Stay away! If a patient writes a bad review they turn it around on the patient. Just look. I had a TERRIBLE experience with "Dr. W" he was extremely abrasive and rude. Not at all gentle and would jerk my head to move it. I have NEVER had an experience such as this. Writing anonymously as the "Dr." Himself will personally attack you on social media platforms.

It's rather sickening how disturbed this person acts. Take my word or don't but I have made it very clear to colleagues, friends and family that this place should not be in business. I have reported him to LARA.

Awesome Doctor with professional and friendly staff. I am EXTREMELY happy with the results of the Lasik preformed by Dr. Weingarten several years ago. My vision is still 20/20 after more than 10 years. Prior to my Lasik, I was wearing glasses and found Rochester Eye Care to have a huge selection of frames at reasonable prices. I highly recommend Dr. Weingarten and his staff to anyone looking for quality eye care.

Great practice. Very modern and thorough. Just switching doctors after mine retired after 24 years and I'm very happy with the switch. My wife has been going here for years. Felt very COVID safe.

What a disappointment. My daughter went here and she was appalled by the abrupt bedside manner of the dr. She told them she didn't want a contact exam, and yet they charged her anyway. They completely messed up her prescription. They asked for a copy of her previous prescription. why do they need this?l Well we figured that out when we had her re-examined by our previous eye dr.

We recently moved to the area, but after this experience we are gladly making the drive to our old eye dr. I talked to the office manager and she said she would call us back, which she never did. My daughter was so upset by the treatment of the dr she would have rather paid for another appt by herself rather than return. He upped her prescription by 2 points! Crazy.

I walked in wanting to set up an appointment due to this specific physician was offered through my insurance. The secretary denied me all services, she stated there were no appointments til 2 months from now when it states walk-ins are welcome. However, she stated that she did not know what type of plan I was covered under w/ BCBS, acted as if she was searching me and stated I couldn't be found. ALL LIES!

What kind of secretary does that. If the secretary sucks, most likely the doctor is the same. Find you another secretary, she is losing your potential clientele and probably current.

Very unprofessional staff that does not follow basic covid guidelines. I witnessed 2 of the staff not wearing masks, they did not sanitize the desk where you try on and order glasses between patients and they only take temperatures of the patient going back to get the exam. If you want to increase your chances of getting covid, this is the place for you.

Great service and more importantly great glasses! I never take it for granted that my lenses will be perfect but Rochester Eye Care nailed it. From ordering frames and lenses through picking them up a week later the entire experience was very professional. Tammi assisted me and she really knows her industry. I work with computers and I was convinced that I needed close up lenses, she recommended computer lenses and I am so happy that I took her advice. Worked all day and no squinting or raising and lowering my head to see through my progressive lenses. Great experience overall and very happy with my glasses.

I picked Dr. Weingarten randomly. I went in thinking I needed new glasses. When he told me I had cataracts I got upset. He told me not to worry, that he could fix it And he did. The office staff is friendly and efficient. They all made what was a scary experience for me tolerable. Thank you Miss Patty. You are a gem.

My family and I have been going to Rochester Eye Care for many, many years. We are treated like family. In addition, the staff is very helpful when picking out glasses.they give you their expert opinion and I value that! I have and will continue to recommend folks to trust their eyes to these fine people!

My favorite optometrist. Been using their services way back when they were housed in the Crittenton Hospital building. Never disappointed with any aspect. I recommend them.

I owe much thanks to its staff for fixing my very broken up set of reading glasses. Thanks ladies and gentlemen.

Dr. Weingarten was very accommodating and fit me into his schedule for my eye emergency. Jodi took the time to call two different pharmacies to ensure they had my eye drop prescription in stock. I have had 5 appointments in the last 3 weeks. The staff is courteous and professional and I highly recommend Dr. Weingarten and his staff.

Rochester eye care is great! Everyone has always been so nice and helpful. Last year I got a new pair of glasses and the lenses kept falling out. I took them back 7 months later and they fixed them for free! (Last eye Dr I went to I had to jump through hoops to get them to repair my lenses that THEY scratched and they still never fixed them). I have even moved out of Rochester and I will continue to drive there because if how nice everyone is.

All 5 of our family had eye exams at Rochester Eye care. The doctor was ok, but very aloof, hardly asked any questions. Their billing practices are very abnormal, we all had the same exam including photos of the eyes, but only 2 had our eyes dilated.4 billed were for the copay of $10 and 1 was billed for $100 more. When we called to ask why the difference, everyone we talked to was rude and unhelpful.

We finally paid the bill and told them we wouldn't be coming back and they were so shocked. Do not recommend this establishment. 05/30/2017 - response to doctor reply. I'm actually not a diabetic, my wife is, and we both had the same exam. The point is the complete lack of customer service, we still aren't coming back.

I bought my wife LASIK two years ago for her birthday - Everything went perfectly - the doctor said everything was healing nicely in all her check up appointments. Even at the one year check up everything was great. She could see perfectly and had no issues. A few months later her vision became slightly blurred at night and difficult to see longer distances.

She went to see her normal optometrist and he said she needed glasses. She came back to Rochester Eye Care for a follow up and to ask what happened. He agreed she needed LASIK - that he only offered a one year warranty and if she wanted LASIK done again he'd offer it at half price. $2500 wasted! When you're selecting a LASIK provider I strongly encourage you to pick a doctor that stands by their product for life or at least longer than a year. I feel like we just bought a new car and hit the 100,001 mile mark so the warranty is voided. WOW.

The staff there were friendly, however, Dr. Weingarten had NO personality. (I work in the medical field; if I interacted with my patients the way he acted with me, I would not have a job!). He performed the eye exam (seemingly) thoroughly, but I literally felt uncomfortable the whole time. It was almost like he was upset that I was there - like I was interrupting something else he'd rather be doing. I was SO uncomfortable that I took the eyeglass prescription and I'm going to have it filled somewhere else. I'm NOT going back there.

My mother had a great experience as a patient of Dr. Weingarten. Prior to seeing him, she had a routine eye exam with no remarkable results in the last 6 months at another eye care center; however, she knew something was wrong. She found Dr. Weingarten online and he diagnosed her with cataracts and promptly identified a treatment plan that worked best for her.

One month after her cataract surgeries and she can see better than she did prior to getting glasses--he had a great bedside manner and was a very calming presence. As someone who works in the medical industry, I would definitely suggest Dr. Weingarten to other family and friends in the future, thank you!

I began going to Rochester Eye Care when I lived in Dryden. 5 years ago I moved to Lexington (18 miles north of Port Huron) and I still go to Dr. Weingarten. (He's that good!) I receive such good personal service and everyone on staff truly makes me feel at home. They all seem to care about me and my family (my goldens) and ask about them every time I come in (which is usually only 1 time a year)!

I never feel rushed and my wait time is minimal. I was happy to read the review from the person who switched from contacts to laser surgery. That's what I'm going to try next! Thank you!
