I had sinus surgery and a rhinoplasty after a broken nose with Dr. McNamara in 2014, which I was happy with at the time. In 2018, it felt like a bone fell in on the side of my nose; I went in for an appointment and he said nothing was wrong. I got a second and third opinion this fall and in fact a bone has fallen in and I have to have a revision. I have chosen not to do this with Dr. McNamara and have been trying to get my records from his office for the new doctor since October.
Despite my request that they be sent directly to the new surgeon apparently they were sent to me, without tracking, only last week - and not surprisingly, have not arrived (if they were sent.) I asked the office again to mail or fax them to the new doctor but did not get a reply. My new surgeon also has not received the records despite a request. I went to the office today to try to sort it out (since they are legally obligated to send them w/in 30 days) and he told me he didn't work for me and came at me as if to physically assault me. It was crazy. Avoid. Both for surgical results and attitude. Still shaking.

Worst experience ever. He had little patience and didn't take the time to understand my concern for my 90 year old mother. I would never go to him EVER again. Terrible experience. A waste of time with an arrogant physician. If I could have put zero stars I would have done that. Hi demeanor was that atrocious.

Dr. McNamara returned my call at 10 pm not even having ever heard of me. Saw me the next morning when they opened and had me booked for surgery by 1:30 pm the same day because that was what needed to be done. His support staff, Neil is equally amazing and professional! They both pay attention and really listen. Explain in a manner you will understand and don't sugar coat. They tell it like it is and have you prepared for what may lie ahead. I feel like I won the lottery with the referal I got to Dr. McNamara!

Dr. McNamara is thorough, thoughtful, and really good at what he does. I trust him with my sinuses, nose, and throat, three things that do not seem to like each other. He takes the time to make these visits as comfortable as they can be - and is good about educating patients abut their own options for managing their symptoms. His office manager, Neil, is always helpful and constructive.

I went to Dr. McNamara for a second opinion after I broke my nose, and I was thoroughly impressed. Unfortunately, this wasn't the first time I've broken my nose, so I really do have a basis for comparison here. Dr. McNamara spent a lot of time looking at my nose and taking pictures and talking to me about my desired results. He did a great job on the surgery repairing my nose and spent a lot of time before and after talking to me about specifics and making sure everything was healing properly. I really appreciate his concern for his patients and his willingness to spend time listening to them. Neil, his scheduler, is really great, too.

Dr. McNamara was my second opinion on some issues i was having and going to him thoroughly convinced me that all doctors aren't created equal. The nature of ENT work is such that they have to stick all manner of contraptions into your head. It's never pleasant but he's very concerned for your comfort and makes it as easy as possible. He's very experienced and concerned for your well being and helped me immensely.
