As of today I will be looking for a new pediatrician. They say it takes a village when raising children and today when I needed support and accommodations from my village, the staff here were very unaccommodating, unhelpful and rude. My youngest child had an MRI this morning and I had my oldest child scheduled for his physical at 1:20 for sports. We had planned on taking my oldest to his appt. but had my mom as a back up in case anything went wrong with the morning procedure.
Being autistic and having sensory disorder my youngest had a hard time coming out of anesthesia, so I called the office to inform them that my mom (whom I have signed for her to be able to bring my kids to the pediatricians office, and who use to be an employee of the office) would be bringing my oldest to his appt. The office refused to allow her as they heard my son screaming in the background and as I cried while being kicked, scratched, and bitten by my youngest autistic son.
And stated that I would have to reschedule the appt. I understand policies are in place for the parents to be the ones at the well check visit, however a one time accommodation considering the circumstances would have been appreciated, kind, and the right thing to do. Unless you actually live with and have a child with autism and sensory disorder you truly do not know how difficult life can be.
Whatever happened to human kindness and decency. I was a patient here my whole childhood and chose to bring my kids here for I truly like most of the doctors and NP's. But as of today they have lost my loyalty and service. #spread kindness #spreadlove.

I know parents can be weird about their kids, but I'm not sure what the bad reviews are about here. This place is the most wonderful practice I have ever dealt with. They caught my middle son's inguinal hernia, and the lactation consultant found my newest little guys tongue tie the hospital missed. They are super patient with me as I am a hot freaking mess, they work with me and make sure we get the things we need.
I go in feeling unconfident and unsure, and leave feeling better, and taken care of even though I'm not the patient. The doctors are incredibly nice, and the nursing staff are nice too, and great with the kids.

Unfortunately after almost 2 years we have had our last negative experience. We have been concerned with their diagnosis of issues, lack of support provided over the phone (they will always just tell you to come in and charge $ for after hours support through people out of state), and have lost confidence in the care. After being turned away by Maureen and the nurses for being 10 mins late due to lack of communication about garage construction the only suggestion we got was to come some time later. Unacceptable. We will be switching to a new pediatrician immediately.

I've been going here for years and although I do love it, it seems to be changing as they get new staff. They don't seem as compassionate as the old ones are. Also, one of the NP's got snippy with me when she asked my daughter a question that she didn't know the answer to. I answered for her, then proceeded to get an attitude with me because my daughter didn't answer the question first. If it weren't for Dr. Furby, Dr. Kirwan, the nurses and some of the ladies up front, I would be gone. Teach your new NP's some manners!

My 8 children have been part of this practice for 30+ years. As long as the kids are healthy this has been a good practice. Truly only had one mishap through the years till recently. Last 3 children have been healthy, and I slacked on their physicals. We were dropped from the practice, which was understandable. However, we received no communication telling us that we no longer had a doctor.
We didn't find out until an emergency situation when the doctor's refused treatment and told us to go elsewhere. To me this showed a lack of integrity, trust and what about that hippocratic oath? This instance showed a huge lack of professionalism.

Incompetent billing department made a $4000 error regarding insurance coverage and tried to stick me with the bill! This place cares nothing about the welfare of your children. It's all about the $$$$$, nothing more. They even REFUSED to see my other 2 children for anything and everything. Due to THEIR ERROR. Don't worry they expect all payment in FULL for them to even see you again.
No payment arrangements (which I had offered to start paying on and was turned down.) were even offered or any attempt at a reconciliation. Oh don't worry if there are any billing issues, they come and speak to you with a room full of patients. NICE AND LOUD so they can humiliate you in front of everyone instead of being considerate and politely pulling you aside or waiting until you're in a private room.
The greedy, crooked manager chose the almighty dollar over caring for the needs of the patients. Also a lot of their good doctors are retiring so that leaves me to even question why would I ever go back to this pathetic excuse for a healthcare facility. GOOD RIDDANCE. P.S. I will be escalating this issue with whomever is the operator(s)/proprietor(s) of this office are.

We switched to Eastern Hills Pediatrics after having some issues with another pediatrics group. My daughter had been having problems that were previously dismissed. Eastern Hills, however, took it seriously and thoroughly investigated. After blood work was ordered and run, it was clear my daughter DOES have an issue, and we've been referred to the specialists at Cincinnati Children's.
I'm in tears of thankfulness and appreciation that FINALLY someone "listened". Nancy Brashear never once made us feel rushed, and took lots of time to thoroughly consider the issue at hand. Not to mention - just has an amazing manner with the kiddos. My daughter felt comfortable talking to her about what she was experiencing. On top of just getting good medical care, the front office/desk staff are super helpful.
I only need to ask for things once, and they are "done" - and I can feel confident that it was done right. So far no billing issues, either. Just as smooth as it could possibly be. I'm so glad I listened to the advice of some friends and made the switch to be an Eastern Hills Family!

This is the worst dr office I've been to in my life! And for it to be a pediatrician office is very scary! My child was very sick, they would Not order any tests. They even tried to diagnose something totally different out of left field that had nothing to do with their previous answers over the phone when I was expressing my concerns and explaining my child was not getting better but worse!
To make things worse from jump I asked for a doctors excuse for my sons school from day 1. Their response was "we will provide that the day he returns". I asked for the letter a few days later and they refuse to provide! I will be contacting the Board of Health on this office!

Please, please, please consider Eastern Hills Pediatrics for your little one! Back story: I used a different Pediatrician for my daughter for the two months of her life. I was criticized by this doctor and really felt like I was failing as a Mom. She didn't appreciate that I preferred to pump since my little one wouldnt latch. She also mixed up a food allergy with a skin allergy.
Fast Forward: I met Nancy Brashear with Eastern Hills Pediatrics at a local baby expo. Nancy immediately took me under her wing and reassured me that I was doing great (first time mom) and that my baby was medically perfect! Nancy and the staff gave a wonderful first impression! I called right away to schedule an appointment and was in right away, they now accept most if not all insurance- awesome! It's a little complicated to find (building behind Mercy Anderson, 3rd floor) but once you're inside, you know it's the place you want to treat your child.
Extremely clean and bright, sick vs well areas, tons of educational literature for parents and fun toys for kiddos. The exam rooms have very classy themes and the furniture is top notch. The nurses are all very nice and professional. Appointments are always quick yet thorough. I cannot praise Nancy Brashear enough. She has uplifted me from complete meltdowns in office regarding my baby's health. She's always a phone call away, which I've utilized and she has personally left me voicemails regarding results from important tests. I've also called the nurse hotline a few times and they always call back right away and give me the correct answer for my little one. I've also had Dr. Furby when Nancy wasn't available: he is a very smart, thorough Doctor. Plus, what kid doesn't love getting a sticker at the end of their appointment? They never run out;)

This is the best pediatrician in the area! The doctors and nurses are great with my daughter and very knowledgeable. I have to give a shout out to Miss Chrissy! When my daughter has to get her check ups, Chrissy is the best (even when she has to get shots)! They are located right next to Anderson Mercy Hospital (they actually are connected) and they actually go and see the baby when the baby is born! Also, the lactation consultant that works there is pretty outstanding. The office itself is super clean and new. They have the cutest decor.
