Edit: I filed a complaint with the NC Attorney General about this issue, and included these reviews. I asked that they investigate but was told that unless multiple complaints come in, they would not do that. So anyone that may come back and read this - FILE A COMPLAINT!. I'm shocked to see all the other reviews of this "company" that match my experience exactly.
I had a medical procedure that they participated in in some way? They sent the $24 bill to an address I had not lived at at that time for 5+ years, which of course I never saw. Then they sent it to collections and gave the collections co the same old address. Collections co got no response, so put it on my credit report. A collections account showing up on my credit report and my near-perfect credit score dropping 31 points was the first notice I received that I owed anyone anything.
I have NEVER had a bill go to collections, because I PAY EVERY BILL I RECEIVE. None of the other medical providers that were involved with that procedure sent bills to my old address, so why did this company? I can't even get in contact with anyone to find out how they even GOT my old address rather than the correct one that was on all the paperwork I completed during that time. I agree with others, this is some sort of scam. There's no other explanation.

I have no idea who this company is. Showed up on my credit report a couple years ago as a sold $8 bad debt. I challenged at the time. Received no feedback. Just showed back up on my report. I am fully insured and have not had this type of issue before. No humans would pick up the phone today or 2 years ago

I tried on several occasions to obtain a detailed bill that my cost-sharing program would accept. Initial response was, "we can't provide that." On October 22, I spoke to Michelle who helped me with my request so professionally, and today I received my reimbursement. I'm sorry I didn't get her last name.

I have had the same experience as several others here. I had a procedure and every medical pro involved filed with my insurance and billed the difference to my address. Suddenly I have a collection on my credit which dropped my score 89 points! When I inquired they have a note that I have no insurance and they were mailing bills to an address I moved from over 14 years ago. Further, for the procedure, another group filed insurance for pathology and lab work.
They won't return calls. I have been trying for days. I disputed on my credit and they keep verifying the charge is legit yet no bill! If I owe I'll pay but I want some answers first!

I had never even heard of this company until it showed up on my Credit Karma report as having been sent to collections. NO BILL, NO PHONE CALL, NO TEXT, NO EMAIL.NOTHING. I have no idea what it is even for, so I Googled them, tried to call and tried to contact via their "Contact Us" link. Still nothing. It's like a bad movie. Read the other reviews and BEWARE. Only remedy I currently see is to dispute it via Credit Karma and Transunion. Carolinas Pathology Group is up to no good and apparently no one can stop them.

Same story as everyone else. I made a large payment to Carolinas Pathology in June 2021 and confirmed that it zeroed out my wife's account balance. In August 2021, 4 months after the date of service, and 2 months after I paid the account in full, I received a notice saying we owed another $400 and if it wasn't paid in full within 10 days we'd be referred to a collections agency.
The kicker, that bill was apparently processed by our insurance company in May 3-4 weeks before I called in June to pay the account balance in full. These people are incompetent at best, liars and cheats at worst. Ask your physician who they are sending labs to before they go out and if there is any discretion have them sent somewhere other than Carolinas Pathology. These people are a nightmare.

Received a bill stating my account is 30 days past due that is identical (same account number and balance) as a bill I paid on time last month. Used their automated phone system to check my balance and the system told me I don't have an account on file. Maybe its because I paid the bill. Waiting on a response, hope this doesn't hit my credit report. Will change my review if this is resolved, however, looking at others I'm not alone. Hope this doesn't result in having to get lawyers involved.

I paid a bill that had not been processed through insurance. My bad. The staff was quick to issue me a refund and I had my money back in 3 weeks. I don't think I should have received a bill when my insurance was up to date and in process but they were friendly and helpful through the whole ordeal. Thanks for being prompt and honest.
