Spinal Decompression is used to create a distractive force to relieve pressure on the nerve roots by taking pressure off the discs and joints therefore enhancing the natural healing process by increasing circulation, increasing mobility, and decreasing inflammation. The device we use is called the Chattanooga Triton DTS traction system.
Ultrasound is a therapeutic treatment using high frequency sound waves administered in the region of the injury that helps treat soft tissue inflammation by increasing blood flow, reducing swelling and edema, breaking down scar tissue, and promoting bone fracture healing. Electrical Muscle Stimulation or EMS is an effective micro massage for your muscles by reducing inflammation and providing pain relief.

Dr. Shepard and his staff are awesome! I can't say enough good things about this office. The Dr., physical therapists, front office and the billing department were all incredibly attentive and understanding. Thank you for putting up with me while dealing with a confusing and frustrating insurance claim and more importantly thank you for helping me get back on my feet after my accident.

I was referred to this facility by my primary care after a near fatal car accident and after experiencing an awful first visit with another auto accident doctor office. I have nothing but great things to say about BAIR! The staff is wonderful and Nurse Practitioner Faber is outstanding. The physical therapists are knowledgeable and take the necessary time to help you work through your pain and getting better.
The receptionists are so attentive that they learn the patients names and don't even have to ask your name when signing in. I was so impressed with this! After my first visit they would greet me and grab my file each time they'd see me walk in and not even wait for me to give them my name. I went through STEM treatments and massage therapy as well as stretching exercises with the therapists 2-3 times a week. Dr. Faber is also very thorough--checks your stretch abilities and pain points each visit with him.
He knows your file and doesn't have to refer to it when seeing you. He's concerned about the patient rather than treating you like a number. The massage therapists are good. Chris was the best but she's no longer there and what a loss that is! Thanks BAIR for getting me back to normal and showing me strength exercises that I still do today to help keep me pain free for the most part.

I was sent here after a car accident and I blindly followed the advisement since, well, you panic and only have 14 days after accident to "get checked out". Here is what you will go through: you will spend 30+ minutes filling out 20 pages of paperwork. Next you will be seen by a nurse practitioner (I'm not sure if any doctors work there) and he or she will press on you and bend you to see where you might be hurt.
They will also very quickly and robotically show you a two minute stretch routine you should do at home for your post accident pains. (Not sure how anyone would remember these without recording and they never give you print outs.) after that they will tell you you need to go across the street for a gross amount of x-rays (I complained of moderate neck pain and some knee bruising and they tried ordering me about 7-rays!) They will also try to get you to do general PT session there in office that day and tell you that you MUST be seen 3 times per week there or you will have pain way worse later. (Lots of scare tactics) they will recommend a lawyer to you that they conveniently already have business cards for, for all your car accident related needs that you are sure to need.) This place wasted a lot of my time and tried to bill my insurance $600 just for this consult.
I left feeling like I had spent hours with a commission car salesman. Believe me when I tell you that the NP knew from putting pressure on me and bending me that nothing was severely wrong with me they just lead me to "believe" otherwise (I never got those X-rays and I sure as heck never went back for their physical therapy.)
