I saw Dr. Walter twice when he was with Aboutskin Dermatology for a couple skin conditions. For one of my conditions he issued me a medicine which he did not monitor or consider the side effects of. For my other condition, he gave me no answer for what it was the first time, and the second time, he referred me to an allergist. The allergist told me it was not an allergy and referred me back to a dermatologist.
It took me weeks of calling Aboutskin and them telling me they would call and get back to me with an answer about my condition, a month went by, and by then Dr. Walter had left Aboutskin Dermatology. They then said they couldn't help me unless I went in and paid to see a new dermatologist. I said no, and they referred me to Dr. Walter's new office with Hill Center Dermatology, and Hill Center informed me that he would not be starting with them for another month, so I had to wait to contact him.
After a month I called and explained my situation again to Hill Center, and they tried to make me set up another appointment to speak with Dr. Walter for this issue that should've been addressed the first two times I saw him. I told them I'd rather speak with him over the phone about what was going on because I had already seen him for this issue twice.
They told me he would give me a call, and he never called me. I gave him two stars because he did help me find a good facial and skin moisturizer and gave me some good tips, but be careful because some of these dermatologists care more about the money than helping you.

Very few people within the medical industry/business actually care, do what they can for you, and know what they're talking about. I can honestly say that Hill Center is one of very few places that holds people that have all three of those qualities. Of course, they have had to do some digging for certain things, but that doesn't mean that they haven't done a good job; as no one has all the answers to anything. Dr.
Hill (unfortunately now retired), Candice, Bailey, and Katie at the front desk are all incredible. You honestly cannot go wrong with any of them. Although expensive (as anything is when you need medical help), it is far more important to go to someone who knows what they're doing, doesn't treat you poorly, and cares about their patients.

Dr. Hill repeatedly misdiagnosed my Vitiligo. Initially, I went in because I was concerned about a mole on my back that had a white ring around it which I now know is Halo nevi - nevi with an depigmented circle around it, usually on the trunk which are about 10x more common in vitiligo patients than in the general population. He thought it was really cool, showed his assistant, but said it was nothing to worry about.
The next time I went in it was because I had patches of skin with no pigment (in my arm pits, around my face, in my elbows - all common with Vitiligo). He flat out told me it was not Vitiligo. He took some scrapping of the skin which he apparently looked at under a scope and told it was a fungal infection (Tinea Versicolor - which occurs mainly in hot/humid climates and on oily skin, not CO with dry skin) and prescribed anti fungals and topical treatment.
It would not go away. I saw him again. He again stated that it was not Vitiligo and made a joke that I was not like Michael Jackson. Prescribed more. It would not go away and was spreading. I asked my physician during a routine physical to run an ANA test to see if I had an auto-immune disease (like Vitiligo) it came back positive. I saw a different dermatologist who took one look at me and said I had Vitiligo, but took a skin biopsy which she sent to a lab to verify. I have since seen one of the few experts on Vitiligo in the country out in Aurora who also confirmed my diagnosis.

From start to finish, a great experience. Was greeted by Tram who collected the details and helped prep me for my visit with the doc-super-friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable, she immediately put me at ease. Then when I met the PA, Greg, it was the same experience with him: welcoming, extremely knowledgeable, patient, and truly engaged in the visit.
It's easy to feel like a number at some providers' offices, but not the case here at all. Greg both diagnosed some minor skin issues I was experiencing that didn't need immediate attention, as well as attended to a treatment/removal of a small blood vessel thing near my eye-mostly just vanity for me-and it was resolved quickly and completely. Boom.
Highly recommend contacting Hill Center for any dermo-related issues, even if you're not sure whatever's ailing you IS an issue (like me). In my experience, it was a tailored, personal visit; a quick in-and-out; and a small insurance copay upfront with no surprises.

Jan 14. Saw a male dermatologist, very friendly. But not very good. I have some pimple like things on my face, he explained what they might be, touched them up bit, didn't help, i have a small bump, he put something on it but it didn't work. So he didn't do anything for me. But visit with me. I don't think he is worth the money I am sure he has charged my insurance for.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. The "doctors" here are nothing but con artist. Insisting that I have over 600 dollars of unnecessary (as stated by the FDA) lab work done at their third party site, which they probably make money on too, before they will release my medication but after they take your money. No one here has ever spent more then two to three minutes with me or on my care.
More concerned about peddling advertised products in their lobby then your health. You can go here if you want but don't cry to me when you are out hundreds of dollars but nothing has been done for you. I warned you.

I have been going to Dr Hill & his team in Golden for a decade or more and can't speak highly enough of his professionalism, care and upbeat and sunny manner. An excellent doctor. thorough and always a tonic every time I visit for a check up. I thoroughly recommended Dr Hill and the Hill Center for Dermatology.
