As a contact lens wearer, you will need to be seen annually to have your doctor check your vision, corneas, and make sure your lenses are fitting properly. Your contact lens prescription is valid for one year from the date of your last exam. If you happen to go through your annual supply of contacts before the year is up, you may order additional lenses.
A cataract is a clouding of the natural lens of the eye. This process is most commonly caused by aging, but may also be seen with various medical conditions. People with cataracts may start to notice trouble with seeing clearly for activities of daily living. These activities include reading street signs, reading small print, and recognizing print on the television. Other patients will notice glare at night from approaching headlights. When symptoms become bothersome it may be time for cataract surgery.

I asked the receptionist if I could use the bathroom. She said, do have an appointment, I replied no? The receptionist responded, I'm sorry but you can't use our restroom. I am a 72 years old female. Of course, my need was urgent. I was totally humiliated in the presence of at least 15 patients. I told the receptionist that I couldn't make it any further. She said, I am sorry. I had on n N95 Mask. I didnt understand the harm.

I had a rather urgent need to have my eye(s) examined after experiencing some intense eye pain that turned out to be a series of concretions that were abrading my cornea. Having not been a patient prior to this (and being in the middle of COVID), my hopes were not high of being seen immediately - I was pleasantly surprised to be wrong! Not only did I get in the same morning as a result of the staff working me into the schedule, i had the pleasure of being being treated by Dr. LaPoint and his excellent support team. Can't speak highly enough of the experience. Was so impressed that I am not scheduled with them for my routine/maintenance eye health.

I just want to thank Dr. La Point and the staff of Eye Care Associates. The older I get the less I like going to any doctor but I am glad I did. The staff was nice. Doctor La Point came out and greeted me. He took the time to answer all of my questions and did not seemed rushed. The front desk staff were nice and very efficient handling the paper work and scheduling. Overall, a positive experience.
