Board certified plastic surgeons, certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgeons, and members of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons are required to do all surgery in a certified operating room. This requires all the appropriate monitoring equipment, safety standards, and training required by hospitals. Our operating room is certified by the Joint Commission. Dr. Van Raalte is able to enhance or refine areas of the face and neck for both women and men using surgical procedures and chemical treatments. Congenital deformities (birth defects) and abnormalities resulting from accidents or disease can be corrected as well. As we age, our face changes. Skin loses its elasticity and sags.
Dr. Van Raalte has been grafting or transferring your own fat for the rejuvenation of the face and hands for many years. Patients have been very pleased with the appearance, and the cost and recovery are usually much less than with other surgical procedures. Fat transfer is also used to enhance the lips and is a more natural way to add volume to cheeks or buttocks without the complications or unnatural look of implants.
About half of our patients will have eyelid surgery alone, and the other half in conjunction with a browlift to improve the upper eyelids or a facelift to help the lower eyelids look even better. The upper eyelids have the excess skin removed by an incision placed in the eyelid crease. The fat pockets may have extra fat trimmed.
We will listen to your concerns, do an examination, and carefully explain what we would recommend. Our goal is to not make you a different person, but have a nose that fits your face, but is improved. I do offer computer simulation, but emphasize it is a goal, for you to visualize, not a guarantee of result.

I went to visit Dr. Van Raalte because after cancer surgery my breasts were not the same size, resulting in me unable to buy any bra that would actually fit. I can now buy a bra and I am not cringing at my reflection in the mirror. Dr Van Raalte is the best and I highly recommend him to anyone needing surgery to correct imperfections. So glad I picked IPS and Dr Van Raalte who really cares about women.

Dr and the entire staff are knowledgable, professional, and friendly. This is the only office in town I trust for injectables, skin care, minor procedures, etc. I feel so comfortable knowing I have a board certified, experienced surgeon advising and performing my treatments. I swear by the Ayova skin care products and Penny in the spa is the absolute BEST.

I have known Dr. VanRaalte for years and referred several friends to him, all having great results. I recently had a procedure done by him myself. I was extremely happy with the time he spent with me explaining all my options and possible risks/complications as I had a complicated situation. He never promised any guarantees, but made his best recommendations and ultimately accepted my decisions.
I am very happy with my results and mostly appreciated his time and honesty. This isn't something I've experienced with other plastic surgeons. He knows how to read patients and how they will likely do based on their health and motivation. And he's very honest about that. Some patients don't take that well. But I for one, truly appreciate the honesty!
