The worst if you're in serious pain they'll let you cry and not do anything about it while the staff are dancing and singing in my personal opinion if they see a patient with so much they should take care of them first there's a guy next to that just got shot in the leg screaming like crazy and they're not doing anything about it! My anesthesiologist Dr Loyola was so professional and amazing he kept me calm, even playing and singing along with me to Hotel California The entire O/R team Tina, J. Rodriguez RN, Bryan were amazing. As well as Nel and Juhee in Outpatient. Thank you so much for making me feel well and making this scary situation (fighting cancer) a more positive scenario.

One last thing boss chicks Mary and Orchid in Outpatient both so fun and professional - Thank you again! If your reading this - please donate blood if you can their is a shortage!

I took my 17 y/o son to get his leg and knee checked due to a fall at home. Upon arrival the ER officer Ryan was very professional and helpful somehow immediately eased our nerves. The Xray tech (don't remember her name) was a sweetheart and did her best to help my son through the uncomfortable situation. Nurse Ms Manzo was awesome! She was patient on explaining the way to use crutches and how to care for my son at home. Great experience!

I was extremely pleased with the entire staff and hospital procedures. Everyone was friendly. I encountered so many personnel, from the first check in lady to the security guard and then the check in and payment staff to the nurses in the prep room and the nurses, technician, anesthesiologist and doctor in the procedure room. They were all thorough and super attentive.

They give you a heated blanket when you first lay down. At the end a volunteer came around and asked if I wanted a hand knitted scarf and beanie. Good job PIH Downey and special thanks to Girelle, Robert, Dr. Mallam, Dr. M.H. Nguyen, Haidee, and Santos.

A disaster! Workers are rude af! They are so fken lazy! Specially the securities at the front door! Front desk people don't even look at your eyes when talking to you! Rude!

Dr. Bill Kim and Dr. MH Nguyen were amazing. Aileen, Nel, Haidee, Santos, Mary and Rosie and Sarah were a rock star team. Great bed side manners! Highly recommend!

My husband had surgery at Downey PIH today and the whole experience could not have gone smoother! The preop staff was wonderful and very efficient. The OR staff including the anesthesiologist and surgeon were great (Mike, Steve, Dr. Garver and Dr. Minkes). The recovery team made sure I was kept up to date on my husband's progress and gave very detailed instructions for his discharge from the hospital. A BIG thank you to Laura, Ron, Mary, Giselle, Aileen and Gio (and anyone I missed) for taking such great care of him!

I drove a friend with a knee injury to PIH Downey ED. As I pulled up a Ed Tech named Kody offered help before I could ask. He was patient in helping me get my friend into a wheelchair while supporting his splinted knee. Kody set a great example of good customer service. "Thank you kody"

I had an out patient "Nanoknee" knee replacement performed here this week. From the time I checked in until I left I was treated with respect and kindness by everyone with whom I came in contact. The prep nurse, "Orchid", pre-op and surgical nurses whose names I can't remember were all tremendous. Any problem I had, they quickly resolved. The anesthesiologist that prepared me for the surgery was extremely caring when nerves were getting the best of me and eased my concerns.

Really a trouble free day created for me by the staff when I needed one the most. Thanks to them all. Also the Nanoknee procedure is unquestionably the way to go for knee replacements.

Hello ALL! I recently had a procedure at PIH Downey in the outpatient department and had the very comforting experience. It first started the Thursday before 7/15/21, I was not in the best of moods, I was asked to come in for a COVID test and my pre-op(list of questions on medical history.) I was greeted by ORCHID a nurse in the department. She seem genuine and happy, even though she was wearing a mask you could feel that see she was smiling. 7/19/21 day of my outpatient procedure guess who receives me ORCHID, again she seem very energetic and happy. She made me feel at ease and took my mind off the stress. Thank you MISS ORCHID

Better off going to a different hospital. Their ER nurses are a joke! Make the drive to another hospital, shoot go down to St. Francis. Their ER personnel is much better than this place. Disgusted by the treatment I received. I would understand if I was rude or behaving entitled but that was not the case. Just plain rude.

Want to give a big shout out to the AMAZING Outpatient Services Department at PIH Health Downey. What a great team of compassionate and professional caregivers. Not only did they take excellent care of me but the group effort I witnessed as they helped each other verified they were truly a team. My nurse Carina (G.O.A.T.) was called away several times in need of her expertise but I was never left alone.

If she left another nurse would seamlessly continue my pre-OP care. I felt vem.pry secure in their competent hands. So."Thank you Everyone". My pre-OP nurses were Nel and Carina (G.O.A.T.). The surgical team for Dr. Choi's which I vaguely remember since I was in the twilight zone was Gabby, Bryan, and Dr. Qin Hu. The beautiful faces I woke up to were Recovery nurses Aileen, Mary R., Liberty and of course my beautiful wife Nancy.blessed

Today I came in for a "daily double" and meet the most incredible people in outpatient-surgery. Carina started my IV and has the softest hands anyone could have in the hospital industry. Cathy interviewed me and was excellent. During my procedure Santos, Haidee and Ray were great. My doctors were Dr. Ojha and Dr. Chao. They were the best doctors to have.

The cocktail he gave me sent to Hawaii! In the recovery I felt like I was in heaven. They had the most friendly and attentive people I ever meet. The best humans you can come across. Mary M, Hannah, Mary R and Myles were awesome. I hope I didn't forget anyone because of the great anesthesia!

I had a procedure at PIH Downey today in the outpatient department and had the best experience. Dr. Ayoub is a superb surgeon and Dr. Garver is just the best anesthesiologist! HUGE THANKS to the staff of outpatient surgery and OR. Teo was so nice in the interview process. My preop nurse Carina made me laugh the entire time and helped calm the nerves. Zulema the CNA also helped in preop.

Thank you to Ceasar and Gabby who were the best OR nurses, and Steve/Hugo the techs. Thank you Robert for taking care of me in recovery and Orchid who removed my IV painlessly. Mary R the boss lady visited me before and after surgery to make sure I was doing okay, and she was really friendly. I highly recommend this hospital for procedures and surgery. Everyone was so warm and welcoming. THANK YOU once again!

Had my first surgery yesterday, the nurses were amazing with me. The tool a really good care and help me with my recovery. They all took time to ask about my being and answered all my questions. Adam need to be a bit more sensitive he was like in a hurry to do his job.

This hospital is a joke. My sister developed a large dip in her head and started getting headaches so I drove her over here. During her visit, only ONE nurse checked out the dip in her head while the other nurses were just staring her down, making her uncomfortable. The doctor didn't even acknowledge the dip in her head and diagnosed her headaches as caffeine withdrawals. This whole visit took no more than 30 minutes. Pathetic. I just realized they changed the reason of her visit to "headaches". You guys are better off going somewhere else.

Worst customer service ever. Don't expect to be treated with respect or courtesy when calling. Their receptionist are very condescending and belittle you any chance they get. Please retrain your staff on simple manners.

Just had surgery. this hospital and the amazing staff was incredible they took good care of me very nice and and warm welcoming. The Nurses Gicelle, Cindy and the Doctors Dr. Maducdac & Dr. W. Park was amazing at getting my surgery right on. Hats down to everyone that made my visit so well welcoming
