There are a variety of reasons why you may need to see a foot doctor. The musculoskeletal system of the feet, ankles, and lower legs involve many different parts that have to work together in unison to create smooth and pain-free movement. If any of these parts are not functioning properly, the whole system can suffer!
Let me tell you a little about myself. I graduated from Franklin & Marshall College in 1979, attended the PA College of Podiatric Medicine/Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine from 1979-1983 and began my private practice in Millersville in the Millersville Center as a solo practitioner. Four children and 11 years later, I re-located to 882 Millersville Road in Lancaster. In 2002 I acquired an office in Willow Street, PA to serve the needs of southern Lancaster County. 2020 marks my 37th year in practice.
Depending on the location, whether it is the heel, arch or ball of the foot, the treatment plan will vary. At Henderson Podiatry, our goal is to treat each patient CONSERVATIVELY before any surgical intervention is discussed. Symptoms include stiffness of joints (especially in the morning), limitation of joint movement, pain, tenderness, redness, rashes, and/or swelling in the joints.
Heel pain is unpleasant and can prevent you from enjoying your favorite activities. This is the most common condition we treat at Henderson Podiatry. There are many options that can resolve this including orthotics, shoe modifications, and MLS laser therapy. We can create a customized plan for each patient.

Dr. Patterson was great! Took lots of time and explained things clearly. I wanted to find a doctor that could help with my husband's feet issues. He came home with the same, "I like her!" So, that's 2 for 2! Actually saw another podiatrist in the Lancaster area and Dr. Patterson was by far much better!

I go to a podiatrist to get my toenails trimmed. The last podiatrist I had nicked my toes quite a few times when I got them trimmed on quite a few occasions so-with being pre-diabetic I was looking for a new podiatrist. So after reading some information on Dr. Henderson (that she was gentle when getting your toenails trimmed) I decided to try her at Henderson Podiatry.
The staff is very welcoming, helpful, and professional. The office and waiting area are both clean and neat. I arrive early and am taken back to the exam room early. She not only has trimmed my nails but has diagnosed my feet with mild neuropathy and found that my feet turned out when I walk. She also suggested I buy some orthotics to replace the flimsy ones that came with my shoes-which she happened to sell at her practice-so I did.
The assistant cut them to size for me. I am very happy with the good care my feet are receiving from Dr. Henderson. She is a warm and caring doctor who makes you feel at home. I am so glad to have found her to be my doctor.

Yesterday was my first visit to a podiatrist, I selected this practice after reviewing the doctor's credentials, positive patient reviews and ease of access. I was seen by Dr. Patterson for two foot issues and found her to be an excellent listener and communicator. After conducting a thorough consultation and examination of both feet, I saw Lindsay who took some x-rays.
She has a warm personality and worked very safely and efficiently. After reviewing the films with me, Dr. Patterson suggested a cortisone shot. She's very skilled with injections, I had little discomfort during and afterwards and surprisingly, I already have some relief of pain and inflammation that's been nagging at me for months. Check-in and check-out with Lynn was friendly and quick without feeling rushed.
My experience with Henderson Podiatry was nothing but positive, the office is very clean, has a welcoming feel and the entire staff is kind, professional and work well as a team!

Injured both big toes from years of soccer and nails never grew back normal and were infected with fungus. After years of over the counter solutions I reached out to Henderson when I noticed online they had the laser treatment option which is much better than the enduring process of oral meds and harder on the Liver. After 2 laser treatments both big toe nails are fully clear of fungus and I couldn't be happier.
Process was super simple and painless. Obviously results can vary, but for me it was a huge success in only 2 months for a nominal expense. I highly recommend the laser treatment and Henderson Podiatry

We have been very pleased with the professional service provided to us by all the staff we interacted with during our visits. Dr. Waters has been very informative, clearly reviewed what to expect in preparation for my foot surgery as well as expected restrictions for my recovery. She is easy to communicate with and has been very responsive to any question or concern. Although my recent surgery is my first experience with any podiatrist, I would highly recommend Dr. Waters and have appreciated her sweet & calm personality.
