Psychological testing sounds intimidating, but it's actually designed to help you. Psychological testing is like a medical test. If you, or someone you know, are presenting with symptoms, a medical doctor may order an X-ray or a blood test to help them understand what might be causing those symptoms, and the results of the test help the doctor develop a treatment plan.

PRA clinicians are only licensed to practice in the state of Illinois. When doing telehealth with your clinician you agree to be within the state of Illinois. If you are not in Illinois during the time of your appointment you will notify the clinician at the start of your appointment to determine medical necessity to continue the appointment or to reschedule when you will be in Illinois. In addition, in order for telehealth session to occur, you must be in a private location with no other persons around.
Completed new patient paperwork is required at the initial appointment for EACH PRA clinician that you see. Our paperwork serves as consent to treatment and there must be one on file for each clinician you see at PRA. All forms to be completed for your initial appointment are available below. It's extremely difficult to get ahold of the front desk to schedule or change an appointment - it almost always goes to voicemail, and these aren't even addressed most of the time. I definitely understand being busy and getting things done in the office, but I've known plenty of other places that are able to balance both important phone calls from patients and other duties.
It's extremely frustrating, as there was something I had to change with my appointment last minute and I couldn't get on the phone for 2 hours. Genuinely considering switching places if I'm not even able to talk to the office/my psych.
