Very impressed with Dr Lichtsinn and Scottsdale Children's Group. after a traumatic experience at a different practice close by I called them office to make a newborn appointment and they were able to see me same day! The office staff is professional and friendly. Dr Lichtsinn listened to all my concerns and made sure I felt heard as an advocate for my child. She treated her patients like people and genuinely cares about them. I am so happy to have found her and this practice!

Have been visiting this location for years with all my kiddos and I have always been treated with respect and everyone is very professional. The wait time is a little long at times especially with a two year old. Also, the sick side is bigger and has more entertainment then the well side which is a bummer.

Dr. Trompeter and her assistant, Katie are true professionals. Dr T. established an immediate rapport with my 11 y/o son and has a wonderful bedside manner and Katie answers calls and follows up quickly. The front office is friendly and helpful and the office space is attractive and bright. Highly recommend Dr. Trompeter, Katie and this practice.

Dr. Garrett has been our pediatrician for 18 years (where did time go?) and for both of our children. We love her and her staff and their approach to healthcare. They take the time to talk about whatever concerns we may have, they don't just shove a prescription at you and shove you out the door. We especially love her NP Marybeth who we see frequently and her MA Vanessa. Anytime I send a message, she gets to back to me within a couple of hours at the most and will bend over backwards to help (even when it isn't necessarily "her job").
We are sad that we will only be able to continue with their practice for another 3 years (when our son turns 18). I could go on and on how they helped two new parents years ago who didn't have any family in the state and were scared over every little thing, to the times they shared our concern or made us laugh about the "normal" (but odd) things our kids have done over the years, but I think you get the message, regardless of if you have a newborn or kids of any age, I would highly recommend Scottsdale Children's Group!

Burke was horrible! She's a cattle doctor who was just getting us in and out in two minutes, literally. Month checkups were the exact same as weight and height checkups. She'd come in and try to quickly leave and I'd have to stop her and tell her he's still screaming from gas. She didn't write anything down so it was "try gas drops". "We did that two appointments ago." "Well, then change your diet.
No dairy, no gassy foods." "That was last appointment". "Well, babies have gas. They have to learn how to get it out." Now my newborn screamed in PAIN like something was attacking him every 5 min. People who saw were concerned and everyone knew this wasn't normal. Burke never believed me and I was sobbing trying to take his pain away. His FIRST day at daycare after me being alone in worry and him in pain for 6 weeks, I pick him up and the lady says "you need to use Dr.
Brown bottles. Your Advent and Tommee Tippee bottles let in too much air and the Tommee flow is too fast as well, even tho it says stage 1. This will solve your issue. I've packed a bottle in your diaper bag for until you get some at the store. Also, he has an umbilical hernia." What?! Already this daycare lady has cared for and, what ended up being, properly diagnosing things my doctor hadn't. THREE DAYS later, he's the happiest baby and has been ever since.
I've left this doctor and gone to North Scottsdale Pediatrics. They were floored Burke didn't say to give him Vitamin D till he's 6 months. All babies need to get some apparently. He interacted and talked with my child. He talked about current development and what is to come until the next appointment. He asked if I had any questions or concerns. I'm so happy that I found a place that truly puts patient first. Oh, and I LOVED the secretary at Scottsdale Childrens that got after me for having a full voicemail box.
Nothing like being a new mom and coming into the office to have a lady berate you for having a full inbox (it was full. Never happens. I knew the phone call was a reminder for an appointment so I wasn't going to call back!) and lecturing me on how my husband needs to answer his phone (he was at work and it was still an unknown number in his phone and they didn't leave a message!).
And then to say my baby isn't covered under insurance, which she eventually found out it was wrong cause they hadn't updated their information. No sorry, just "have a seat". Please, for your baby's well-being, if you go anywhere and experience these sort of issues, RUN.
