**Extremely unprofessional business. Beware.** I had a horrible experience at Ageless with filler. I also had Botox administered and the Dr didn't achieve the results I wanted during the original visit. Dr Schell, who is the primary Dr at Ageless, was who I was originally referred to. When I called to make the appointment I was told she was going to be out of the office for an undisclosed amount of time.
Even the receptionist had no clue when she would be back. She was vague and slightly avoidant about the Drs whereabouts. I was told that her fill-in, Dr Olsson, was "excellent" and that Dr Schell had hand selected him herself. I should've trusted my gut and never gone with an alternative Dr that was not referred to me. The filler was administered very poorly.
I have 2 pea-sized lumps on the upper left side of my lip and they are uneven. The right upper side bubbles out more and is very obvious when wearing lipstick. There is also zero difference in the overall size that I can see in the before and after pics. I had filler administered to soften nasolabial folds and there's no visible difference. I also have a noticeable ridge of filler right next to the deep wrinkle of my right nasolabial fold making it shadow worse than before.
When I came back after two weeks to express my concerns, they showed me before and after pics and I could superimpose the lips on top of each other and they would be exactly the same aside from the unevenness on the one side. I have visible pores on my skin and the after pic they showed me had the pores blurred on the nasolabial folds, which still didn't look much different.
Kind of a coincidence that photo editing blurs pores too. Just saying. Basically, I was blown off and told by the Dr that he put the lumps in my lips on purpose! That it was what he had to do to achieve the look he was going for, which was apparently to make sure I looked the same as when I walked in except with some new expensive lumps inside my top lip and a more uneven shape.
I have called two other local offices and read a lot of Dr responses to similar problems online and lumps and bumps are not ok, or normal! The filler apparently should have been massaged to avoid this issue and it was not. None of my clients who have had filler have had this issue. I am really disappointed to say the least. Dr Olsson was rude, and unprofessional regarding my concerns, and the receptionist, Jennifer, was equally dismissive.
I would never, ever treat a client the way I was treated by these "professionals." I was not even sent home with any aftercare instructions for the nearly $2k I spent here. The poor results I received were not the only issue. The receptionist originally took a discover card number from me to hold the appointment and I was TOLD THEY ACCEPT DISCOVER when I asked.
The had a deal going for reduced Botox pricing when receiving filler. I was told the filler would be Juviderm. The Dr told me he didn't have enough Juviderm for the procedure so he was going to use Restalyn for part of the treatment. Being a first time to filler I just assumed he knew best. I was not told how much was going to be used or the cost of the alternative filler.
Being a first timer and slightly nervous I didn't think to ask, but I'd say it was definitely their responsibility to convey this information to me. While I was numbing for around 15-20 minutes the receptionist had plenty of time to come in and tell me the plan and the cost. To give you an idea of what I was expecting, I was told Juviderm cost $595/syringe and the Botox would be on special at $10/unit.
I was never told how many syringes and assumed it would be 2 since we were doing 2 areas. I figured I'd be spending around $1300. Nope. When I was being checked out my head exploded when she told me the total was $1895! Turns out the Restalyn syringe used was $1000 alone. Then she tries to run my Discover card over and over and it will not go through.
I am told that something "must be wrong with my card." Yeah, there was nothing wrong with my card. She told me 3 days later that they don't even accept Discover! Wow. So incredibly unprofessional. I sent an email the same day of my appointment regarding the billing and how displeased I was and basically was told too bad and that I should've asked how much it would be.
I was then asked if I'd be happy with a $400 credit and I said heck yeah, and was then told over a week later (after being avoided when I asked) that Dr Schell had not approved a credit. I am a self-employed business owner in the beauty industry and you bet I go over pricing with people before I even perform the service, especially with a new client. Again, this was all handled very unprofessionally.
I feel deceived and ripped-off. I've learned a very expensive lesson. Get several referrals prior to having ANYTHING cosmetic done to yourself. The next time I feel even slightly hesitant I will walk, or run away. Don't go here.
