Hummel Eye Associates

I recently went to Hummel Eye Associates for Cataract surgery. From the moment I walked in the office, I was greeted by people who wanted to help and serve me. The office is run efficiently and with very kind people. The level of expertise of the staff is renowned and each member that I worked with did their jobs well. They took their time to evaluate me correctly and even though it took weeks to get the correct measurement, they never hurried the process which showed me they cared more for me getting the right lens at the right time.

My eyesight is now 20/20 for the first time in my life! Dr. Chris Hummel is genuinely a great guy, which is important, but when I'm in that procedure room I need him to be a great surgeon and he most certainly is that. I highly recommend him to everyone. 5 stars just isn't a high enough rating! Thanks to Dr. Hummel and his staff.

Everyone that I speak to at Hummel Eye Associates is always kind and helpful. Dr. Hummel & Staff are wonderful. I am pleased that I am included in the process with Dr Hummel and not just being told what is going to work. Dr Hummel does ask and verify and takes the time to answer any questions and provides me a choice! Yes, a Choice in my eye care. I would recommend that you do not go anywhere else.

Went into Hummel Eye today. The office is clean with great staff. Waited only a couple of minutes before I saw the Dr. He was patient, kind and thorough. The procedure took only a few minutes. Will continue to be a patient. Thanks Dr. Hummel for taking good care of my eyes.

The staff at Hummel Eye Associates have been very friendly and helpful every time I have gone in for exams, tests, and post-op visits. I am thrilled with the results of my cataract surgeries and am so thankful to have been in Dr. Hummel's skillful hands for both procedures!

Hello I'm Patient Melissa A. I want to say I am a rare case 42year who had a cataract in the middle of my right eye that progressed fast. The staff always was respectful, professional and very knowledgeable. I believe I got top of the line patient care from beginning to end. My eye sight has improved significantly and I am forever great full. The Dr. Hummel was honest with his assessment and I feel he did excellent work. I would recommend him!

I think Dr. Hummel is the best eye doctor ever. He and his staff are so efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. When I leave there after having had an eye exam, I know that I have had the best one I could possibly have. They have a really nice waiting room set up for us patients with coffee, cookies, little crackers, t.v. and magazines. Thank you everyone for such a good job.

I have been a customer of Hummel Eye Associates for about 3 yrs now. I appreciate the professionalism that the staff shows but yet they still make you feel as though your more than a customer! The whole staff is very knowledgeable and Dr Hummel is very down to earth when you have questions or concerns. I will continue to be a customer as long as I am living here in OKC.

Hummel Eye is a fabulous practice! Dr. Hummel is the best, he has performed lasik on my husband, son, and many friends, he has also performed cataract surgery on my father and stepmother. You only get one set of eyes, I wouldn't let anyone, but Dr. Hummel and his team take care of my family and I.

I have nothing but great things to say about Hummel Eye Associates. Such a friendly atmosphere and so helpful! My son had an accident involving his eye and called on a Friday afternoon. They were so concerned for him and had him come in within the hour. They took such great care of him. We both highly recommend Hummel for the quality care they provide.

Best, best, best staff ever! After an optometrist and two ophthalmologists couldn't correct my vision with glasses, and after the two ophthalmologists told me I needed cataract surgery, I decided to try Hummel Eye Associates. I am so glad I did! The Dr told me I barely had a cataract, only in one eye, and that he wouldn't do surgery on me even if I asked him to.

And special thanks to Cindy, who took time checking my prescription and was able to get me into glasses that corrected my vision to 20-20 in one eye and 20-25 in the other. From the minute I came in, throughout the appointment, and while I picked out frames, everyone was super friendly and helpful. I am so thankful I found this place!

First, their medical assistants treat you like garbage or like you are a nuisance to them or something. They must hate their job or something? I always feel like they are angry and act like robots. No hi how are you or anything. They are literally robots. Sit at this machine, go in this room, bye. Then you feel like everyone just whispers about you because they don't know how to professionally address your issue so they talk to each other instead of you, the patient. Dr Hummel can not hold himself accountable and tries to blow off your concern or issue that he caused. Instead he acts like he doesn't know what you are talking about. What happened to professionalism and accountability in this world?

The Hummel Team is always helpful and welcoming. At all levels they provide excellent service from the moment you walk in the door. Dr. Eakins always works with you to find the best options for your and your vision. She keeps multiple options available when trying new contacts or glasses to make sure there is something that fits your needs and life style.

In addition to regular vision checks the Hummel team has provided great care when it comes to over all eye health and treating eye infections. It is a great comfort knowing that the Hummel Team can handle all aspects of my vision needs.

This is the worst eye care in town. From the first visit, they asked me for my medical insurance info in addition to my vision plan, in despite I only requested and appointment for a routine visit. In more than one ocassion, I realized they submitted charges for services they did not provide, to different members of my family. In addition their staff is useless and Linda, the person in charge of the eye glasses is the most inept person I ever met.

She has continuously made mistakes on all orders including applying the wrong prescription to lenses I purchased for an existing frame and also not responding to Eyeconic (insurance website to buy eyecare) requests to validate prescription when the purchase of contacts is not done thru her office.

My 86yo mother had cataract surgery 5 years ago. Ever since that time, she has experienced double vision. This double vision has cause issues with walking, balance and ultimately, has cause several falls. Many eye doctors have attempted to correct this through prisms in her glasses Rx. She has dementia that has impacted her ability to verbalize improvements during an eye exam, ultimately leading to a failure in correction.

As one could imagine, this makes it very challenging for a doctor to figure out the needed correction for double vision and the repeated attempts by the lab to grind the right Rx. Enter Dr. Sherri Eakins, with Hummel Eye Associates. Dr. Eakins took the extra time to figure out how to effectively communicate with my mother to get clear signals of "good" or "worse" during the eye exam.

It probably took twice as long to complete the exam, but the payoff was a beautiful thing to behold. At the moment that Dr. Eakins figured out the correct prism combination, my mother sang out the word "STOP!". Dr Eakins had done what no other Dr was able to accomplish. My mother started crying tears of joy. I can't imagine a better example of why anyone should consider Hummel Eye Associates as their choice for eye care. Although I live out of state, I'm scheduling my next Eye appointment with Dr. Eakins. Lastly, the support staff and technicians were polite, professional and pleasant.
