One of the first things that you can do is take the time to find a pediatrician (or group of pediatricians) who is (are) qualified and are willing to listen. Many parents think of the pediatrician as someone who helps their child when they are sick. What you will find is that much of what goes on at the pediatrician's office is not medicine at all.

From booking the first appointment to dealing with forms and billing this office has been horrible. We were told specialized care is impossible because they have 20-30 new patients a day. They do not care about the individual child. My daughter has had the same pediatrician from the day she was born until 5 years old in Los Angeles, and recover great care by the same doctor for years, moving here I researched what I thought was a good office thoroughly, I was very wrong and will not be returning to this office.
Not only did they up charged things in her well visit exam with out telling me they we're not apart of a well exam, the front office staff is over worked, short and not helpful they did not even bother to try and get her previous records and filled out her state forms that she is unvaccinated without even confirming with me. Save your self the hassle and go elsewhere.

Cannot say enough great things about Dr. Brown at the Milford office. He's seen my now 12yo daughter for years. He's open, and honest. Personable and gentle. She trusts him, and feels comfortable with him. As do I. We are grateful for his patience, his understanding of the severity of allergies, as well as my daughters rare disease. Milford is lucky to have such a gem! We're grateful.

The docs are good and as a medical professional, I can attest everyone we've seen has been solid and kind with good judgement. (Hence the star at all). The office side has been a nightmare. I Call the office and you find out I'm the 21st in line. I called to make an appointment to discuss medication for a child who has been established there since birth and was told they couldn't make the appointment without paperwork first.
I emailed the office the papers. I received an email that I can now make the appointment. Great! I call AGAIN (and am on hold for 26 minutes) and am told that the Milford office can't see the Hyde park's emails and they refuse to schedule the appointment for an established patient. The next day I call the one and only office number and am again told that even though I have in writing from ESD that I can schedule, they refuse to make us an appointment because they can't contact the Hyde park office.
I ask to be forwarded to the Hyde Park office. You guessed it, holding again forever to finally have someone pick up to say they don't do scheduling from this location? I physically walk to the Hyde Park office to make the appointment and am told they only will make appointments over the phone. It's such bad service it would be funny except my child's health is on the line. Something needs to change yesterday.

Dr. Butz was simply amazing! I had a really awful experience the previous visit. I highly recommend scheduling with her. As a Nurse Anesthetist I have found some practitioners have lost the ability to use proper discernment in diagnosis ever since Covid. This is very short sighted and lends to misdiagnosis and poor treatment. I felt heard by Dr. Butz and it's clear she is and will be able to diagnose appropriately.

The wait was kind of long, and the doctor admitted he gets chatty. However, this is the ONE office I called that did not insinuate I was a horrible person, because we were behind on some things, especially with Covid being prevalent. They are willing to take your child and give them the care they deserve!

I had to have a family member do my child's telehealth appointment and was beyond disgusted to hear my child's doctor was nothing but rude and unprofessional to her to the point that she refuses to do future appointments with that doctor. The doctor did not listen to anything I had my family member mention and failed to actually put effort into making my child's medication regime one that benefits her situation. I am embarrassed and disheartened and will be looking for another pediatric office to bring my child.
