Doctor's comment was "Everyone has Covid" with less than 30 seconds of inquiry. He offered experimental treatment drugs but couldn't tell me side effects. I was certain he did not accurately assess my condition. Luckily, I was able see an ENT the next day where I was diagnosed and treated for strep throat. I'll never go back or recommend Acadiana Urgent Care.

I called repeatedly this morning. Their phone message said nothing of opening late today. When I found out they opened at 2:00 pm today, I took my daughter. They said they were already at capacity. When I asked if I could wait, they said they had enough patients to be with patients beyond their closing time. There were 6 other cars besides mine in the parking lot.
When getting in my car, another person went in and came out with a clipboard. I went back and asked why they were able to see her. They said she was already checked in. My family has been going there for YEARS. That is not the way it works. When you check in, they give you that clipboard. They then came up with all kinds of others reasons. They said if a person is actively bleeding, they move up the list. What?
First of all, what list? They were supposedly at capacity. Secondly, the person was not bleeding. She walked right past me, and she went back to her empty car. She was alone. It was a ghost town inside. No one in the waiting room. No one coming out. Inefficient and don't care. They said I could bring my sick child back at 8:00 a.m. No thanks. We won't be back. They obviously have no regard for their regular patients.

Thank You for the deep sigh of disgust when I approached the receptionist window, only to trudge off to the back to ask the doctor if they will see you, to return with the same dismal annoyed look to tell me " we're not doing sutures today. we won't be taking you" It's all good, we found a much more pleasant urgent care, with EXCELLENT customer service. Merry Christmas to yall. I hope your holiday went so much better than the way you treated me. (note: not one person in the waiting room)

I went to urgent care because I was experiencing Covid symptoms. I tested negative yesterday (rapid and PCR) but today I was feeling worse. My chief complaint was coughing that was causing me chest pain. Once the doctor found out I was unvaccinated I was treated completely differently and was basically told to leave. He asked why I didn't want the vaccine and while I have several reasons, I told him my main concern is there are no long term studies on the effects of fertility.
I was then given a speech that if the vaccine didn't cause me to be infertile, that I'll become infertile when I get Covid. I was given antibiotics and nothing for my cough. This was my first and last visit at this urgent care. I came to get medical help, not to receive a speech regarding my personal health, worries, and beliefs. ***edit. I had worsening symptoms 2 days later.
I called the urgent care and there were different doctors working. They sincerely apologized for what happened with the first provider. At my second visit, I saw one of the doctors that own the urgent care. I was extremely satisfied. She was very thorough, listened to all my concerns, and answered any questions I had. My first visit is still 1/5 stars, but my second visit is 5/5.

Terrible experience. Dr. Rick Matis was very rude especially when I told him I didn't feel comfortable taking a medicine he suggested. He became irritated and raised his voice. He also made me feel like he knew my body better than I do. Seems like he doesn't enjoy his job or helping people. He was very annoyed even before we started talking. I felt very disrespected and I will not be returning to this clinic.

The front staff are nice but the doctor I talked to was very rude! I was talking to the nurse about my situation when the doctor walked in without introducing him self and started barking orders. Would not release me to work without a test or papers from the place that tested me 10 days prior. When I offered to get the paperwork for my positive test he turned that down after just saying he would need that to release me. Seems like he was just trying to be a jerk or get extra $ for a test I did not need.
