Overall I have had an okay experience. For the most part they seem caring. A couple complaints would be incorrect medical advice. I think they need to be a little careful advising in certain areas where they don't specialize. One example is that he said my 2 year old absolutely does not need a tongue tie surgery, even though he had a severe speech delay.
He referred me to ENT but assures me specialist would agree. Go to specialist and he says it is within medically necessary to have it because he does not have full range of motion, which is needed to make certain sounds. Also, the same kid receives OT and ST. His therapists and I feel it's time to move forward with further evaluation to see if he needs any kind of diagnosis. Took him in for 2.5 visit and she obviously has him pegged as autistic. Kept talking about getting him an autism diagnosis.his therapists and I hold out hope that he doesn't because he's making tons of progress and he shows signs of understanding emotional cues and things like that.
Maybe they should just put in the referral and let the specialists do their job. Also, the last time we were there the nurse was pretty rude. Kept saying we somehow missed my daughter's 1 year checkup. Said it over and over. We did not miss it. I was very aware she turned 1. However, we have 4 kids. My 6 year olds birthday is less that a month after then shortly after that my other boy needed his 2.5 checkup so we waited just a little bit so I wouldn't have to constantly be going to appointments, with us already having therapy appointments 2 days a week and my son not doing well with mixed up schedules. She's a healthy girl and is progressing along nicely.

Both my girls see Dr. Aneel Gursahaney at the Pediatric Center. I find that he provides them with excellent general health oversight. He is quite professional, thorough, level headed and provides supplemental, bigger picture feedback. I find his accompanying nurse to be pleasant, professional and detailed. The front desk staff is also very nice. It can often be a stressful job for them but they most always friendly and helpful. I've seen some of the other doctors within this practice but, for me, Dr. Gursahaney is the best.

We've been seeing Dr. Tanney for eleven years now. She is a wonderful doctor, my boys love seeing her. She always correctly diagnoses us, and remembers every detail about their history. Peggy, her nurse, and all of the doctors are lovely. When we can't see Dr. Tanney we often see Renee, the nurse practitioner, and she's great too. I would definitely recommend this practice.

The two stars reflects the office staff, not the doctors, who we've liked. The office staff, however, is not at all helpful, and has rigid policies that are an impediment. Our daughter has a prescription due to illness diagnosed there that needs to be administered four times a day. We didn't realize at her doctor appointment that we needed a form for daycare to administer this prescription.
When I stopped at the office to have this form filled out so that my daughter could receive her prescription, they told me there is a 24 to 48 hour wait time for such a form. That means my daughter will not receive her medication at day care For up to two full days. That is unacceptable.

I usually love my experience there, but am really considering changing. I called to make a non-urgent appointment for my son. And they told me I basically had to take an earlier appointment today because of their policy vs. a later one that would work better for my family's schedule. I think I need to find a pediatrician practice that is more supportive of working with me vs. forcing me to do what is more profitable for them.
Literally the excuse used was that they have to pay their nurses and need to fill early spots so they don't sit around with nothing to do. Following up on this - I talked to the doctor who is going to check into the policy. However, if this happens again I am going to look into a new one. I need a practice who works with me, not burdens me with their staffing issues.

Dr. Sarko is great! Both of my children were his patients while we lived in Boulder, and I'm struggling to find someone that i like as much now that we've moved. Sarko is very thorough, great with annoying parent q&a, and respectful of different parenting techniques. The office has a sick + well side, and is a very kid friendly atmosphere. Times i called with concerns i actually recieved helpful callbacks from an available Doctor. I'd highly recommend this practice! And i miss you guys.

We see Dr. Mahnke and Dr. Tanney who are both fabulous! We came to The Pediatric Center after we felt that our concerns weren't listened to at a different practice. I'm so happy we came to Dr. Mahnke & Tanney. They listen to all of our 1st time parents concerns, are open minded with our parenting choices, and are truly caring with our child.
