I'm floored at some of the negative reviews here. My experience with FAM was nothing but positive. Dr. Brezina is a God send and my interactions with everyone from nurses, ultrasound techs, lab techs, nurses on call, billing, reception were positive. Unfortunately most fertility treatment is elective, costly, and paid out of pocket. If some people are confused by that, it isn't the fault of FAM and their physicians.
We had an entire meeting with Dr. Brezina before beginning the IVF process to discuss nothing but the planning, schedule, and cost. Patients do bear some responsibility to stay organized and on top of things during a complex, specialized medical process like fertility treatment. Just my two cents.

I have nothing but amazing things to say about Fertility Associates of Memphis. My first appointment was telehealth because Dr. Bailey had Covid. Rather than cancel her patients, she powered through them, symptoms and all. It was then that I knew I would be in great hands. This entire process has been scary and stressful but Gracie, Dr. Bailey's nurse never made me feel like I was being a bother or that my questions were dumb.
When I had higher level questions Dr. Bailey would get to me within a good turnaround period. Just weeks after what was one year since my first appointment, we did my second embryo transfer and now I'm happily pregnant with twins at 18w They gave me hope when I was at rock bottom. I never once felt like I was a lost cause when I spoke with someone in the office.
I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Bailey to someone. Now, let's talk really quickly about what some people had complaints about. 1. Unfortunately most American insurances do not cover artificial reproductive technology, making this a cash business. I'm sure you would find it hard to come up with many places that provide a service and don't expect you to pay up front.
So yes, before they start these expensive and time consuming processes, they want their payment. I never had an encounter with anyone who was rude. When my HSA card had a max daily spend, they told not to worry about it and just come back between that day and the day of my trial transfer to pay the balance. Simple as that. A lot of your workup stuff and first trimester scans are covered by your insurance (depending on your insurance), but when it comes to the actual magic of babies being made, it will likely be out of pocket. 2.
That place is BUSY. If you think about it, they are trying to get A LOT of people pregnant at the same time. So those early morning lab and/or ultrasound appointments do sometimes make you feel like cattle in a herd. But if you actually knew the volume of people they see within that hour, you would be shocked. It's actually really efficient. 3. The physicians are busy.
They have a lot of patients just like thousands of other physicians in this country. So expecting an immediate call back from them is unreasonable. Yes this is an anxiety provoking situation for us, but we aren't their only patients. They are seeing patients, doing retrivals and surgery. They are busy. I never had a call that was returned so late that it changed my treatment plan.
I will forever be in debt to Dr. Bailey, Gracie, Ellen, the embryologists and the ladies in the surgery center.they gave me hope and then gave my daughter siblings. I can't thank them enough

I would give no stars if I could. For all that have left these "amazing" reviews you must be one of the lucky ones. I only had ONE experience with my dr while a patient there. Well 2 if you count the rude phone call I got telling me that "you could try getting pregnant on your own and it's not going to happen or you could just pay us and get IVF and be pregnant tomorrow" ( The Dr's words not mine ) After no further communication from the Dr's office and no further options we could try first I decided this is not the place for me. 3 weeks ago I called after being put on hold multiple times to get to the person who handles medical records and followed all the instructions to submit the request for my records to be sent to myself for my personal keeping.
I have yet to receive or hear back about my records. Luckily I work on health care and know to keep everything including the fax confirmation pages. Called yesterday, had to leave a message and called again today to be told "leave a message and she'll get right back with you" yeah that's not flying with me. I explained the situation and asked for the office manager which of course had to leave a message for.
We will see if I actually hear anything back. This is such poor service for a clinic that is supposed to be helping women in need who are wanting to get pregnant. Having these experiences really is a let down and makes people want to give up. It's time to do better.

Fertility Associates of Memphis does everything they can to make a difficult thing (seeking fertility help) as easy and painless as possible. Wait times are kept to an absolute minimum (a miraculous feat in the world of COVID!), the insurance and billing departments work hard to obtain coverage when no insurance company seems to want to help, and every staff member, nurse, and doctor is knowledgeable and kind. While I wish places like this weren't necessary for so many families, I am very grateful for their commitment to kindness and excellent care!

The experience was unmatched. Dr. Bailey was so sweet and she made sure I had my questions answer on each visit. I felt spoil and didn't want to stop going! She even call me and told me the gender of my baby which I requested that after my genetic testing! The whole staff was professional and nice! I definitely recommend this place!

Was referred here by my Gyno for my husband to schedule an appointment. After multiple calls of not getting thru and being placed on hold just to be hung up on, he decided to call the next day. Upon calling he realized that it was constantly giving him a recorded message stating that "the cell number you're trying to reach is no longer available".
So we used my phone and it went right thru. Idk whose at the front desk but it is very unprofessional to BLOCK a new patients number. I really hope it was just a coincidence but if not, they're front desk department needs to do better. He's not even scheduled yet and this is off to a bad start. Update: Got an appointment but was told that they needed an order before my husband's appointment. Called my Gyno and they stated it was sent on 2/17 and they tried multiple times to call to verify that they got the one sent from today.
She said she was placed on hold until someone picked up and hung up. We tried calling and the same. DO NOT GO TO THIS FACILITY! Especially if you're paying oop. If they won't answer the phone for simple calls, I know they won't answer for follow up questions in regards to anything else.

I decided to update my review. I believe that everything happens for a reason and when you feel slighted God has a way of working things out. I received a phone call from Dr. Kutteh last night and we talked about my process and are finally on the same page. I truly more than anything want this to be a wonderful process and sometimes all it takes is a phone call to make things right. Thank you Dr. Kutteh for being a human being and seeing me as a person and not just another number.

Looks like my last review was removed! Don't go here I went here for a year and was told that I needed IVF. I found out the day before the IVF consultation that my insurance was out of network and they tried to force me to pay 20k. Amelia Bailey is a Predator, and she preys on the weak and unsuspecting. Her nurse Gracie is exactly the same I left here, got a second opinion and got prescribed letrozole since I have pcos. Got pregnant the first time and the medication was only 2 bucks!
I almost went through IVF in June 2021, but thank God I left and was able to find an ethical clinic in Georgia who told me I didn't need IVF. Go to Shady Grove in ATL with Doctor Libby, run from this place unless you want to get robbed.
