Friendly front office staff, comfortable office environment, thorough and competent medical staff. Both of us have seen many a derm over the years for enjoying too much beach-time working on our "tans." We've been to many derms over the years and have never experienced the fine care we receive at your office.

I had a serious case of cellulitis on face, head, and neck. Dr. R chalked it up to anxiety and told me to use mild cleanser, moisturizer, and retinol at night and come back in 2-months if it persisted. Thank God I obtained a second opinion from a different MD who immediately prescribed 500 mg Keflex 4x per day. I most definitely would not recommend this office.
Very disappointing and quite scary had I followed her advice. Follow-up note in response to that by Torrey Pines Derm -- Second opinion and Keflex started less than 24 hours after visit to your office. Please take more care when evaluating patients.

Dr. Julie Omran is both a trustworthy, selfless, and empathetic healthcare practitioner that consistently showcases her talent and knowledge through her diligent work. She provides quality answers to the unknowing patient, and solutions that are specific to a wide range of cases. Her solution for my devastating battle with face acne was resolved within a year of consistent visitation, and I am thankful for her expertise as well as her good-hearted personality.
The office itself is warm and welcoming, and genuinely invites patients into a safe-space-like atmosphere. The staff I interacted with are always smiling and kind, putting their best foot forward. I hope others can find assistance with their personal battles in the realm of dermatology, just as I did with Dr. Julie Omran and the wonderful individuals working with her.

Just completed my initial visit with Dr Chang. He listened to all my concerns with complete interest and understanding and provided explanations for each one. We addressed some of the problems on the spot and set up a plan for future treatments. I would also like to say the office is very modern and clean and the staff is excellent. They greet you with smiles and understanding and are very nice to chat with. I am very satisfied so far and would highly recommend Dr Chang and Torrey Pines Dermatology.

I booked an appointment with this office for a general skin exam. I was on time, they were on time, everything went smoothly. The office atmosphere is relaxing and welcoming. I was seen by their female PA Christine-she was kind, yet thorough with the skin exam. Her male colleague Nathan was also in the patient room during the examination-he was polite, and helped make things run smoothly. The front desk people were very welcoming as well. No problems whatsoever-I would certainly recommend this dermatology office!

I like Dr. Richards and I think she and her staff do good work. I've had several procedures done now and the results have been good and the actual care of high quality. But there are a couple of things to be aware of. 1) In terms of scheduling and wait times to be seen, you need to be careful in selecting your appointment day and time. Unless I've scheduled for first thing in the morning, I've often ended up sitting for long spans in the waiting room (once for an hour and a half) or in an exam room waiting for the doctor. 2) Routine communications about test results sometimes are lacking.
Twice I've not been notified of skin biopsy results and only found out when I went in for other appointments - once 3 weeks and recently 7 weeks - later. Because they are a preferred provider for my insurance, they're conveniently located for me and finding a good dermatology practice can be challenging, I continue with this office. I can recommend this practice with qualifications.
They are: 1) For anything that requires the attention of Dr. Richards, schedule as early in the day as possible. 2) Ask specifically to be notified prior to coming in if the schedule is running significantly behind. 3) If you're not getting communication about something, then call and ask for what you need.
