Foxhall offers a variety of personalized services to care for you throughout your healthcare journey. Having a baby is one of the most important events in your life. Our obstetrical team of five physicians is dedicated to taking care of each patient from conception through delivery and the postpartum period in a safe and individualized manner.
We take our time. With hands-on and personalized care, we ensure that each patient gets the full attention she deserves. Dr. Tara Abraham joined the Foxhall team in 2015. She graduated from the University of Chicago. Prior to completing her Medical Degree at the Loyola University of Chicago, she obtained a Master's Degree of Public Health at Yale University.
Foxhall physicians are available to provide answers to your healthcare questions and to be your partner throughout your health journey. Sibley Memorial Hospital offers complimentary shuttle service between Tenleytown town Metro Station, located on The Redline, and the Sibley Medical Building circle, weekdays from 6:00 am to 5:30 pm.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Lightfoote and Foxhall. My previous OB decided to only do GYN so I needed to find a new physician when we were trying to get pregnant. After doing research I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Lightfoote and it was the best decision. I had a preexisting condition that required me to see a couple other specialists during my pregnancy and both referrals she gave me were to other wonderful doctors.
She never once rushed through an appointment or made me feel like she didn't have time for me. I am an extremely controlling, type A personality that does obsessive amounts of research and her laid back demeanor was definitely what I needed to counteract that. After our baby was born, she personally helped my husband get so many good pictures of him, what doctor does that!?
Her nurse Bre is also so friendly and on top of everything, and all the nurses who do the blood draws were really good. During my rotations I also saw Drs Abraham and Bren, and Dr Messenger started my induction and all were all great. Highly recommend!

This will be my second time here, and already had an awkward, ridiculous and futile experience preceding my upcoming 2022 appointment. So, here is my story today, I was at Sibley 5215 Loughboro Mefical building for an unrelated appointment, so I decided to go personally to Foxhall OBGYN office to schedule my annual appointment. Their office is in the same building as my other unrelated appointment, but on a different floor.
One of the front desk staff, who could not hear me because of wearing earbuds while using her phone, and would not take them out, told me they would not schedule appointments there and that I had to call to their "call center." Well, I stepped out of the office, and called while standing in front of their glass doors, and another front desk staff that was next to the one I had just talked to a minute before, picked up the phone and scheduled the appointment.
I think they realized I was calling just after being turned away because unsolicited by me, they felt compelled to now define to me what type of appointments the would and would not schedule. They have no call center. This is the most absolute example of laziness, deceitfulness, and poor customer service. Front desk and office management teams can really bring down the practice image and reputation of the medical team.
I will give this office another try because I really like the doctor I saw last year who had really great bedside manners, and took the time to really hear me out and have a real conversation with me, something that is really lost in the medical community these days, as most see themselves as celebrity or gods, and patients are humans as long as they have a healthy bank account. So, we'll see what the next appointment bring!

I can't say enough great things about this practice. I felt comfortable and well taken care of during my first pregnancy and had a great experience with all of the doctors I saw for my prenatal care. I am especially thankful for Dr. Kathleen Bren who was there for my induction and delivery. She was knowledgeable, confident, caring, and helped guide me through a successful delivery of my baby girl.
I felt like she genuinely cared for me as a person and understood what was important to me - I am so happy she was there for my first, and I can only hope she will be the one to deliver my (future) children as well!

Foxhall is fantastic. Friendly, helpful staff and nurses. Appointments generally run on time. Dr. Beckerman has guided me through a BRCA1 gene mutation diagnosis with extreme care, expertise, responsiveness, and excellent recommendations for other doctors when necessary. Highly recommend this practice!

I saw Dr Kathleen Bren for the first time recently and could not be happier with my experience. I have recommended her to all my female friends since my visit. She was understanding and I felt like she really cared and was listening to me. I have zero complaints. The front desk, nursing, and billing staff were all very polite, too.

Horrible practice. They attempted to send me a $950 bill for "estimated" services, seriously. Had to call and threaten to report them for HIPPA violations. They were infamous for various charges, like charging me $24 to draw my blood only to wait until after doing so to say there wouldn't be a charge had I gone straight to labcorp and receiving a physician bill months after leaving the practice.
Aside from random charges my doctor attempted to put me on aspirin after one visit where my blood pressure was slightly elevated which I told her "no". She was shocked that I refused the aspirin and informed her that I planned on a natural delivery without medication. I'm so glad I switched practices. Unless you want to take medication that could possibly harm your baby or simply have extra money to spend without care, I simply wouldn't do it. Never again!

Dr Bren was a great doctor & really helped me through my pregnancy as I became high risk. Got put on bed rest, couldn't work due to pandemic long story short after I had my baby it was time for my 6 week check up the office manager said I couldn't be seen because I had a balance that needed to be paid, I explain to her I haven't worked in 3 months no income I understand I have to pay my balance.
She didn't care & didn't want to here it. They discontinued me as a patient & I had to hunt around for another doctor to see me for my post opt appointment & see my incision because I had a C-section. Would not recommend this practice!

I have nothing but amazing things to say about this practice! I primarily saw Dr. Bren throughout my pregnancy and she delivered fantastic care. She was so kind and responsive to my hundreds of ridiculous anxiety-driven questions. I also saw Dr. Davis, who likewise was amazing in terms of addressing all my questions and taking the time to make me feel cared for.
And finally I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Abraham, who delivered my wonderful and healthy baby boy via c section! She and the rest of the team followed up daily after the c section until I left the hospital and once again addressed all of my concerns and questions when I was freaking out as a new mom. The bedside manner of this group of doctors I saw is unparalleled! Finally, the staff is pretty good as well - I hardly ever have to wait on the phone for an appointment and everyone is super responsive on the patient portal.

I've been going to Foxhall since April 2020 for my pregnancy. I have nothing but great things to say about the practice. I've had a wonderful experience. The office is beautiful, the staff is lovely, and the doctor's are super helpful and informative. As a woman of color, I was pleased to see they have a diverse group of doctor's in the office. I highly recommend this practice. Considering all of the complexities with COVID-19, I am impressed with the way they are ensuring the health and safety of their patients.

I started seeing Dr. Beckerman back in 2013 when I was having severe pain in my lower abdomen. Before I found Foxhall OBGYN I had seen 5 different doctors who basically told me to take Advil. Dr. Beckerman was the first doctor to listen to me and acknowledge what I was going through. I ended up having endometriosis and needed surgery to remove it.
He was caring and listened to me through the entire process. Now a few years later I'm pregnant and see Dr. Bren mostly. She has the best bed side manner, is thoughtful, listens, and is a great doctor all around. I've also seen Dr. Abraham and Dr. Messinger. They are just as wonderful. The staff is also helpful and kind.
