Mia Bella Pediatrics was founded in 2006 by Dr. Suzy McNulty and Dr. Jennifer Stahl, and was modeled after an "old-fashioned" solo practice. Initially, the two doctors equally shared office hours, newborn rounding, and call, which allowed them to be fully committed to their patients as well as their own families.
We participate in most PPO health care plans offered in the area. We are not contracted with Covered California or Monarch HMO. It is advisable to notify your insurance carrier of your baby's arrival and that you have selected one of our pediatricians as your child's PCP (primary care physician) to ensure maximum coverage for health care costs.
At Mia Bella Pediatrics, we embrace FAMILY-CENTERED CARE, and strive to work TOGETHER as a team with our families to provide skilled and compassionate care that not only meets but exceeds the pediatric standard of care. In doing so, we respect each family's innate strengths, view the health care experience as an opportunity to build on these strengths, and support families in their care-giving and decision-making roles. We apply this approach in ALL situations, including care for our newborns in multiple birth settings.
With our telemedicine platform, Anytime Pediatrics, accessing quality healthcare for your child is convenient and from the comfort of your own home. Schedule your video appointment with your Mia Bella Pediatrician today!. How does a telemedine visit work? Using the camera on your smart phone, tablet or computer, telemedicine technology works a lot like FaceTime and Skype.

I hadn't been to this office since 2018, I moved back into town and I scheduled an apt at 9:20 because I already had history with this office. I arrived at 9 filled out necessary paperwork and informed the staff I had another apt at 11 numerous times. I finally left the office at 10:48, missed my apt at 11 which was 30 minutes away. So now I've wasted much more time and my son has missed even more school because of the lack of urgency and communication with this office. Needless to say I will not be returning to this office and I'm reminded why I stopped going in the first place.

Absolutely love them! Both my son's go to Dr. McNulty since the day they were born. My oldest is now 5. I feel the doctors are very honest and straight to the point, no beating around the bush, which I really like. McNulty is also up on the latest research and is able to provide well educated answers. The staff is very friendly and my kids always feel safe going there.
We have never had any billing problems. In fact they worked with me when we were in the process of changing insurance and we had no issues with the transition. I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone.

Dr. McNulty has been my son's pediatrician since the day he was born in 2007. We absolutely love her! She has always been caring and willing to spend as much time as needed to answer whatever questions we may have had. From the time he was rushed in for emergency abdominal surgery when he was two to just six months ago when she went out of her way to make sure my son received optimal care when he broke his arm at school on a Friday afternoon.
Even though the office was closed for its regular lunch hour, she headed back into the office and examined him thoroughly, gave us a referral to an orthopedic surgeon and an x-ray technician. She got on the phone with the surgeon personally and was able to get us an emergency appointment within two hours. She warned us that if we went to the ER we wouldn't likely see a surgeon because it was so late in the day before a weekend. (I can vouch for this because it actually happened to a friend of ours about two weeks later: their son went to the ER on Friday was sent home in a brace, saw a surgeon the following Tuesday and had to have his wrist rebroke and set.) So, my son broke his arm at school at 12:30 PM, we picked him up by 1:15 PM, Dr. McNulty saw us by 1:30PM, we were getting x-rays at 2:30PM, and we left the surgeon's office with our son in a cast by 5:15pm on a Friday afternoon.all because Dr. McNulty went out of her way to help. Regarding billing, we have NEVER had a problem in the 13yrs we've been clients at Mia Bella. The office staff is fantastic as well!

Very disappointed in Mia Bella Pediatrics and have since removed my children from their services. Was a patient from July 2016 - September 2018. In that period, I had to switch my primary doctor 3 times, they continue to rotate through staff there and the office does a terrible job about letting you know. I called to make appointments with my selected primary, they booked the appointment without mentioning they were no longer there and would just book me under McNulty, who would say they hadn't been with the practice for a few months.
I'm easy going and like all the Drs. there, but a heads up would have been nice when scheduling as some people are particular about their doctors. My last straw is how unprofessional they have been with the billing. My newest son was never checked for eligibility in the six visits I had with him. They never asked for insurance card, never checked that he was on the policy and let me continue to visit, I only found out when they had an issue billing my other son because like I said, his primary no longer worked there.
When I called about the charges they "discounted" it to a cash rate which was still a couple thousand dollars. When I asked why they never checked eligibility or let me know of an issue within the 30 - 45 days they kept the same script of it's a patients responsibility not theirs. Every other office asks for insurance when you check in, they never once did and are unwilling to accept responsibility for their error on billing. I am done dealing with this unprofessional office, it's a shame because I liked the Drs. McNulty and LaSalle.

Decent doctors here, but the billing department is staffed by clowns. Services provided by Mia Bella were 100% covered by my insurance, but Mia Bella's billing dept. couldn't wrap their heads around how to properly submit their claim for payment from my insurance. Instead they harassed me for months telling me I had to pay, even though I have written statements from my insurance company telling their office that they cannot bill me for those services.
Now they have passed the buck on to a debt collection agency rather than do their own jobs. Unless you have some pretty easy paint-by-numbers insurance, you should expect some problems with Mia Bella.
