Service at this practice has steadily declined over time and I've seen them my entire adult life. Most recently, I was set for a telehealth visit that ran 30 minutes behind with no call from the office regarding the provider running late. I sat in my car on my break waiting on the provider in 100 degree heat for what should have been a 5-10 minute review of labs.
I called the office to get an explanation and was put on hold for 10 minutes. Ultimately had to have my appointment rescheduled but all could have been avoided had the doctor's office improved their communication. Willing to give them another chance since I appreciate the providers here but not longer impressed with the service.

Not sure how to rate this facility because I would give the staff less than 1. went for my appointment that was scheduled and they didn't have me in the system? I had made time for my allotted appointment and they did not even have my information in the system which they collected on the phone. doesn't make sense, completely unacceptable. Now I need to rearrange my schedule (again) to get this appointment taken care of. If there weren't a waitlist everywhere else I would seek care somewhere else. Super upset.

They are extremely overbooked. To the point that they refused to refill my parents prescriptions without seeing them and then couldn't get them an appointment for more than a month. So we moved practices and then they charged us to move records (something I'm not sure is legal). Their care was handled very poorly, as well. After one visit with my Dad's new doctor, he's walking again.

Terrible experience, my wife had a scheduled appointment at their office and left before she even saw the doctor! She arrived 10 mins before her appointment and an hour later couldn't handle the treatment. They left her for 45 mins in the examination room with only a thin paper sheet on. She described it as being trapped in an ice box. Nobody checked in to tell her that the doctor is running late. They appeared more focused on sales than patient care. I strongly recommend that you find another office!

Dr. Kate Mallory is really good. She's compassionate and takes the time to listen to your problem and provide detailed response. Then answers any questions you might have and discuss pros and cons of the types of treatments available. Now the bad. The wait times are abominable. Taking into consideration that probably every dr. office we should expect maybe up to 30 minutes, you can expect that to be the minimum wait time for this office.
Last two visits here (one for my daughter, one for me) the wait times were 47 minutes and 65 minutes. While waiting over an hour, I saw another patient pull up in their car (outside visit due to covid) and get treated before me, by the same nurse that finally treated me. She said the other patient was an "emergency". I was sitting in the car next to them.
It was not an emergency. Call backs. Doesn't matter what you are calling for. Appointments, prescriptions (it would be faster to order them from Canada), lab results, whatever. Don't delude yourself into thinking you will get a callback. It won't happen. This is something I have learned over a number of years now. I actually drove to the office to make my daughters appointment this year because leaving a message doesn't work. It's as if no one ever listens to the phone messages. It's sad because I really like Dr. Kate. I will try to find another GP.

Worst clinic we experienced ever. If you are late a few minutes for an appointment they will cancel it and not talk to you again until you reschedule. And they will charge you a copay anyways! My insurance requires referrals from them for us to see a specialist. It is a struggle to get a referral from them. The only nurse Amanda does not come on phone with the excuse she is busy.
Whenever I go there, the clinic is mainly empty not sure when and how she could be so busy. It almost looks like they do not want any business perhaps getting ready to file bankruptcy.

I have received excellent care by both PA's and Dr. Smith. There is always adequate time to discuss any concerns and I never feel like I am being rushed. I have called ahead and explained I might be a few minutes late and never was asked to reschedule (this happened maybe 2x, been seeing them for yearly checkups since 2005). I receive emails to use Family Health History website to track my health and able to share with other providers when necessary. They have a very professional office staff as well.

I went back in February and was sick for the whole month of February. I got diagnosed with a double viral infection although no tests were run - not even a throat swab to see if I had strep or any bacteria. The staff made me an appointment with Dr. Smith but when I arrived they reassigned me to a nurse practitioner named Katie because they misrecorded my appointment time. Katie was very compassionate, but all I really wanted was to get physically better, not her empathy.
She told me to call back if it got worse. When my fever spiked to 104 and I still was not showing improvement in 5 to 7 days, I called back. I called the office several times for several days and no one kept their promise to follow up with me. I got hung up on several times and then when I called back they treated me like I was crazy for calling so many times in a row, insisting that they had just put me on hold rather than hung up.
A nurse named Amanda argued with me that they would not send me in a prescription because my strep test was negative, and blamed me for not accurately describing my symptoms during the initial office visit. They said the only thing they could do for me was to schedule me another appointment to run the tests that they should have done in the first place.
I didn't do that because the initial visit cost me about $160, and I didn't know if a follow-up would even be worth it considering how many mistakes were made. I asked them for a feedback survey which Amanda said would be sent to me. I still have not received it. I will not be returning to Preston Medical Associates. Even if the doctors other than Katie are good, I can't even get through the staff.
