I got fillers with Dr. Brozowski. She was brusque and rough and I got a mother of a black eye. When I went back in to get it looked at, the women at the front desk were really shocked by my appearance -- the doctor just said, "oh you bruise easily." She also suggested I get filler in the "11's" between my eyebrows. She didn't mention any risk. Since she's an MD I said yes and was horrified later on to discover this is a very high risk area and many injectors will not inject there.

Dr Brozowski burned my face with a laser and permanently scarred me. She never called me to discuss or follow up on my outcome or experience. While her staff are kind, responsive people, they can not make up for her negligence or seeming lack of compassion or interest in her clients. Almost 2 years later the scar is visible and there forever.

Seeing Dr. Brozowski was a terrible experience all around. I am still not happy with my results, but after two return trips to try to fix it, I can not stomach returning to that office. Her staff were the only good part of my experience. I went to her on the recommendation of a friend, but I really wish I had checked Yelp first. She is very arrogant, would not stop talking, and didn't seem to be put off at all that I was having discomfort. when I interrupted her ask a question, she looked at me like I had slapped her, then said 'as I was saying.' and continued to talk - not answering my question. I really could keep going on. I can not recommend strongly enough to go somewhere else.

Not too impressed. If she is an artist then why work so quick and careless. She treated me years ago but have seen better more proficient plastic surgeons then her. She seemed so rushed and impatient. When you do infections, you use precision and take your time. She did one quick injection and then left the room. It's like I was a number not a person. Will not recommend Dr. Christine B to anyone!

This woman is absolutely the worst clinician I have EVER encountered. She shows no evidence of any kind of empathy for patients, is rude and abrupt and charges twice as much for the same(or less effective) service that is available elsewhere in Berkeley. Her office staff is unfriendly and equally rude. I wish I could give her minus stars for her poor treatment of me as a patient. I had lower leg laser treatment from her, which she stopped before she reached the area of my knee, and she wanted another $600+ to continue another two inches!

The office is fine, the doctor is not. I went to her looking for a Botox doctor and she tried to upsell like crazy. Five minutes into the appointment immediately started pointing out areas on my face that "looked manly" in her words and she could "fix that". I really didn't need thousands of dollars worth of fillers and Botox, but she didn't make me feel very good about myself.
Her Botox didn't last long, I'm not sure if it just wasn't injected in the right areas or if she went light on the amount, but she's not inexpensive by any means. She's about double what I've paid elsewhere. And her bedside manner is just horrible. Don't criticize your patients, they are how you stay in business.
I wasn't even asking for her opinion on a full facial reconstruction, I just needed Botox at the time. My suggestion, there are many many providers in the area, if you want someone to critique everything about you and make you question yourself, while paying way more than necessary, then go to her. Otherwise, spend a little more time doing your homework and you will probably be much happier in the end.

When you call her office and schedule botox, you are told that she charges by zone, not amount. I was super excited to have the peace of mind of knowing exactly what I was spending in advance. HOWEVER, during my appointment, I told her what I usually had done and my expectations, but I could tell she had injected very little (based on my experience).
A few weeks later, unsurprising, I saw very little results, so went in for a touch-up. She was very rude, saying I hadn't listened to her during the first appointment and that her patients in Northern California prefer the natural look, leaving a lot of lines and movement. All my botox has been done in Northern California, so I am not sure who her clients are, but why would anyone pay for botox that didn't want to see results?
In the end, she did the touch-up but walked out of the room without saying good-bye. I am bummed because her office is so close to my house and her staff was AMAZING. Now I know why she charges by zone and not amount. I ALSO want to add that during my first appointment, I had talked to her about other procedures. She said that smart lipo (under the chin) would tighten everything up including skin, HOWEVER as soon as she walked out, I was going over options and pricing with her assistant (who was lovely) about smart lipo. AND, the assistant said that actually, "smart lipo will not tighten and that it really only is a good choice for older people who are already used to creping" because it leaves so much hanging wrinkly skin.
Their conflicting comments is a huge red flag. Also, my instinct was to trust the receptionist who had nothing to lose or gain and just sees the patients coming in and out. I couldn't really get a feel for if any of the other procedures truly work. The only thing that I know works is botox, and that's the thing, she wanted to skimp on. :(

If I could give negative stars I would. I would bet that she has no training as she disfigures me with filler and it's now cost me a couple thousand to get it fixed and sadly till what she did dissolves they will not be able to get it looking great. there is a reason she does not give you a mirror. I am in SV Idaho and beware she has NO clue. Someone actually should report her.

If I could give this Dr. negative stars I would. My story started When I got my fillers done. It was extremely painful and to top it they didn't last. The coolsculpting treatments had very poor results as well. I agreed with the other reviews that this place is all about the money. Think about it before you make an appt. I changed places and when I got my new fillers I had NO pain at all.

I recently had 1 syringe of Radiesse dermal filler for hand rejuvenation and the results were not only AMAZING they were almost immediate. I am told that Radiesse creates instant rejuvenation in the hands by creating natural, subtle volume and the bonus is that the formula kickstarts a resurgence in collagen production. I couldn't stop looking at my hands. Dr. Brozowski is an expert injector and I experience minimal pain. So, ladies if your hands are making you look older than your face then it's time to schedule an appointment with Dr. Brozowski.

I also had a negative experience with poor results and I agree that she is more focus on making money. I had 10 sessions of laser treatment, she said the results were great. When i told her I did not see big improvements she said it was due to my dark complexity. Why didn't she say that in the first place? Once I arrived 5 min late to my appt and she did not take me. At another time, I had to wait 10 min for my appointment, unfair. Also, treatments are more expensive than other places.

I had no idea how bad Dr. Brozowski was until I went to another practitioner. She always wants to talk about money, rushes through procedures, and, as it turns out, is not surprisingly a lot less thorough than what I've experienced since then. She's not "ultra high end" because she's good; it is, I truly believe, simply because she is greedy and motivated more by money than anything else. Just let Yelp guide you. Find someone with all 5 stars and pay close attention to the poor reviews for this one. There's a reason for them!

I don't understand why anyone who reads all these reviews would still consider her! This review is for NEGATIVE 2 MILLION stars. I went to her for laser hair removal and she burned me so bad! I had previously had this procedure done in San Francisco and it was great! However, the commute plus parking and toll was pretty expensive so I went to her.
I wasn't smart and didn't read any reviews. Due to the mild redness I had experienced at the other location, I decided to book during my lunch break. Big mistake because this wanna be doctor turned that setting so high that my face bubbled up and scared pretty bad. I had brown scab all over my face, and it took 2 months for my face to heal. It was truly terrible. She said she HAD to be that aggressive if I wanted results, which is a lie. Please don't go to her for any kind of service!

I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Brozowski's skill with a needle full of filler or Botox. I've received both several times before but never from her until recently. My face looks the best it ever has thanks to her critical eye and gentle hand. Both Dr. Brozowski and her office staff are efficient, welcoming and nice. Appointments start on time. Prices are equivocal to other area practices. I see that no one has reviewed Dr. Brozowski for years, so figured it was time to drop in and give Yelp an update. My experience was as good as it gets.

Addendum: I ended up going to another dermatologist. My skin needed help asap and I was able to get it from Marie Jhin in San Francisco. I did like the microderm I got, but looking back, I'm like, um, why did you let me know suffer when another doctor got me Rx the same day? I have to agree with Rachel F. about upselling your dead neighbor's aunt.
I also have to add when I got the microderm, they mentioned some cool vitamin-C serum that would be perfect to use after the procedure. I said I probably couldn't afford it now. You'd think they'd let me sample a little bit to see how great it was (considering I just dropped some $ on the microderm), but instead the woman's face fell as she put the box back under the counter and said, "Well.maybe next time, then." I remember thinking, wow, my skin feels great but I sure do feel like some broke piece of ish. Sort of counteracted the whole beauty idea, ya know?

I had her as a GP and not as a dermatologist based on recommendations from the Berkeley Planning Network site. Don't believe everything you read. This was in 2003. Went in with constipation and bloating and went to see her for what ended up to be a 10 minute "conversation" about how I needed to diet and eat more apples. She was pretty keen though on having me buy the skin care lines she sold directly out of her office. WTF?
Left feeling like a moron went to go get a second opinion by switching primary physicians. Ended up that my birth control had failed. And I had to wait another 3 weeks because of HMO rules and had to work that shit out. Seriously, gross negligence which combined with arrogance makes for a big can of woop-ass.

Where is the hell is the negative stars button!? I saw her as a GP and she was the worst. I though how wonderful it would be to have someone who did both western and eastern med (as she claims) but what that really means is she brings someone into the office once a week for eastern medicine and charges you extra (way above market price). I was having anxiety over a year regarding a short term event.
She gave me meds that didn't work and made me gain 50 lbs in 3 months! Then she blamed ME for the weight gain and added a schizophrenia medication (WHAT THE HELL) that was later recalled because it killed people with a chronic condition that I also have. (DID we read the chart and warnings?!) She was rude, mean, unsympathetic and hateful-- RUN AWAY NOW!

Let me state up front that I'm reviewing Dr. Brozowski NOT for her general practice but her cosmetic services. I've been going to her for about 5 years and, for the past 3 or so, have seen her exclusively for cosmetic services to help me. well, you know. I won't expose myself by saying WHICH services I'm currently getting but I will say that if you are committed to taking care of your skin, Dr. Brozowski will help you get onto a schedule of services that will really help you and, quite possibly, avoid ever having to take more drastic measures, if ya know what I mean. She's also personable, professional and, best of all, actually remembers YOU, unlike most white coats who seem to experience amnesia from visit to visit.
