Along the way we'll help you develop a better understanding of your own body, and ways to improve functionality for life. Osteopathic manipulative treatment - the hallmark of osteopathic medicine, which emphasizes hands-on care by the physician to diagnose, treat, and prevent illness and injury. Somatic re-education - a mind-body approach that targets the way the brain senses and organizes muscles and movement. This technique can help develop renewed control of muscles as well as improved muscle function and enhanced sensory awareness.
Your initial visit will be 90 minutes, which includes 40-60 minutes with Dr. Haggquist. He'll review your medical history, conduct a comprehensive physical exam, discuss your goals and priorities and create a personalized treatment plan. The rest of your first appointment will be spent with one of our highly skilled therapists getting started on treatment.

QuistMD is the best. As a former college and pro athlete, I endured my fair share of sport injuries. What would take other trainers months to heal, QuistMD was always able to swiftly identify the injury and rehabilitate it in half the time. Using them was like magic compared to other services. 5 starts!

QuistMD eased my migraines by relaxing my migraine-related muscles and teaching me to strengthen and use my core instead of my upper body when I bike and do other activities. They're saving me a hip replacement by properly diagnosing hip pain. They're keeping me from injury, so that I can enjoy all my favorite activities - biking, hiking, swimming, skiing, and more.

I first saw Dr Haggquist while rehabbing my shoulder. I had such great success that I went back after having 3 vertebrae fused in my neck. He helped me increase my range of motion from 15 degrees to as much as 60 degrees. He truly cares about his patients and strives to help resolves my issues in anyway possible.

Unquestionably, the best in the field and a few notches above all the other PT / Sports Medicine specialists, by whom I have been treated before (and I must say all of them are very good) in the region. Their diagnosis make perfect sense and their suggested treatments are spot on. I am extremely happy as I finally feel I will be ok after battling with few nagging injuries (jumper knee and golf elbow) and post-surgery rehabilitation (rotator cuff) for the past few years.

My evaluation and treatment has been the most thorough I received in over a 2 year struggle with sciatica. The commitment of the practice to get to the bottom of my problem, communicate with the other doctors involved and include me. Outstanding PT has reengaged me in stretching and strengthening, always stopping when in pain and teaching me to find my way out of pain right then and there. Bravo Quist MD!

I'm a huge fan of Dr. Haggquist. I saw him several times a few years ago and just came back today (the hiatus was due to my own reasons). He had clearly taken time to read over all his notes so we could pick up basically where we left off. I was quite impressed. Throughout every visit, he listens closely and explains thoroughly. I particularly like his attitude -- he comes across as super nerdy and not at all arrogant, like he gets to geek out about musculoskeletal issues all day and loves his life because of it.
He always brings an assistant with him for the visit, which has two positive effects (1) the assistant takes thorough notes throughout while he gives you his full attention; and (2) as a young woman, I can feel comfortable letting him do all the physical assessments and interventions with impunity. (And, for the record, he's clearly in it for the muscle tightness).
He finds problematic muscles quite quickly. Dr. H is clearly very knowledgeable about musculoskeletal issues. Our first visit, he gave me a diagnosis I'd gotten before from a rheumatologist but nobody else (after several doctors). The dx completely explained the overall trend of my issues, and Dr. H explained it to me much better than the previous doctor had. I've been going to him for back pain.
In the first two or so visits, he gave me special kind of stretches to do. I've been doing them for over a year and experienced great improvement. He's also adjusted the course of treatment because he knows my terrible insurance doesn't cover the visits. Yes, it's expensive, but it's also clear where the money goes: A large office, lots of necessary equipment, a personal assistant, etc. TDLR: Earnest attentive doctor who knows his musculoskeletal stuff. Expensive. Worth it.

I was referred to Dr. Haggquist by my mother who went to him for neck pain. She went a few times and then started doing the stretches they taught her at home. I had some minor aches and pains - my wrist from typing all day, and my knees from martial arts - but no real injuries. My first visit was a two hour session with Dr. H himself (I think subsequent visits are usually held with physical therapists, once they know what you need).
He identified a couple of problems with my posture and suggested I start lifting heavier weights (squatting, etc.). We spent a while doing stretches and going over proper technique for basic lifts. My only complaint is that it's kind of expensive, so talk to your insurance company before visiting. Besides that, I definitely recommend Quist.
