Services
Doctor Williams approach to family medicine (family practice - primary care) is aimed at promoting health and preventing disease. He is board certified in family medicine. He completed his residency training at Eisenhower Medical Center in 2002. After that he continued to practice in the US Army in family practice - primary care until 2005.
Osteopathic manipulative treatment, or OMT, is hands-on care. It involves using the hands to diagnose, treat, and prevent illness or injury. It works in harmony with the body's innate ability to heal itself. Using OMT, your osteopathic physician will move your muscles and joints using techniques including stretching, gentle pressure and resistance.
If you have car injuries from an automobile accident, it is recommended to contact a doctor that specializes in treating patients who have car injuries (getting the medical care you need to start your recovery from your car injury). Being in an automobile accident can be a terrifying and overwhelming experience.
How do we heal? Well for sure, Mother Nature knows the answer to the above question. Though I do not feel qualified to speak on behalf of Mother Nature, as a student of nature and an osteopathic physician, share with you my understanding of the healing process. More important than my opinion is your own understanding of how healing takes place.
COEUR d'ALENE - Just because you're not in a combat zone doesn't mean your body isn't under stress. Just ask Dr. Don Williams, D.O., who recently opened a medical practice in Coeur d'Alene following two tours of duty in Iraq. What he offers North Idaho residence is a specialty called osteopathic manipulative medicine, which basically consists of him using his hands to sense what's going on with that body and then using his hands gently to encourage the body to correct itself.Williams is a licensed physician, even though osteopathic manipulation is a less common medical model.

Dr Williams is very good and professional at performing Osteopathic Treatment. I have been under Dr. Williams care for a number of years now and what a difference he has done for me. I would recommend Dr. Williams to anyone who suffers from Chronic Pain and find them selves being limited to living the life we all vision being normal.

Dr. Williams has helped me tremendously in my ongoing recovery from an auto accident! He has a wonderful, kind and caring demeanor. I have no problem recommending him to my friends or others who are suffering from chronic pain. I have been able to do so much more in life with a lot less pain! Dr. Williams is also wonderful with children and has helped my son with knee, hip and lower back adjustments as well. Happy the office dog is also part of the experience as she is a joyful addition to the Dr. visit!

Prior to becoming a patient of Dr. Williams, I did not have the quality of life that one deserves, and this was due to severe pain - morning, noon, and night. Those of us that endure chronic, unrelenting pain would likely agree that not only does the body suffer, but the mind does as well. Dr. Williams has provided me the ability to make my life my own once again because of the effectiveness of his osteopathic treatments and the residual pain relief that is awarded as a result of ongoing, regularly-scheduled treatments.
He is very knowledgeable, professional, considerate, and skilled in his field. The office is an extremely tranquil environment with beautiful plants, soothing music, and the cutest little goldendoodle named Happy. His office assistant, Amy is courteous, accommodating, friendly, and intelligent. I can definitely say that I look forward to my osteopathic treatments. Spokane is lucky to have Dr. Williams.
