I had a great experience with Optum. My appointment was for late afternoon and right on time, no wait. Everyone I encountered, from the receptionist to the X-ray tech were wonderful. Michele Wolf was so compassionate and caring. I was in and out of the building in less than an hour, including X-rays! I had to call the office after a problem at the pharmacy and was treated very kindly, and they went above and beyond to resolve my problem. I would recommend this office to family and friends.

The WORST medical clinic that I've ever encountered. I relocated from TX and had to quickly find a new PCP because of a chronic illness. Every time that I needed to see the doctor I had to guide her on my care and treatment. When I needed refills that my love depends on, I'd call them in just to wait several days before they were actually called in to the pharmacy.
The PCP abruptly left this clinic and I wasn't notified. I was told that I could continue to see an NP that I'd seen a few times. I called in a prescription last week, just to be told that I need to establish with a new PCP before I could receive my medication. I have a new patient appointment with a new provider at a new practice but they couldn't get me in until June. Please stay away from this place if you are seeking sound, competent medical care.

Optum gives the medical industry a black eye. As a patient, I have dealt with so many incompetent and uncaring people. Scheduling is always a real pain and the online follow my health account they suggest you set up to view your medical records is a total joke. Today was the last straw. I went to schedule my yearly physical and was told they couldn't schedule my physical that far out. After three calls and being lied to by 2 different people, the reason I couldn't schedule my appointment was due to the doctor leaving Optum next month. BIG SURPRISE!

Summary: questionable billing practices, dismissive of patient concerns, consistently behind schedule, 45 min plus waiting times, difficult to resolve billing concerns. In Jan. 2022 I was seen on two dates of service, one for an annual exam and another for a well women exam. I confirmed the provider was still in network with my insurance and that my benefits would cover these services.
I also confirmed with the doctor's office their lab was in network. During my annual exam the doctor asked me if I had any additional concerns. It was my understanding this question was good clinical practice and a part of my exam. I mentioned a couple concerns. The doctor was dismissive in nature, stating these concerns were due to age. We did not discuss further.
I finished the visit, headed to the lab, confirmed network status again. A few weeks later I began receiving bills in the mail for services that should have been covered at 100%. What I have learned: If you answer the question "do you have any health concerns" any way other than no, you will be billed for an additional office visit, which is not considered preventative.
I am paying for an "office visit" where the doctor mocked my concerns as nothing more than age (apparently 30 is old). This is why people do not speak up until minor issues become major. The lab they utilized was out of network despite confirming multiple times they were in network, and my well woman exam was coded incorrectly, with a primary code that has NOTHING to do with a pap smear and had NOTHING to do with my visit. Additionally, the office notes apparently state I was counseled for medication I was never counseled for or prescribed.
Yet despite these discrepancies no one is willing to admit an error was made and resubmit the claims accurately. I have spoken with billing, the office, supervisors. I have requested a patient advocate call, still waiting to hear back. I have spent weeks trying to correct issues and no one seems to be able to help. The only answer I continue to get is that I am responsible for the bill, a bill for services that should have been preventative, a bill for services, some of which, I DID NOT RECEIVE.

To be honest I really don't know what's happened to this office in the last few years other than Dr Wallace I hate calling this office are used to be able to get an easy are used to have questions for my doctor and get them answered the front desk used to be nice and respectful. Now when I need to book an appointment it's for months in advance or if I need help with my doctor they are nowhere to be found I have to wait days before being contacted back they referred me to specialty And there's absolutely no follow up. I've went to two general doctors there and even the OB/GYN department has completely went downhill

This medical team is about as incompetent and narcissistic as I've seen. They say they won't treat me, yet when I come in to see my Dr, she's out of the office. So I reschedule I have my appointment and I've been on a medication with this group for 10 years, and two different nurses decide they're going to cut me off in 14 days. Who's in charge? The nurses or Dr's.?

Whoever handles the calls for the OBG/YN do not know how to communicate with the doctors. I had set up an appointment to get my birth control arm implant out. And I go to my usual doctor office to find out they had sent me to another office; which they did not tell me from the jump. I get a call saying how they had to reschedule and I told them again it was an arm implant. However, it wasn't enough from them to waste my time once, but twice because I get to the other office to find out they told them it was an IUD.
And that office doesn't take out birth control arm implants. They tried to send me to the same doctor who doesn't take implants out, and say she's my primary care doctor; which she isn't. Then I found out I have to get a referral from my insurance to get my implant out. But, i wasn't told about doing this while i was setting up my appointment in the first place. Even though, they've taken it out before and replaced it. I don't blame the doctors or those who work at the offices, just the call center.

Aimee Johnson-Wirt is the best Pediatrician we have had for our boys. Always straight to the point. Very knowledgeable; and cares about her job. Knows what she's talking about every time we have a visit. I love it! Front staff in Pediatrics is always helpful and she is very patient and professional. I never feel rushed. I appreciate the great Customer care Optum has to offer for my kiddos! Thank you

Terrible communication and I can never get ahold of someone to discuss results. Had to go back four separate times because miscommunication of what blood tests needed to be drawn -- the fourth time was a miscommunication, as I got a call saying I needed to come in but they actually had everything. They called me saying I needed to come in and never called back saying I actually didn't.
Have only seen an actual physician one or two times in 7+ years (!) as they are always rescheduling or busy. Usually see PAs or NPs other times, which is fine but I would prefer to at least see the same person for primary care! Due to insurance reasons I can't change my primary care until next year but I will do so. DON'T GO HERE!

Upon trying to get my sons shot records, not only did I wait on hold for a good 30 minutes, when Eva in pediatrics answered she was absolutely rude. She acted like I was supposed to know that my child's immunization records could not be uploaded to the portal. At the end of the conversation I did not even get the word have out before she rudely hung up on me.
Why are you working in pediatrics of all areas if you can't be nice? You should definitely look into Miss Eva's attitude because it is not acceptable. My son has been at this clinic since birth and never have I had such a nasty experience. Get her OUT.

Since day one when Optum took over Davita we saw a change in the attitude with many of the medical staff. Or Primary Care Physician continues to be awesome but the rest of the staff across their offices changed for the worse. Get notices for appointments after the fact. Notices we missed appointments we were never told about it that they couldn't reach us when our cell phones are listed! Staff members have decreased, wonder why?! So to get in takes 6 months or better. It like dealing with the VA!

I have never seen a more irresponsible doctor's office. I called in a prescription refill through the pharmacy on Monday. Despite two written reminders to the doctor through the web portal, and a phonecall to the nurse practitioner, they have still not done the refill authorization, and what more, they have already taken off for the weekend by noon on a Friday.
I am now left in an emergency over the entire weekend where I do not have the medication, which is a daily prescription. It seems their weekend is more important to them over their patient's life.

Always late with appointments. I've never had an appointment here be on time. I'm currently sitting waiting for the doctor for 50 minutes as I write this. So frustrated with the way medical facilities treat patients. Doctors seem okay, but since the switch to DaVita everything has gotten worse and I've been having to find new doctors because they are all leaving the group.
