Do you remember the last time you had a comprehensive eye exam? Yearly eye exams are important for everyone. This is because eye exams check for more than just visual acuity. When dealing with an eye condition like keratoconus, it's important to seek quality eye care from a trusted source. The Cape Fear Eye Associates, PA, is an eye care center based in Fayetteville, North Carolina. We provide services for keratoconus and similar eye diseases. Before getting treated for this condition, here's what you need to know about keratoconus.
Keratitis is a common condition that refers to inflammation in the cornea of the eye. Your cornea is a translucent piece of tissue that covers your iris and pupil. It's necessary for vision because it refracts light and allows you to see. When the cornea swells, it can be painful and affect your vision.

Update to my original review below. The office manager called and scheduled another appointment, was able to accommodate before the holidays and apologized for the confusion. I am very pleased with the service and dr Campbell is the best, very thorough answer all the questions. Going back for a follow-up in 6 months. Changing my rating from 1 to 5 One of the worst front desk staff of any office.
Apparently there is no grace period if you show up 3 mins late to your scheduled appointment, had they mentioned that prior to scheduling then I would understand but 3mins late they flat out say we can't see you. As if We have all the free time, waste of my day. I had taken time off of work for this appointment but thanks to Ashli at the front desk now I have to come again. SMH

Everyone at the Metromedical Drive location was fantastic. From the staff at the front desk all the way through to Dr. Patel everyone was kind, patient and reassuring as I went through the steps and questions about refractive surgery. All my questions were answered and I was given information about all the steps and tests as I was going through them. For eye surgery, the thoroughness is greatly appreciated. Looking forward to coming back for surgery. I know I'll be well taken care of.

I'm giving this place two stars only because we really liked Leah Bonaparte. She was extremely knowledgeable and was great with my daughter. Unfourtantely, I have been calling for weeks to try and get my son and daughter appointments to be seen. I always leave a voicemail and no one ever calls me back. I even tried their live help thing and they said they would have someone contact me and still nothing. My daughter has special needs and is having problems with her vision and I'm not getting any calls back is super frustrating. We will be looking for a new practice.

After reading these reviews it seems to me that the woman at the front desk really likes rescheduling. We waited 3 months for our appointment while my son has been having pain but thought it would be worth the wait since the woman who originally scheduled our appointment assured us this was one of the best practices around. Fast forward to our appointment yesterday.
I checked my son out of school and drove an hour out of the way just to be told rudely that I would have to be rescheduled because I had my one year old with me and the soonest they had is a month out. What are military spouses with no family around supposed to do? And if this was protocol why was I never told this so I could try and make other arrangements? I feel this whole situation was handled extremely poorly and we will be looking for an alternative office.

My 80 year old mother waited 4 hours yesterday before she was finally seen because they had overbooked. Completely unacceptable! She also was MADE to pay $40 in advance JUST IN CASE she needed glasses.which she did not. I have never heard of paying for any type of treatment/exam before services are rendered. That is like saying, you need to pay $100 just in case you need surgery. Ridiculous!
