The research is becoming more clear that exercise during and after cancer treatment saves lives. TSNW takes an active approach to healing by creating community through fitness programs that are healthy, safe, fun and free.

The American Cancer Society (ACS) is a "nationwide community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research, education, advocacy, and service."
TSNW is committed to keeping our members up to date on relevant cancer and fitness-related scientific studies. The American Cancer Society (ACS) publishes the Diet and Physical Activity Guideline to serve as a foundation for its communication, policy, and community strategies and, ultimately, to affect dietary and physical activity patterns among Americans.
