I had nothing but a positive experience with all of the staff that I met during my visit on 6/11/22. Main Lobby staff was A1, as well as all of the Support Staff that help me navigate through the halls. The Nursing Staff were very professional and the 7p-7a shift were amazing; they were so accommodating, kind and diligent in their duties. Unbeknownst to the staff, I too am a RN who was working in another role (sitter) on that evening from an outside Agency. A very special thanks to Nurse Ann and Nurse Jenifer! From: Nurse Angie!

Terrible experience. I got there at 10 am and did not leave til 9 at night. Dr. Dave is incredibly rude and lacked compassion. I heard him tell the staff to "remind everyone that there is a shortage of doctors". I understand that it is currently a struggle in the medical field right now but do not make your patients feel bad for seeking care. He took forever to see me and when he did he said about 5 words to me.
My oxygen level kept on dropping and my heart rate was extremely high and yet he still discharged me. I have pylenephritis and they told me to go back if I was experiencing new symptoms such as not being able to breathe, which I was, yet they did nothing for me. They asked if I wanted pain meds even though I was already on a bunch of pain meds such as a narcotic that gave me no pain relief at all.
When I asked him why do I still have so much pain and it seems to be getting worse even though I am on these antibiotics he said "I don't have a good answer" he did not know what he was talking about. Overall, a terrible experience.

Terrible experience. I was in horrible pain but left at 3 a.m. after waiting 5 1/2 hours and no hope of being seen.they had NO idea how long it would be. Of course there's triage, but this was beyond crazy. Told by a nurse that an abnormal lab result was probably result of "too much protein"- he didn't have any idea what he was talking about. He should not have been interpreting my medical information in any case.
I observed the charge nurse in the front area several times NOT WEARING A MASK. AT LEAST THREE GUARDS ALSO NOT WEARING MASKS. I was truly shocked. Staff were rude and couldn't have cared less. Only two people out of many showed any kindness at all. The triage nurses and the phlebotomist didn't clean between patients, didn't wash hands and didn't clean off the tray that they put bloodwork and COVID swabs on.
Read that Maryland has worse waiting room times in the nation. I will NOT pay the bills. The labs were not collected properly, a triage nurse didn't write down my meds or dosage correctly. Truly shocking. Somebody needs to do an undercover investigation of this place.

I work for a contractor that is doing an addition to the hospital, this morning we were notified that we are not welcome to use the hospital's amenities (such as popping in and getting something to eat) kinda funny that they choose to disrespect the hard working sub contractors that are contributing to the expansion of a medical center that has the potential to help a lot of people.
Not to mention how ridiculous it is that we aren't allowed to get something to eat on public property. Kind of a shame, it just goes to show that people such as Greater Baltimore Medical Center decide to look down upon those who are blue collar, it's a pity.

I have been to a few emergency rooms and this one is my go too when needed. I went a few weeks after the Christmas surge when everything kinda calmed down with COVID and hardly anyone was there. I was in and out within 2.5 -3 hours. Dr. Dov was great and had awesome bedside manners. The male nurse was really nice too and personable as well. 2 days later i went back and i also had Sarah who was a PA.
She seems concerned and did everything possible to help me. Unfortunately i needed to see a specialist and had to get emergency surgery that week but the ER at GBMC did everything they could. They seemed well organized and tried their best to figure out what was wrong with me without me being there for hours while Bayview and Franklin square is always a 6+ hour wait on a slow day. Def recommend.

Dr. Hammer came in for her shift well after I was admitted for an induced labor. She was very friendly, informative and a great communicator. I love that Dr. Hammer is able to keep eye contact as she speaks to you, it made her so easy to trust! She is really calm and changed my pressured & panicky mood during my final moments of labor and delivery.
During my stay in the Mother & Baby wing two of my most memorable nurses were Nurse Cynthia & Nurse Stephanie. Nurse Cynthia was caring, thoughtful, and personable just as much as she was knowledgeable and informative. Nurse Cynthia was very informative and had great communication skills as well.

I visited the GBMC-Infectious Diseases department. This is the second go around with them. Although Dr. Jennifer Townsend was very thorough and personable, the communication and follow up was horrendous. My medications were sent to the incorrect pharmacy and she did not notify me that she had chosen a different pharmacy but to complicate matters, it's taken 3 days of back and forth calling and texting to get it straightened out. Meanwhile, I've been sick for over 7 days and still don't have my medication. I'd suggest that a retraining of the office staff would be advisable.

Had a good experience at the ER. I came in with abdominal pain. They teiaged me promptly and drew blood for tests. Then they put me in a different waiting room. I actually got my test results back in the MyChart app before I got out of the waiting room. When I thought they were ignoring my abdominal pain too long, I pointed out to the staff that I was still having pain.
They moved me to a separate room where I was seen by a physician assistant. She got my process going. They ordered a CT scan, and once they saw that I actually had a reason to be in pain, they took me back to the main ER and started my treatment. Then they admitted me to the main hospital. That was yesterday. I was treated, and I am much better today. It's taking longer than I'd like to get me discharged, but I know that they have lots of other patients besides me. I recommend GBMC.
