The Medical side is absolutely fantastic, and I have no complaints about them at all. They should get 5 stars. I wish I could give it to them, but my experience with their billing means this stays. **Updating in June (surgery was in January. Billing problem finally resolved after I alerted the BBB and had *them* call the company for me. The billing company (3rd party) is researching the underlying problem to make sure that it doesn't happen again to anyone else.

They had two bills under two variations of my name, but only one showed when they pulled up my files. I'm leaving my poor rating because other people should be warned about the other issues I had with getting in touch with billing to get this fixed.** The billing department is an entirely different story from the medical side (and now I know it is a different company they hired).

I understand the new law requiring billing transparency and that the move to requiring larger down payments because of higher deductibles is an industry-wide phenomenon. But I shouldn't have to deal with multiple phone calls about it with people who obviously are not putting notes in my file, and at no time should I feel like I'm arguing over the price of a used car when I am in great pain and need surgery.

I shouldn't have to find out three days before my surgery that the Surgicenter is part of chain, and they are not part of Saint Luke's hospital billing system - despite the name. And I certainly shouldn't have to keep calling their billing department (through multiple numbers) and never reaching anyone. I made one voice mail message to a person's mailbox that was never returned by anyone with a Surgicenter number.

Now I am being told by computer that the person at the extension (no identification) is not available and sent directly to voice mail. I seems that am going to have to travel there in person, just to set up a basic payment arraignment. I don't know what the problem with the billing office is, but it desperately needs to be fixed. *I have made 4 different payment arraignments with the billing department (and the previous ones were found in my file when we made the 4th).

The payments have started and I have email receipt. I just received a letter from a debt collections agency. I called the Surgicenter billing office immediately twice, the first time the phone was disconnected before I talked to a person, and the second went directly to voice mail. I am downgrading my rating to one star because no matter how good the staff is, you don't mess with people's money.

It's a primary rule of doing business. I am very, very angry. I have received yet another statement saying I do not have a payment arrangement from the billing office, and it is now May. My surgery was back in January. And of course I got the answering machine when I called about it. I wish there was a way to give negative stars.

What an excellent place to have Surgery. Everyone treated me like family and put me at ease throughout the entire process. I was very nervous to be there without my support system from home, however their comfort and wonderful bedside manner made up for all of that. They all took the time to talk with me and let me know that I was going to be OK. Thank you to the individual who checked me in.

My pre-operative Nurse Karen and my post operative Nurse Jamie was outstanding! My Anesthesia Physician, Jonah, was so comforting and made sure that I was well taken care of. This was the first operation that I didn't have nausea after waking up, thanks to him! Jamie, thank you making me laugh and taking such great care of me in recovery. You are an outstanding Nurse!

My Physician, Crystal Taylor DO, even called me at home the evening after my surgery to make sure I was doing ok. All of your efforts did not go unnoticed! Thank you! --Lynn Waller

I have nothing but nice things to say! From the front desk staff, to the doctors and nurses, everyone was so nice and accommodating! With COVID and not being able to have a support person with you in preop, the nurses and Anesthesiologist made me feel so at ease and in great hands!

I was scheduled for surgery here and was very apprehensive. I know during this time many people are worried about their finances with COVID like me. I really needed this surgery. When I found out how much my surgery was going to cost I panicked. I talked to a couple people about my estimate before I was transferred to the office manger Melissa. She spent 30 minutes on the phone with me and was personable.

By the end of the phone call we were laughing. She told me that I would be taken care of and she would like to see me when I came in for surgery. I felt informed about my options. I met her and she assured me that she would make sure I had a great experience under my difficult situtation. I was impressed she made a point to see me in person. The tone being set ahead of time led to me having a less stressful experience.

If your'e looking to get multiple ridiculously expensive bills, from multiple billing entities, employeed by people with attitude problems who have no concern for your well being, and none of whom actually communicate with eachother, then St Lukes is just the place for you!

Terrible. We had set up a surgery well over a month ahead, the Friday before a MONDAY morning surgery they get ahold of us saying we had to pay $1400 deposit to have the surgery.

When I lost my pregnancy recently I was going through a lot. I required surgery due to this and was overwhelmed by the kindness of one special nurse. Angela you made quite the impression and I truly am thankful for meeting you in this sad time for our family. EVERYONE at this facility was on their A game, even late at night when emergency surgery was required.

Thank you to those in the ED department and Dr. Almeida that sat down beside to show his condolences even though the emergency room was packed. This hospital will always be my choice of healthcare.

Didnt give my son any notice that a large deposit would be required and large monthly payments, which didn't take into consideration his income. Very disappointing. No wonder people can't afford health care and don't take care of themselves!

My son had surgery here yesterday. Every staff member from check in, insurance, nurses and doctors were all wonderful! Great experience for a worried mom. Facility itself was in great condition and WiFi was easy to access.
