When I was originally recommended to see Dr. Thomas my bp was constantly in the 180s. After seeing Dr. Thomas and using the new medication, my bp was under 140. The family Dr. was doing his best but couldn't get it under control. Dr. Thomas had a solution and solved my problem very professionally. When my wife was having problems with her bp, I recommended Dr. Thomas. Her bp is under control. A visit with Dr. Thomas is a visit with a friend.

My husband has been very sick, there have been many phone calls between us. The Doctor and staff have been very patient with all the follow ups and very concerned about his health. I am a Renal and Transplant Nurse Educator and I know nearly every nephrologist in the Cincinnati area and KHC is the best, this is why my husband gets care here. My experience at the Kidney and Hypertension Center at Christ Hospital has been nothing but outstanding. A little over seven years ago, I was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease Stage 3 right after I retired from my 30 year teaching career. My disease is hereditary with high uric acid levels that cause stones. I thought I was given a death sentence and would not be able to enjoy my retirement.

It was then, that I was referred to Dr. John Hergenrother, nephrologist. Dr. Hergenrother and his staff are so understanding and compassionate. Dr. Hergenrother made me feel at ease. He has explained in detail my diagnosis, reviewed my bloodwork with me and given me plans of action in order to keep my disease stable. With modifications to diet, exercise and medication, I don't feel as anxious and that I can enjoy the rest of my life. I highly recommend Dr. Hergenrother and staff at the Christ Hospital Kidney and Hypertension Center.

Dr. Motz is a phenomenal doctor. He is very thorough. Listens to concerns and really explains everything. I am lucky to have found him! The staff is amazing as well. Up beat and positive.

The providers and administrative staff here are amazing they have always taking the time to listen to my concerns and address them in a timely manner the providers are amazing they have treated me like family and always listened to my loved ones about their concerns regarding my progress and my plan of care.
