The staff was very unprofessional. I was kept waiting for much longer than expected. The staff also seemed to have no idea what they were doing and why I was there. After the whole ordeal I ended up cancelling my appointment to which the staff didn't seem to even care about the loss of business. I would not recommend booking an appointment with this establishment if this is their level of professionalism.

Absolutely terrible. Even if your doctor refers you to this terrible establishment find another doctor! The manager is extremely rude and disrespectful. STAY AWAY!

Office was nice and clean. I was losing hairs from my epileptologist wanted me to see a derm to see if it was the new med causing hair loss. This doctor wouldn't even let me finish my sentence before he told me that it wasn't and I was just losing my hair, and only the $2500 (around) plasma shots would help if I did it quickly. Saw 2 other doctors since who have told me the exact opposite. Terrible "bedside" manner! Highly recommend not seeing Dr. Marakawa. His impressive resume doesn't come with any common sense.

I'd like to thank the staff at Somerset Skin Centre for their great treatment of my Dermatology emergency. I developed a skin condition over the weekend and woke up on Monday to find it had worsened and was unbearable. I immediately called this office since they have helped me so much in the past. I described the condition to the office manager and she helped me get an appointment right away!

I was relieved that they took my situation seriously and were able to give me treatment the same day and got my problem under control by the next day. Thank you Dr Murakawa and Rebecca for going above and beyond to ensure my problem was solved.

Patients beware- The office manager Rebecca is a disrespectful nightmare to work with. My mom checked in. They took her insurance that she thought was correct, checked out without any issue. No Bill was mailed. No balance discussed for 6 weeks- She called my mom and yelled at her, as she very quickly did to me when I called to find out if there was a balance.

And she hung up on me before giving me any payment amount due. Only telling me with full horrific attitude that my mother was dishonest- for having the wrong insurance - that is the same as her friends that referred her to the office, but they don't accept anymore, yeah confusing- never mailing or giving my mom a bill amount or an opportunity to pay anything. Rebecca was only interested in demonizing and not listening to anything we had to say.

Do not go to this office. Read the other reviews and find an office that can at least have the decency to verify your insurance, discuss billing options if there was an error and be respectful.

What a nightmare, the billing manager is nasty, rude and demeaning. They overcharged me and they were not willing to correct the bill. In addition I asked them specifically not to send the biopsy to a lab and they did and now the lab is trying to collect $300. 8 minutes of work $1200 and a Dr. did not even provide the services. I offered to settle and they did not even consider the offer at 50%.

Stay away, overpriced and misleading. Call your Regular Dr. and they will remove the skin tags for 20% the cost. I made the mistake of calling Somerset. Please don't make the same mistake.

Issues scheduling, doctor didn't mention my procedure was for melanoma before, no consultation, no heads up. communication was an issue. after that bills went to incorrect address, no follow up before sending bill to collections. missing the 'soul' or the 'human' part of patient care, would not recommend

Dr. is very nice and knowledgeable. NP who works under him is also amazing but their billing department is extremely rude. There is no upfront warning that you are charged for an office visit as if you are seeing doctor when only seeing NP ($174 - which I think is ridiculous when you are talking about 5 min pt contact time). I had no idea this follow-up office visit would be this expensive. Moreover, my sister was with me and she was not treated.just asked a question and she was still charged for this visit. They did not give me time of day regarding negotiations/blatantly said I clearly don't know anything about medical billing. Very rude, will not recommend due to this.

Went in for a check up and to have a few moles checked out, first visit to a dermatologist in years. Dr. Murakawa spotted mole I hadn't noticed on my chest that turned out to be early stage melanoma which he handled removing himself. Such an early diagnosis at the minimum saved me immense hardship and could have saved my life. I would agree that Dr. Murakawa works quickly but this does not seem to be at the expense of effectiveness or quality. Would recommend.

The front desk people are generally always rude except for 2 staff members. Even when calling for a general question or concern, they are very rude and condescending. However I will give a 5/5 to the medical staff. The medical staff is very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. I just wish their positivity was present throughout all staff. Also, If you bother to call and speak to the office manager, keep your expectations low. She'll listen to your experience, but is quick to defend the workers despite your experience.
