I shattered my ankle severely in August 2017 and was told by the emergency room to see an orthopedic foot and ankle specialist immediately. Premier seemed to be the largest orthopedic practice in the area and was covered by my insurance company so i called them ASAP and was told that the earliest appointment they had was with a new specialist in foot and ankle problems and that he could see me the next day.
The doctor was Dr. Monoco. I saw the doctor the next day who told me I had a very severe break which would require surgery and would take a year to mend. This of course was very upsetting. A date for surgery was made for less than a week away. There were many preparations i had to make before the surgery. These included a CT-scan, an x-ray, bloodwork, copies of the ER report, an appointment with my PCP to get a clearance for surgery, and anoter appointment with Dr. Monoco.
The surgery was set for the following Tuesday. The Thursday evening before the surgery i received a telephone call from Dr. Monoco himself. He told me that he would not be able to do my surgery because his credentials had not yet been accepted by Chester County Hospital. There was no future date that the surgery could be done given. He gave me the name of another orthopedic doctor who did not work for Premier Orthopedics.
The phone number he gave me for this alternate doctor was the switchboard for Chester County Hospital who did not know who this doctor was. As I write this review, I cannot walk, cook, or leave my house without help. I do not have any date set for my surgery. This is the most unprofessional medical situation I have ever had to deal with. I would not recommend Premier Orthopedics to ANYONE.
