I would give zero stars if I could. I used to like this place. They have always been very kind and taken good care of me. However the last time I went the dentist took forever to come see me. I wouldn't have mind waiting if I wouldn't have been treated so poorly. He literally glanced at my teeth and told me the hole on my tooth causing me pain isn't a cavity.
Then he completely brushed off the fact that my back tooth is cracked and causing me pain. I told him I wanted to know how much two implants and removing the cracked tooth would cost. He laughed like I couldn't afford it bc I have amerigroup insurance. I'm also pretty sure that's why he didn't care to look at my teeth. They then handed me a print out for a bridge instead of implants.
They also added an additional charge for $225 and when I asked what that was for she said "just in case he needs to drill the tooth." I went to another dentist and got quoted half the cost for two implants, removing the cracked tooth and a filling for the tooth that definitely has a cavity. It's sad they treat people so poorly based on their insurance.
If I couldn't afford it I wouldn't have asked for a printout so I could come back and have the work done. I waited 45 minutes to be seen for less than 5 minutes and never even got feedback on my X-ray.

Don't EVER come here my wife had two wisdom tooth's removed, for hours my wife was in pain and AMY told her to take another pill. AMY was very rude after my wife had surgery to get her wisdom teeth removed. AMY did not care about my wife as a patient and told her to take another pill after already taking two. We told her that she could overdose that way and she did not care and called the police.
I highly recommend you go somewhere else because this was very rude and disrespectful to a patient that just had surgery. On top of that after rolling her out the wheelchair she stated, get out the chair we didn't numb your legs WALK, and my wife was just under anesthesia. Very rude and does not care about their patients

Discourteous, Rude, Poor Service. Last week I had an appointment at 2pm, and waited more than 50 minutes for my dental exam. I had to demand that the front desk attendant inquire about when I would be seen. Because I was a new patient, I decided that I would give them the benefit of the doubt and understand that there are sometimes delays or changes in scheduling.
Today I arrived 8 minutes off schedule due to a work meeting that went longer than anticipated, only to learn that my appointment had been canceled. To add, I never received an email confirmation, text or call. I will not be returning to this dental office as a patient, as it seems there schedule is more important than there patients. People should not have to spend there money and insurance benefit for trashy service.

I have been a patient of Dr. Brown's for many years and I was very pleased with him and his work. My last two visits with him were very unpleasant and his attitude was awful. I'm thankful to Dr. Kellum for taking the time to make things right and his amazing "people skills". This office has changed and not for the better.

I have been coming to this dentist office ever since I was a little girl and I've noticed some serious staffing and scheduling issues. I was told that I needed X-rays before a cleaning and scheduled an appointment to do X-Rays and then a cleaning on the same day. When I got there I asked the front desk lady a question about insurance and she rudely answered.
I got my impressions taken for them to tell me I needed another appointment in order to receive my cleaning. This is very upsetting since I was told that I would be getting both today. Now I have to wait another month for a cleaning that I thought I would get today.

Today I had a root canal. Dr. Kellum was very nice he listened to my concerns about my anxiety. His assistant crystal was awesome as well. The office staff is great I've been in contact with jasmine she is very nice and helpful. I have been holding off this root canal for a year because of my anxiety but they have knew my concerns. This is a great place to come!

Dr Black and Meg were extremely helpful, courteous and friendly. I was welcomed by front office staff and very quickly was taken in for consultation with Dr Black. Meg was professional and very helpful. It was easy for me to be comfortable and feel very good about the appointment and to know what happens next. Morrison Dental definitely gets a 5-star professional rating!

Been a customer since 1984, Love the quality of work and Dental Staff in the back they're very professional, nice and explained all my profiles and breaks it down so I can be ready for my next service. However the service at the front desk makes me want to transfer my business elsewhere. Since the Quarantine was lifted, I would get notifications to make an appointment so I immediately calls them.
It took me months to get through to the phone lines, and when they answered I was put on hold for several mins and they never came back to the phone after 20mins had gone by, not once but each time I had called.

Review Do NOT go to this dentist. They do not give a rats as about their patients or their time. I scheduled an initial appointment for a cleaning after finally getting dental insurance. The appointment was scheduled a few weeks out, enough time for me to request time off work. The day of the appointment, as I was leaving work, I get a phone call to notify me that my appointment has been cancelled.
Apparently their "systems were down". They were not able to reschedule me at that time because of their technical problems. After some questioning to understand why I was being notified on such late notice, having lost the hours out of my paycheck, I was given zero reassurance as their systems had been down for days at that time. My appointment was at the end of the day.
Why hadn't I been notified sooner? The receptionist had no explanation. I called a few weeks later to try again. In this phone call I had to repeat all of my personal information and insurance info, and after getting through all my information, the receptionist said "oh, actually we have all this on file already." After I had already scrambled to collect my info to relay, since having given this info already I assumed they would have had it saved and was unprepared.
Waste of time. Then, day of the appointment, I get another phone call. They wanted me to know that I did not have dental insurance. This is not at all true. What followed was a series of phone calls back and forth of me trying to convince them that I had insurance and them trying to confirm this. At the end, they realIzed a clerical error on their part had caused this barrage of phone calls which caused me again to be pulled from work multiple times to deal with.
I was able to have my appointment that day. However, they had been fully prepared to cancel my appointment last minute again. Glad they sorted it out. The last appointment ended with me scheduling a next appointment 6 weeks later. Now 6 weeks have come and gone, I have taken off work again, walked in to the office for my appointment to be told AT THE DESK that the doc who is supposed to be drilling my cavities is off for the day!
The receptionist said that they had apparently tried to call me, which is not at all true because I had neither missed any calls or received any voicemails. At this point, I've been jerked around and missed unnecessary time at work multiple times. "Morrison dental can see you now" that is of course unless you've made an appointment. Then they're just going to cancel it last second. Extremely unprofessional. Find somewhere else who will respect your time.

I think it shows just how unprofessional the person in charge of responding to reviews must be as on all their 5 star Google reviews there is a response but anything less gets nothing. You would think if they cared they would try to look into what can be done better in three future rather than ignoring the people that obviously had a less than ideal experience.

1 star is too good for them. They are horrible with patients and they will try to reschedule you when you get there as they dont understand courtesy with calling patients. We have multiple issues with them but unfortunately they are closest dentist that my insurance allows. Issues include billing, treatment, customer service, and more. Well enough is enough. We will be reporting to our insurance and try to have them removed as well as reporting problems to the dental board.

I have been coming here for almost two years. Overall this dentist office is a good one. Staff is friendly and the wait is never really long. Everyone I've encountered has been very personable. For major services the cost process is kind of "car salesman like". On this day I was in for a cleaning and have found my hygienist I will request from now on. Yolanda still has the passion for service that many loose after awhile.
She was thorough and gave a cleaning like no other. Now she is not for those that are extra tender. : Even her polishing, she took her time and gave each tooth a great polishing.

I've been coming to Morrison Dental for years. So I decided to stop in for my routine cleaning. I was seen by Dr. Pfeifer and the best dentist ever. I came in and I signed in with the receptionist. The older receptionist has been at the office for years and she is always friendly and personable. Although I was early they were able to see me about 30 minutes early due to a cancelled appointment which was great. Nonetheless, If I had to wait the waiting room is peaceful.
The waiting room has a large fish tank with beautiful fish, magazines, a television, and light music. When I went to the back the dental hygienist talked to me throughout the cleaning and walked me through the process. She is awesome. Overall this dental office deserves an A. The office is clean, employees are personable and friendly, and the wait time isn't lengthy. Pitfalls, not many except that there isn't much parking.

I can't say anything about the doctors because i never actually saw one but the hygienist i had was unprofessional. I had just worked 5 nights in a row so no sleep yet. Apparently as a first time patient they tell you your appointment is actually a half hour earlier that it is "so you can fill out paperwork" that takes any normal human two minutes to fill out.
So after waiting for almost 45 minutes i finally get called back. I'm exhausted at this point (its 11 am). I answer the hygienist questions but don't give any more than that because I'm in no mod for conversation. I hate my teeth being touched to begin with so initally i flinch a little and the hygentist goes "what is your problem do you even want me to clean your teeth? ".
This instantly made me mad so I simply said "no not now". She them proceeds to say yeah i didn't think so you won't even talk to me or let me touch you and storms off down the hall like a child. Leaving me in there. Absolutely never going back.

I have been a patient at Morrison dental for a couple of years Ive had OK experiences, the dentist was ok. not much personality. i did like the hygienist very personable, the dental assistant forgot to take the cotton roll out of my mouth after a procedure, my mouth was numb i could feel something was in my mouth though. (below the side of my tongue) i was about to leave and i told her to double check and make sure nothing was in my mouth. and she did indeed find the cotton roll. i recently made an appointment for my 2 year old to have an appointment and the front desk person treated me like i was incompetent. i work in the medical field and i know some medical personnel treat you according to your insurance (state and government insurance, medicaid, wellcare etc. which is not right (. but she was rude and her customer skills lack. hopefully my daughters appointment run smoothly if not we will look elsewhere for our dental needs

The dentist was very skilled, but that's where the good ends here. You will never wait less than 1 hour unless you are the first one or two people there. Dr. Brown frequently had inappropriate conversations in front of me about personal matters as he was working on my dental work. I also learned (from a personal conversation he was having with the hygenist in front of me), that he had had a panic attack earlier in the day.and he WAS STILL working on patients.
That is not a good thing to be talking about in front of patients, nor is it very ethical in my opinion. To top it all off, the office assistant is defensive and all she does is "talk" to people about their uncalled for an inappropriate action, reactions, and responses. They also don't know how to file delta dental very well either. I've had many issues with that that other dentist haven't had.

First visit. Dr. recommended dentures. Went back with tooth pain. Again saw the same Dr. Let me just start by saying my husband has anxiety issues. The office knew this. The dentist was very harsh. Didn't understand why someone would recommend dentures. Not recalling he himself recommended this last visit. Not very personable. I understand that the office sees people who have problems or bad teeth.
This is their job. They are dentists. We didn't go there to be talked down to. Instead of explaining what he was talking about. The dentist was listing off things to the hygienist. He didn't ask if these are things my husband would be interested in. He was already planning these things that he knew nothing about. After the dentist left the room.
The hygienist apologized for him. My husband asked not to be seen by this dentist again. If it wasn't for the oral surgeon that my husband liked he wouldn't be going back.

I would give this place four stars because I had to wait for almost an hour for my appointment. However, I can't really complain because they got me in with one days notice as a new patient with an emergency. I was on vacation in Savannah and a filling broke. It started to hurt and I was sure I needed a root canal right away. I didn't want to let it get infected because ain't NOTHIN that hurts like a throbbing tooth when you're flying and the cabin pressure changes. Anyway, they took X-rays and I was all settled in for a root canal when they told me that I didn't need one.
They said that all I needed was a crown and that they would work with me on the cost since my insurance doesn't fully cover it until August (weird insurance). I didn't do it because it would have taken more than one appointment and I was far from home.you know, casting and creating a new crown and all of that. But I was EXTREMELY pleased with their honesty (I was ready to shell out the $800 or so for a root canal) The doctors with whom I spoke were both really kind and treated me like I had a brain. I trusted that and wish they were here in Tampa so I could stop looking for a good dentist.

My son has been going here for over 2 years now. The front desk staff is nice enough. I love that they have a seperate waiting room for kids with toys and books (we've always been the only ones in there) It makes waiting so much easier, not that we have ever waited long! If you have a child ask to see Cindy. She is a wonderful dental hygenist (we have liked everyone we have seen but she is just fantastic) and does magic tricks and puts kids to ease. My son always LOVES going to the dentist.
