My primary referred me here back in December for a long standing kidney issue. I was able to get someone on the phone to make the appointment, but they aren't seeing patients in the office, so it was a video call. The day of the appointment, no one called. I called their office over and over until they finally shut the phones off for the end of the day.

I left messages stating that no one ever contacted me for my appointment. No one returned my call. Then randomly a few days later, they called and were like "can you do your appointment now?" The dr spent about 3 minutes with me and said he'd order blood work and a urine collection, but I was never given any information on either. I have been trying to contact them for the past THREE MONTHS, and I can NEVER get anyone on the phone.

I've left messages after messages, and no one calls back. They even have a message stating NOT to show up to their office unannounced, which I'm assuming is due to people popping in because they can't get anyone to answer the phones. My primary finally just sent a referral to another place. Here's to starting over!

I'm an ICU RN with over 10 years of experience. Despite the positive reviews of this practice, I would like to contribute my professional opinion regarding this unprofessional and uncaring practice. One of the Nephrologists declined to see me and review my case despite 2 Primary Care Physician and 2 Urology recommendations for a Nephrology consultation.

According to the Dr. "I don't need to see you because your labs are normal." What happened to patient focused and centered care? Why wouldn't they treat me based upon my extensive symptoms? I was appalled at the lack of compassion and consideration exhibited by this Nephrologist. An entire range of systemic physiological diseases involve the kidneys. my guess is that this so called practice is a dialysis mill only interested in treating dialysis patients for the extensive monetary reimbursement. Shame on them for unprofessional conduct and complete lack of consideration.

My wife is diagnosed with Lupus Nephritis and her provider referred to this group. It is so lucky for us that we met Dr. Lai. He is very informative ans super helpful. When my wife is hospitalized, he even goes above and beyond, making phone calls to discuss with other doctors at the hospital about my wife conditions, her test results and making sure she gets the best and correct treatment for her sickness.

I also wanted to mention that if you want to communicate with your doctor then Patient Portal is the best tool for you. Whenever I leave a message for Dr. Lai on Patien Portal, he always reply the same day. We definitely trust Dr. Lai with all our heart and I knows that my wife is in good hands.

Dr cook carefully explained my unfortunate situation and is helping me to delay or even thwart the progression of my chronic kidney disease brought on by another medical condition. the web portal they provide is easy to use. even fir me. A person who forgets log in details almost as often as I change my socks.

Have known of my kidney disease since 1977. I have been a patient all these years. All the doctors and nurses I cannot say enough good things about. When my kidneys failed in 2001 everyone was so helpful. Always discussed things with me, instead of telling me. Have always felt extremly safe safe and taken care of.

I read the reviews on here and am absolutely flabbergasted by some of the bad reviews? I have been using PPN since 2005 when Dr Malory literally saved my life with a diagnosis of a super rare disease. The PPN team was nothing short of amazing in their diligence and treatment to make sure I not only lived, but recovered better than anyone of the nurses or other doctors told me I would get to.

Since my release from the hospital in 2005 Dr Fox has been nothing short of amazing! He and his team worked diligently to get me off of dialysis and were successful after 6 months where I was able to live a relatively normal life until my transplant in late 2020. I can tell you that I NEVER heard anything but praise for Dr Fox and that he is held in high regard by all the transplant doctors in Denver.

They also have worked with me as my employer has switched insurances, making sure I got the care I needed. I would recommend PPN to anyone who needs kidney care. And to all these people who are complaining about not being able to talk to a doctor or get an appointment in a reasonable amount of time: is this your first time having to deal with a kidney specialist?

Or any specialist for that matter? Because they are all booked out months and months in advance. Now I realize you probably think that you are much more important then the other patients who have scheduled before you and that you deserve to be put in front of them in line. But you are not. And I have quite a bit of experience with dealing with dialysis centers and they are as busy as the specialists and control everything. Getting a chair can take some time.

So blaming the doctor is barking up the wrong tree. And I can tell you from experience, if you talk to the front desk and let him know it is an urgent issue or an emergency they will make sure you talk to someone in a very short time. I would give Pikes Peak Nephrology 10 stars if Google would let me!

I have been with this nephrology group for over 20 years. They have always been very informative with any questions/concerns that I may have. I have an inherited kidney disease so when my kidneys went that was it. There nothing I could do to prolong the inevitable. Reading some of the negative reviews I have never had issues with getting return calls quickly.

If these people would take some responsibility for their health plus discussing options with their Dr life would be better. They are participating instead of waiting for the Dr to read their minds.

My father and I had a great experience with this Nephrology team and I can't thank them enough. He was a very sick man with really bad kidney disease. A number of the doctors spent time with us in his final hours to make him as comfortable as possible. We decided not to go through with dialysis and this was the right decision. They were kind and really helpful.

I switched nephrologists from Summit Medical to these guys. It's pretty much impossible to get through to an open line. Messages left are often returned by end of next day, so don't count on any urgency. I read the previous review, and as far as 'arrogance', I can tell you it's not from being the best doctors in Colorado. They certainly don't know how to handle a patient who wants to get healthy, off dialysis, recouperate my kidney function and has a strong will and arrogance of his own.

I was told by a DR there that I couldn't reverse diabetes, which unbeknownst to him I had already done. There is ZERO encouragement or motivation to the patient to push and get better. I e seen obese, elderly folks in the dialysis cc enter next door eating giant smothered burritos, drinking cans of diet soda. all while hooked up, being dialyzed and dreaming of a transplant someday.

Can you imagine? I've started labeling this office "Pikes Peak Necrology" because their business is clearly death. a slow one, but they're determined to kill you. As the previous gentleman said, choices in Colorado Springs are limited.
