts for two weeks) and select new lenses prior to cataract surgery. I waited five minutes before Jen brought me back to conduct tests. During testing she answered all my questions. Dr. Matossian reviewed the results, saw that my eyes had not returned to their normal shape then advised two more weeks were needed before lense discussions could take place. I was happy with the Dr.s guidance to wait in order to achieve the best results.

Hands down the finest professional practice that I deal with. In an age where delivery of medical services can feel rushed and impersonal the staff at Matossian in Pennington is always courteous, thorough and human. No question is too small and no test is performed without a full explanation. Special mention must be given to my ophthalmologist Dr. Priya Desai who while extremely busy has the unique ability to freeze time and focus on relevant issues in a kind, authoritative manner that always reassures me that a guide dog will not be in my future. Stellar in every way.
