As a board-certified dermatologist, Dr. Ort treats all conditions involving the skin. The most common conditions that we treat include acne, warts, moles, and cysts. Given Colorado's intense sun exposure, we frequently diagnose and treat skin cancer, including basal cell cancer, squamous cell cancer, and malignant melanoma.
As a board-certified dermatologist, Dr. Ort has advanced training and expertise in medical conditions of the skin. He specializes in the evaluation and treatment of acne, rosacea, warts, cysts, moles, eczema, psoriasis, rashes, skin cancer, and malignant melanoma. Dr. Ort is fellowship-trained in dermatologic surgery and frequently performs surgical removal of moles, growths, cysts, and skin cancers.

It's been a year and a half and I continue to enjoy excellent results and professional service with Dr Ort and staff. Very grateful for Dr Ort and staff - my job demands the services I receive, many of which can go terribly wrong if performed by poorly qualified people. I've learned that Dr Ort has mastered skills that many dermatologists lack or are just "beginning to hone", and he excels in delicate services (such as injectables) that require vast experience and a degree of "artistry".
It's clear he is a uniquely gifted practitioner. I couldn't be more pleased, and feel *extremely* relieved to have found someone I can trust with sensitive procedures. There is often a small wait period, but it's well worth it.

I left feeling worse than when I came in. I don't feel like my concerns were taken seriously, and ended up sitting through long winded explanations all the things that wouldn't work for me. The nurse assistant made me feel bad that I couldn't remember specific medications I was on over ten it 15 years ago. I'm just disappointed I waited so long for an expensive consultation, from which I didn't get any useful information.

As a health columnist who regularly covers skin treatments, I researched Denver area providers extensively before choosing Dr. Ort. There are a lot of impressive folks in CO, but Dr. Ort's credentials and media presence stood out. I found him charming and thorough, and my consultation was relaxed and well paced. He's lovely to talk to, and his staff are professional.
The initial wait for a consult was longer than I'd have liked (a month), but I have since had no problems getting regular appointments. I'm extremely pleased with the quality of services I've received - well worth the wait and research. He is meticulous, talented, errs on the side of caution and it is no surprise he is so highly reviewed.

Dr. Ort's dermatology practice is outstanding-the best one I've been to in the Denver area. The entire staff is kind and informative, and they're up-front about all costs and risks. In my own case, Dr. Ort is the only physician in over a decade who was able to provide effective treatment for a persistent skin problem. I would have saved thousands out of pocket if I'd found this office from the get-go.

I was told by this office a long time ago that they don't use ablative lasers anymore so I went elsewhere, and there I sat years later still saddled with a burn scar and an obliterated quality of life. (Insert the ever-humbling adage: "hindsight is 20/20"). Dr. Ort and his friendly staff administered frequent treatments until I was finally able to have surgery and excise the scar tissue.
Some lasers are helpful and some are simply too strong. Dr. Ort previously operated fully-ablative lasers, but he stopped because he said the side effects outweighed the benefits, regardless of skill. At hundreds a pop and only minutes per procedure, their popularity among clinics is no surprise. It takes not only a good doctor, but a GOOD PERSON to put their patients before profit.
He's also (of course) a great doctor, but a lot of great doctors are arrogant jerks so it's refreshing to get skill with amicable bedside manner. And it's not just Dr. Ort, but the staff is great too, especially Jean! She always lights up the room and makes getting stabbed in the face a little less sucky. I tend to ramble, but long story short: go here. PS- free samples of skin goodies when you check out!

Dr. Ort is extremely detail oriented and when someone is using a laser on your face, that's exactly the kind of doctor you want. Him and his staff were amazing before, during and after my CO2 laser treatment. He called me for several days after my treatment (even on the weekend) to check and see how I was recovering. Top notch doctor. Love my results and I will definitely use him again in the future for my skin needs. Highly recommend!

Dr Ort is the worst doctor I've ever had in my life. I came to see him for treatment of some very small veins in my nose. He burnt my face with his laser and discolored it noticablely and wasn't able to fix it. He also decided to zap more area than I told him too - ruining the texture of areas of my nose I didn't wan't to be treated. Avoid this man at all costs.
